Let's go back in time. <3
This idea came out of another thread I was just in. About cereal. :D
When I was a little kid, I would eat cereal in the afternoon while watching Animaniacs. Ain't nothing like a big bowl of Trix to get your giggle on! n_n After Animaniacs, I'd turn on the Nintendo 64 and play Super Mario 64 or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. And I remember I'd eat those microwavable Kid Cuisine thingehs. 8D Such a lazy kid, I know. What's the point of me telling you this? Here: Ever thought for just one day, you could go back to the carefree life you had when you were a kid? I would LOVE to just take a trip with my buddies to the grocery store and stock up on Lunchables, Kid Cuisine, and Fruity Pebbles, and watch my Animaniacs DVD and dust off the ol' N64 and go for a few rounds of Diddy Kong Racing for an afternoon of nostalgia. ♥ There are just so many things to worry about when you're an old woman like me (well, I'm 19) like school and work and your relationships. What if for just one day, you were 8 again and your only worry was your Tamagotchi dying. :B Here's a colorful spork for you cereal! -What things did you remember doing as a child? -Don't you wanna go do them again now that you're older, just for the hell of it? -NINTENDO SIXTY FOUUUUURRRRR. When I was a kid? Eh, I like now better.
But I did like playing with Barbies and things. The toys that I had were cooler then, too. (I still play with Barbies, though, so there you go.) The toys that 'm talking about are the "Little Pet Shop" ones (they look high/sad/old now) or the "Puppy in My Pocket" ones (which looked much more realistic back then). |

I do too, for the most part. xD I have all the Animaniacs DVDs (so far) and I still have my N64 hooked up. But there are some things that you do when you're a kid that you can't really do when you're an adult, like play tag in the park or something. Well... I kinda wanna do that now. <<

If I could spend one day as a kid again...gawd I have no idea what I would do, just as long as It didn't contain any form of Art coursework, planning university visits, solving friends boyfriend problems or Tea Room waitressing I don't really mind. Nintendo Sixty Four Rules all XD I think we still have ours somewhere in our attic???? I miss the simplistic life ;-; |
I recently hooked my N64 back up and started playing Zelda again. XD I love my N64! *huggles it*

I had a ton of them..... I think my parents bought me stuff like that because they didn't buy me video games. (I also had a ton of books. I've got more now. XD)
Yeah....... I went through a phase a few years ago where I was all, "I'm not going to play with my Barbies...... I'm not going to do this stuff, even though I might like to, because I'm too grown-up now.....", but I've since then decided to more or less do what makes me happy--not dependent on age "rules" (You're too old to play with Barbies/toys, etc.). Those always bothered me, anyway. |
I have friends that act like a kid with me. We play tag and such with water guns. All sorts of stuff ^_^ It's great. I'm now a senior in high school, and the others have graduated.

I used to watch animaniacs when I was reaalah young, I remember sunday cartoons and the awsome cartoons back then even if I was really young xD THOSE WERE THE DAYS. Lolz. |

I never watched Animaniacs (although it seems like everyone else did), but I watched stuff like Rescue Rangers, Tailspin, and Darkwing Duck. <3 I remembered my older sister watching them when I was little, and couldn't wait until I could. |

I looooved Darkwing Duck. XD I used to run around with a towel tied around my neck with a big ol' hat my mom had, and I'd be liek "LETS. GET. DANGEROUS!!" while sliding down the stair railing. Omg. <3 That was so fun.

I had an extreme obsession with Barney. Seriously, I would leave my friends in the middle of a game of house or something to go run home and watch it. I remember I rented a Barney Halloween VHS tape and watched it probably 20 times over the 3 days I had it.

I loved Barney too, when I was 5 or so. Before my goofy gamer phase. ♥ My dad recorded Barney for me on videotape every day. xDD I think I still have them somewheres.

When I was really young, about three to five ish, I wanted to grow up to be the little mermaid. (The silly things kids think of! My friend wanted to be a T-rex.) About the time I started elementary school, though, I decided I didn't want anything to do with it. It's funny, because now I kind of like it again. . . well the music, anyway (under the sea. . .)

