Ice cream trucks. . . yeah those are fun!! There used to be one that went down my block, but it disappeared by the time I started first grade. . . D:
The one time I remember getting something from it, I got a red white and blue popsicle. . . I was so proud of myself for having the courage to go up to the truck, even though it was with my dad. . . those were the good times! 8D |
I used to love Rocket Pops! They would always melt on me, though, and I'd get sticky. The other ones I loved were the ones that looked like cartoon characters( like mickey mouse) or like animals (puppies and kitten). The kids in my cauldasac would all here the bells and run to it and ask the guy driving to come back in five minutes so we could ask our parent for money, and he would say sure and drive around the block. We would all sprint to our parents and beg for money and then sprint back and wait for the ice cream truck to come back. I loved it back then. |
If I could go back in time, I'd go back to when I was eleven years old. And I'd ride my bike around for hours on end, and play Barbies with my sisters which was pretty much making up elaborate real life adventures for the dolls.
Also, I'd probably play with my dog, she was pretty awesome. She'd let us dress her up in clothes, and then she'd sleep for hours on end. She was our real life "baby". I miss her. |

I used to have a tamagachi (or however you spell it). My friend got it for me for my birthday after I kept begging her to let me play on hers XD.
Every time my dad saw me carrying around the pink keychain he would say "Is it dead yet?" He didn't like the tamagatchi. I was really bad at taking care of them, I killed a lot before the battery ran out! |
Lol 64 when you were a kid?? I feel so old, I had a nintendo and a super nintendo when I was a kid...for something simpler I loved teenage mutant ninja turtles and my little ponies.
I had a playstation in junior high, oh and a tamagachi too!! |
Omg okies here is a blast from the past and I hope no one else has said it yet but if so sorries for saying it again, how about sega! such a cool machine that was. I used to love playing that, though I can't remember what games were for that console. I also loved eating jam and cream sangas as a kid, I still do on the rare moments of sweet attacks. Also my other fav thing as a kid were swinging on swings, doesn't matter what kind of swings it would be, like a tire swing or the park swing I could just swing and swing onwards for hours on end.

When I was a kid, I had Atari. I also loved Guess who and Battle ship. I also remember when electronic Battle ship came out. I used to love watching My little pony, Fraggle rock, Underdog, and Teenager mutant ninja turtles. I remember when N64 came out and it was the big thing to get. My sister had to get it for her birthday when it came out a few weeks before her birthday and it was hard to find.

I still play my Nintendo 64. XD I have some more recent platforms, but I have like, barely any games for them, because now I'm at a point in my life where I'd rather buy books, CDs, or clothes, not games. But I have a ton of N64 games from back when games were the most important thing, and since you were too bad to ever beat them, you could play them ad infinitum. I've recently gone back to some of my old games (Paper Mario, Ocarina of Time, Spyro, etc) and found that I finally kick ass at them. XD I'm about, ohh... seven years behind on this, but oh well. XD
Uhm, anyway, back to the original topic. Yeah, I think it may be a bit fun to be eight again. But only for a day. Running around with big squirt guns playing James Bond with these two guys I knew. Buying pokemon cards, and pretending we were all pokemon trainers. Huge games of tag in my backyard with alot of the kids in the neighborhood, making up dances to Britney Spears songs. Fun fun. Jeez, it's been eight years since then. o.O |
You all are making me feel really old. We didn't have tomagochi when I was a kid, we had atari and some people I believe had the original Nintendo. I used to go out and play army and football and pass frisbee with my brother and our friends in the neighborhood, that was fun and much better than sitting around playing video games. We would watch Scooby Doo and The Jetsons and The Flintstones just to name a few every Saturday morning and be outside before noon and our parents might not see us again until dinner.

My birthday is coming up this Friday and so far I have little plans for that day.
They include having dinner with some of my friends, playing Smash on both the N64 and GCN (As well as other multi-player games we can get a hold of), and going to this one park to play games (Possibly tag, hide-and-seek, ninja, and anything else we can think of). You would never guess that I was turning 18. One of my friends will be turning 20 in just a couple months too. |
My mom and I are big kids together. We love to do fun things and act like kids almost constantly. We squirt eachother with water guns and stuff.
But one thing I'd like to go back in time to change. Someone in my area had a state kid and was taking care of him. His name was Andrew. I was his only friend and she decided to give him away because she didn't want to keep giving him his meds every day and take care of him. One thing that everyone laughed at him for was that he watched Barney. So what? xD I let him have his first taste of being on the computer. Boy did he ever have fun. I miss him. ;______; My mom and I are pretty cool together. 8] I wanna dig out the old Atari and play DigDug now. |
-What things did you remember doing as a child?
I remember going out and swinging on the swingset in the backyard, swimming in the pool, riding one of those kid Jeeps around the yard, and climbing trees non-stop. Also -- Sega Genesis and the early Nintendo model games were my LIFE. When Game Boys came out, it was a hay day for about 6 months. -Don't you wanna go do them again now that you're older, just for the hell of it? I wish I could relive my entire childhood over again. It's such a shame that it had to blast by so quickly. How I miss it. T_T -NINTENDO SIXTY FOUUUUURRRRR. OMG. ♥ The year N64 came out, I think I was 6. First game I remember snagging was Super Mario 64. I played that game non-stop till I beat it. Eventually, Zelda OoT came out and that replaced SM64 as my favorite -- it really, still is one of my favorites and definitely a classic (it's just when I was 8, the redeads scared me!). But yeah -- tons of great games for the N64. <3 |
I remember hanging out at my grandma's with my cousins, eating yogurt, and playing Dr. Mario on the N64 until the sun went down.

I do the same things I did when I was younger.
|
i would always play Mario Paint on the SNES. xD i was obsessed with it until the mouse broke. ;__; |
Omg, i'd love to. I remember getting my bowl of cookie crisp, flopping down on this recliner we had and watching Digimon and rugrats. I think my dad still has the rugrats tapes he bought me. I should go get them and go back to my past... I used to play almost all day. I'd go over my friends house and we'd make Firendship bracelets and play with legos. xD; I truly do miss those days. The 90's were the best. Haha... N-synch dolls...
|
I always remember coming home from school and watching Cheese T.V I used to love that show. On the weekends it was sports, lots of sports and then Nintendo or my game boy though I don't remember what my fav games where. No wait on Nintendo it was Donkey Kong and on my game boy it was pokemon yellow or gold. Whichever I chose to play at the time.
