Not difficult to say the least. But yea, you inspired me to learn, I looked it up online, how to knit. :D

Wow....so I'm like an inspiriation now?

Weird! It's so awesome that you took up knitting too really!

I think I may be in a bit of a shock right now~

Yep, I suppose you could consider yourself my inspiriation, I have wanted to in the past, but I would supopse that your post just pushed me forward. ^__^

Ahh...so I'm not really an inspiration, I just gave you a bit of a shove then? See now I don't feel as special.
Lol. Naw, that's cool.

BlackFeatherAngel 09-28-2007 02:36 AM

Well it is inspiration, because honestly I hadn't remembered that I wanted to learn til I read your post, then I went out and started buying knitting stuff, I just bought a new pair of needles and more yarn, so I have 4 things of yarn and 2 sets of needles now. But you did inspire me.

    Ah. 'Tis perfectly fine.

What type of yarn are you using? As in, brand, color batch, weight, etc. Also, what book/online course/whatever did you use to teach yourself?

I may be a guy, but I do know how to knit and crochet. My mom does both also. I perfer doing crochet seeing as it goes faster, even if it uses more yarn. Once you get good enough to not have to look at a large amount of the stitches, then it's really good for if you need something to do with your hands during otherwise insanely boring meetings and such. :3

Well....I'm not sure on all that info, but it's the Bernina? Eyelash stuff.
As for online course, I just randomly searched and when I found some good looking information I printed it off.

Edit: It's Bernat. I also have some Moda Dea in Cheri color:black

  • Wow. It tends to be better to start off with basic worsted weight yarn instead of going into the whole puffy but awesome looking stuff. But if you can do it just fine, then why not?

Speaking of, I really should go and use up some of the yarn my friend gave to me on my birthday. 8 months ago. xD

I don't think that's odd.
I actually think it's very cool of you to do something like that, and not be embarrassed or something, like a lot of guys would be.

Well, then I'm glad that I inspired you to pick up knitting.

@Yreka: Yeah, I figured out that grabbing the fluffy stuff to start out with was a mistake, but I got it worked out in the end. Now everyone wants knitted Christmas presents. It's really crazy.

Well when you have a friend who knits all the ideas of things you suddenly want start flowing because it's like "Why buy it when my friend can MAKE IT?! :O" That's what I sometimes do.

Lol...actually my mom started it. She wanted me to make a scarf because all the ones that she has aren't wide enough for her or something.

Eight 09-28-2007 07:17 PM

Odd~ It's not even scarf season yet! n.n

Is it?

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 07:34 PM

Getting close actually in another month or two it'll be cold enough out I'm sure. Anyway, I'm making it her Christmas present.

Eight 09-28-2007 07:39 PM

It's still hot as hell here. XD

Could knit a tanktop! ...Wait that's probably be a little weird, wouldn't it?

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 07:41 PM

Whoah! Where do you live then?

And I don't think it'd be weird...*wiggles eyebrows*

Eight 09-28-2007 07:45 PM

Good ol' Florida. The SUNSHINE STATE. >:/ Where it rains almost every afternoon.

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 07:47 PM

Ah okay...see, I'm from Montana. That explains a lot.

Eight 09-28-2007 07:49 PM

And as soon as I graduate I'm moving to California for awhile. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 07:52 PM

Actually that does sound pretty fun.,..and hey, I know a few people who live in Cali!

Eight 09-28-2007 07:54 PM

My boyfriend lives there now. That's the only reason I'm going. XD

Here's hoping we end up moving somewhere colder later. @[email protected]

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 07:57 PM

Ok..do you want cold cold...or snowy cold. Colorado is good if you're just wanting snow...Montana is good if you really want cold. Believe me, I know these things.

Eight 09-28-2007 08:00 PM

I miss the snow, mostly.

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 08:04 PM

Then Colorado's definitely the place to go. I mean, it snows in Montana too, but where I'm at at least, it doesn't snow much or last long.

Eight 09-28-2007 08:15 PM

I'll see if I can convince him to go for it. XD

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 08:19 PM

heh, well good luck with it...and nice hair change!

Eight 09-28-2007 08:22 PM

Thanks. I've been having lots of fun with this. XD

Zane Troy 09-28-2007 08:24 PM

Yeah, I bet....it is kinda cool how you can change your hair whenever you want.

Eight 09-28-2007 08:27 PM

And for free~
