It is the bit about being naked with opposite sex family members that bothers me the most too. ESPECIALLY a naked developed girl in front of male family members.
Maybe this is because I just expect males to be lecherous, but maybe that's because most are? To me, it's 100% inappropriate for a father to see his young and nubile daughter naked, the same goes for an adult brother, it's completely wrong in my mind. |
I have to agree Jelly. Nudity is most often related to sex and it's just not proper for a man to be around his very developed daughter naked.
Juru, I would be a bit annoyed to see a woman doing that. Not with the fact of her breastfeeding in public because that's necessary at times but just letting the child go like that. She could have waited until the child was finished before checking out in my opinion. |

Going to a nudist beach with my parents would just be awkward. I'm no way ashamed of my body and where bikinis in the summer around my parents, but being naked is just on a whole different level of weirdness. Me and my parents have a good relationship I guess, it's just not THATT close.

My parents never walk around naked or anything like that. I don’t have a problem with seeing people naked because to me it’s the same thing as seeing a hand or a foot. It just doesn’t bother me. I used to always bathe with my brother when we were younger. I don’t see anything dirty about that kind of stuff. I don’t see a problem with showering with a friend either I just wouldn’t do it.
I’m very shy about my body, even though I’m pretty happy with it. I don’t care about walking around topless; I just don’t want anyone to see anything below the waist. I hate showing off my legs too. I would go to a nude beach, but only go topless and I’d have to go with a group of friends otherwise I would probably feel weird being topless. I hate bikinis, mostly because they don’t fit me right because I have a flat chest and I personally think they look weird on me. |
I used to like... shower with my dad like whatever. And we used to be all open with it, but as my brother and I grew older we just stopped being naked in front of eachother.

I grew up with my mom and brother, and we were always veryvery private. When i went to boarding school, one of my roommates was a nudist. That's when i realized two things- that i'm bi, and that i have a thing for blondes x'3 I wouldn't go to one now, as i've found the love of my life and i don't think he would be into it. But i totally would have before i met him :'3 |
I think it is a boy's thing to be naked in front of each other idk maybe it is culturally encouraged, you know lockers and showers at clubs always have divisions for women but an open shower for men (at least where I live)

Nope, but me and my dad talk sex and stuff all the time. even down to him showing me where a sex shop was and what they have...yeah let's leave that as vague otherwise people will get the wrong idea about my dad. Basically If I want to know something sex related I ask him. Did sometime one of your parents had a shower with you both being naked? Probably a bath at one time or another... Is this whole thing dirty? Not really.... Am I the one with complexes? Nope. I don't mind topless but not fully naked... Have you seen any other member of your family naked like brothers/sisters? if so , was it when you were children? /grown up? Well me my sister and our cousen Natalie all shared a bath...only those two liked the water so hot it turned all our bottoms red...And I dress my cousens all the time. Seriously though, I don't have much problem with nudity. It's natural. Though I prefer my clothes on a normal basis. |

As for going to a nude beach... I wouldn't even set foot on a topless beach ^.^; Heck, you'd be lucky if you could get me to go to a regular beach while wearing just a bathing suit. I'm very self conscious about my body. I also don't particularly like seeing other people's bodies. I'm a "clothes" person... In bulk... the more layers the better ^.^; |
It's sort of normal here in the Netherlands to go topless on a beach, you don't
have to go to a nude beach for that. I don't know, I don't mind nude people but I won't go nude myself, not even topless. I don't think it's dirty but I don't like to watch those nude old males ><" I wear bikinis, but not tiny ones, hell no. Sometimes when I dive into the water too hard I feel my top slip off, then I have to struggle in the water to get it back on x_x I HATE that... |
in some places..nude beaches are totally acceptable, even with FAMILY!! lol, sorry, us canadians are a conservative bunch :P
i think i would probably go :) if i was with my boyfriend or a girlfriend of mine..but not with family :? that would just be...weird.. |

Because euro trip said it right. During tourist season people get sick of horny tourists oggling them so they leave the touristy ones and go to lesser known beaches :P

I wouldn't set foot a mile near a nudist beach. I'm very self conscience of my body, and for heaven's sake. I go crazy if my mom or dad so as much open the door while I'm taking a bath, forget walking in the nude in public! And I don't want to see things. At all. Thank you. >.>; If minors aren't allowed porn, why are they allowed on the nudist beach anyways?

nudity isn't porn. It's only porn if it's doing explicit things. Just being naked doesn't count. Just to answer your question.

When I was little I took baths with my family. I can't remember much of it anyway. And when I grew up more like, preteen+, my mum's seen me undressed a bit because of various circumstances. My mom doesn't care about seeing me or having me see her, because like your mom said, "who gave birth to you?" after all, and we're both female, so it's not like anything bad will happen; so in example if my mom bought me a shirt and she's impatient to see whether it fits me or not, unless I huff, "MOM, GO WAIT OUTSIDE TILL I'M DONE" she'll just stand there. I don't really like being seen in undressed states in front of her, but sometimes I just don't care enough to be prudish and insist for my own mother to leave my room when she's just gone out and bought something for me. So after stuff like that I've gotten a little more casual again. I'd never go naked, but I wander around in my loose tanktop & pjs in front of my whole family.
I also have a friend who comes from a hippie family, and she's seen lots of her family naked. She also doesn't wear a bra. She's flashed me a lot accidentally because of that.... >_>;;; but anyway, she's a complete innocent. She doesn't see anything wrong with it, because like other people have brought up, she doesn't associate nakedness to sex. Naked=nature to her. In fact, she gets embaressed and dislikes the topic of sex and thinks its nasty. So there you go. So yeah, you have a complex just because you weren't raised that way... I too would be very freaked out if someone was used to going naked in front of family of the opposite sex.... that makes me cringe. But as for parents and their little children being naked, that's okay, as long as it's all innocent. You can't have a parent start telling you what sex is or watching R movies around you and still taking showers with you when you're a child, because you'll get confused and that could lead to bad things... when it's just plain and innocent, it's fine. Like what, Japan's famous communal hot springs baths. That sort of thing is an outing, just a trip, usually a family one, even. Totally fine. |
