I don't like products that has much oil in it. It just makes my skin feel all icky. And as for me I broke out quite often in my teenage years. I'm 20 now, and I'm relieved to say that my skin has gotten fairly better, the occasional one or two that pop up when I'm stressed or right before my period. Funny how I'm not going crazy with taking care of it though. I believe it could just be due to hormonal imbalance and maybe even genetics. For example, parents that have had them would mean that their offspring are likely to get them as well. Both of my parents had them in their younger years but it disappeared as they got older. And the more I think about it the more I believe it's that and my hormonal imbalance that had caused me to break out back in high school. But now, it's not bad at all. I don't feel so self conscious about my skin anymore. With proper care and time and a healthy diet. It'll most likely go away.

I don’t do anything to my skin and it’s almost flawless. I hate the feeling of face products or make up on my face so I don’t put anything on it. I never had a problem when I was a teen either.

You're not a freak though, everyone has their perks! |
My dad is a chinese chef - he and my mom makes a lot of soup, we eat fruits daily, and my lil sis have been brought up with pretty good hygeine practices. Plus, we rarely are outside.
I rarely rarely get anything on my face. BUT, I guess because I live in florida and I don't drink a lot of water, my only skin problem is very dried and stretched skin... foo. I miss how I looked like as a child too! My skin shown brightly! Now, after years of florida sun, I have dark tanned skin. |

If you're cleansing well before and after makeup I'd suggest doing a few things.
1. Try a different soap. Clinique cleansers work well for me. Just look for something that fits your skin type. Talk to someone at a make-up store or pharmacy and they'll be able to find you products that will work well for your skin. Mind you, good products will cost you quite a bit but I'd say it's worth it for healthy skin. Also, don't use a wash cloth to cleanse or right after cleansing as it can irritate sensitive skin. Use your hands to lather and allow your skin to dry for a few moments before touching a wash cloth to it. When it has dried a bit gently dab with the cloth. NEVER wipe your face. 2. Try a better moisturizer. Again, just speak with a store representative about your skin type and they'll help you find something. You want a good quality product and you want to use it often. 3. Carry hand sanitizer or cleaning pads with you always. Touching your face with dirty hands is HORRIBLE for your skin. Make sure to wash your hands after handling equipment, using the washroom, eating, and generally just every hour or so. 4. If hair is constantly in your face the grease could be causing blemishes. Try washing hair more frequently or using a deep conditioner. 5. If the problem exists and you have none of the above problems consult your doctor about hormone controlling pills that will aid with acne. She'll find you something to help you. :] I wouldn't recommend acne scrubs such as proactive as it can cause rashes on sensitive skin. |
I feel too old to be getting pimples and spots as well, I used to have really bad breakouts as a teenager, its getting better now, to some degree but during my period I notice it gets worse.

Spots and pimples are horrible and as an adult I get then when its that time of the month. I hate them and always get selfconsious about them too. I always feel that people are looking at me even though I tell myself to get over it. I use a tea tree oil face wash as that is natural as my skin is combination skin, hope that helps.