When I was a kidd? OH! Those were the fuckin days man. Wake up around eight , play barbies. Wake up my sister. We'd sit around til like, three or four in the afternoon && play mario bros. on the oldschool nintendo[yeah, I'm radd]. =] Then We'd sleep && sleep && sleep. && watch Dragon Ball Z. mhmm. Then, while everyone would sleep at night I'd sneak out of bed && lie on the floor next to the vent with the cool air in it && think. <3 |

Dragon Ball was teh awesome. <33 8D And so were Legos! My friend from across the street had a whole crapload of those things and they were scattered all over his floor. ^^;

I miss being a little kid t_t
I used to cut up old socks and towels and make clothes for my barbies ^-^ I was a very creative little one. I made a bean bag chair out of a sock filled with beads. And I made a lava lamp out of tape and beads. I also would tape up the barbies legs and arms to give them casts. I would spends hours just making stuff like that. I also used to play action figures with my brother. He had a HUGE box full of them. We'd just dump them out on the living room floor and we'd fight over who got the best characters. The one we'd usually fight over the most was Freeza [sp?] from DBZ =] We'd make little 'hideouts' underneath the table and have our actions figures think up ways to fight each other. Yes, I miss the good old days u_u |
Man, I grew up with a bunch of guys. We all lived right down the street from eachother and we'd play like everyday. My best friend lived right next door and he'd come over and we'd play with my barbies or make mud pies, jump off my swing set and eat honeysuckles.
About 10 minutes from my house was this small amusement park that we went to a lot. It was the kind focused on the younger crowd and you had to buy tickets to get on the rides. Ahh... those were the days... When I didn't have five hours of homework each night and I still found playing dress up fun. *sigh* |
I used to play outside a lot when I was a kid.
No computer until I was 10 years old, and we had no gaming consoles or anything as my parents didn't approve of them. My sister, myself and the six other kids our sort of age from the neighbourhood would build camps in the woods and hideout there. We somehow got hold of an old baby buggy, so we'd wonder around pretending we were a crazy family. The smallest kid went in the buggy and the rest of us were all 'family members' I was the crazy grandpa and I wasn't allowed to walk in a straight line, so I had to weave around the place. My sister's best friend was the crazy sister, and she used to have to sit in the middle of the road until a car came o_o My best friend was the drunken father with the shotgun and he'd carry around a bicycle pump which was his "Gun" and he'd shoot rabbit food out of the pump at random things. We were odd little kids, but we had fun :D In the summer one of us always had a paddling pool set up in the yard, so we'd all splash about and have fun <3 If it was raining out, I'd hide in my closet that I'd named "Warewolf Castle" and I'd just sit in there with a torch reading books. My sister and I were only allowed two toys at a time each, probably to stop my Mum going insane with cleaning up after us all the time xD So my sister had a Sindy doll and a panda plushie and I had two Action Man figures. Sometimes Action Man and Sindy would have wedding ceremonies if my sister and her friends got their way, and other times Sindy dressed up in combats and got to run around fighting monsters (toilet roll tubes with scary faces drawn on them) with Action Man if I got my own way xD I remember always thinking that when I had my own money I'd have as many toys as I could handle. So now I'm an adult and I collect Action Man figures and have well over 100 of them :shock: I wouldn't go back though. I still am really close with my sister and I have more toys to play with now xD I do kind of miss doing stuff outside though. ...sometimes. |
I loved the animaniacs! I want them back! We need a wheel of morality! I question the morals of people younger than me too often. I also used have kids Cuisine everyday after summerschool. OMG! I wish I could go back. I still, sometimes play Super Mario 64, even though I've beaten it like 15 times. I also liked mario party ( I only had the first two) but my Older brother's ex-girlfriend stole them. >.< Something else I missed, was Ice cream trucks. Where the heck did they go? And Police officers that would drive around the neighbor hood and when he saw a group of kids, he'd give them stickers or baseball card. No one would think he was a pedo or anything, because he wasn't. He was just nice! I miss lemonade stands, as well. (I was part of one of those cauldasacs that had kids of all different ages and we were all friends. Life was perfect, then I moved. T-T) Man. Now I'm sad. I really miss the good old days. It was all sunshine and happiness. |
