I prefer showers and normally everyday. Sometimes I take a bath when I feel dirty (like I sweat all day or something). I prefer showers and I usually wash my hair everyday because of how my hair is or I would do it every other day if I don't feel like handling it that day.

I'd have to say I haven't had a bath in a few months. (Don't worry, I don't stink I just shower instead. D:)

In any case, I do think how you bath/shower is very culture dependent. When I went to Japan, the shower required you to sit on a stool in front of a mirror, and if you bathed it was after you were already clean, and was just so you could relax. I got to use a public bath in Kyoto, but it was indoors not a hot spring type.

I live in a humid and tropical country x.x;

I usually take 3-4 1 hr baths on a day xD

I shower daily.
It's a necessity for me to be clean.

Eserel 10-11-2007 03:47 AM

I take showers. Not baths. xP Baths make me feel all gross. Like I'm washing up in a pool. Its just so strange.

[Ogin] 10-11-2007 04:07 AM

I shower once a day.
I only take a bath when I am stessed or sore...so not very often.

Sakura 10-11-2007 07:02 AM

I shower once a day.

Because I live in Scotland it's normally freezing, so it's not often more than that. But if it's a really sticky summer I'll shower before I go to bed and again when I get up.

Ecto11 10-11-2007 07:12 AM

In the Philippines, the country of cleanliness, you have to take a bath once or twice a day if you don't want to be outliers*, if you take only one bath a week then alot of your co-workers or classmates or even friends will think your careless, the Philippines is perfect for daily bathing since its rich in water and its an archipelago*. I think it has the lowest water bills (I think). Taking baths thrice is the most special thing to do in the Philippines when it comes to bathing

I live in Canada so the weather is pretty docile. Nothing too brutal. I usually take one shower a day, two if I do a lot of physical exercise or something.

I shower once a day in the morning before I got to work. I try not to wash my hands unless I need to because I have really bad eczema so any kind of soap irritates the heck out of my hands. I still end up washing them like 50 times a day anyway, even though it makes my hands bleed. But yeah, back on topic, I have really dry hair now too because a friend of mine left he bleach on my hair for too long so I can’t wash it too much. I normally only shampoo once in the shower and use this awesome conditioner that she got for me. I don’t normally have time to shower more than once a day anyway.

It's hotter here than in the "average" state, Arizona being my own, so it's generally the social norm to bathe daily. I have met folks who bathe Bi-Daily, and usually they're asked, "uh, why not daily?" I try to bathe before bed, as in the night your body produces the oils your body needs for the next day, and in my opinion that makes a morning bath quite negative. But i ramble.

  • I shower once a day if I've not gone outside... and usually it occurs in the afternoon or evening.

My hair gets washed about every other day.

However, if I go outside, it's once before I leave and once when I get back, and my hair probably gets washed both times xD

I hate taking baths though. It's like soaking in dirt soup. @[email protected] EWW...

Astronautical 10-11-2007 09:41 AM

At least once a day.
I can't stand being dirty.

Kitzu 10-11-2007 09:51 AM

I shower....When I feel like it. xD Last time I showered was....Uh....Yesterday morning, but before that? xD Well, it was somewhere around Thursday. xD I usually just wash off smelly areas. xD I'll wash my bangs in the sink every morning I don't shower (except I ran out of time this morning, so I just pinned them back)

If my hair is starting to seem oily, I'll wash it in the tub. ('Cuz it's fast)

I, personally, hate showering, it's a waste of time, but once I'm in the shower....Heaven. <3 xD I confuse myself as to why I feel that way. xD

Bath's.....Haven't had one for...Hmmm....7ish years. :3 Not sure why, a nice soak could probably do wonders for all the stress right now. xP

I'll most likely shower tomorrow morning. :D If I wake up early enough, that is. xD

Coyote-Walker 10-11-2007 12:40 PM

Oh, it's just once a day here. But I never really thought about all the different factors that would play into it, really. I guess I just supposed in this more modern day you wouldn't have to worry about freezing from a bath and such.

Cherish 10-11-2007 12:43 PM

Good topic, I've never thought about that before!

Well, I'm English, so our climate is pretty temperate; not really very hot or very cold.

Personally, I tend to take a shower every morning, and occasionally another one at night, too, before I go to bed.

...

I don't take baths, I take showers instead. :3 Ah, and it's all 'cause of the water restriction~ Lawl.

Well, I take showers everyday~ I can't stand it if I don't take a shower, I'll feel all weird and stuff. Shampoos is a must for every shower! :3 That goes for conditioners as well~

Gwendolyr 10-11-2007 12:46 PM

Generally, I'm a lazy smuck, I only take one shower a day. But sometimes, if I have an outing or something, I might shower early in the morning beforehand, and then another shower when I come back all dusty and worn-out.

You have news 10-11-2007 12:47 PM

I never would of thought that where you live would change around how many times you have a bath or shower.

Well I live in England but the weather does not effect my need to have a shower every day.
If I get very hot then I will have a shower when I get home.
If I am cold I will not have a shower just to warm myself up.

I try to have a shower every day but this is not always true for the weekends though...

Fem_chan 10-11-2007 12:54 PM

I was raised by the seaside, so when I was a lil' Fem I rarely had to bathe,
I just went swimming and took a quick shower on the beach afterwards.
In the winter my mother had to catch me and practically stuff me into the tub XD
Growing older I grew less rebelious ^^;;

Nowadays:
I take frequent showers, depends on how much I sweat really (and as Brussels is so poluted, even on cold days, you'll be sweating more easily-this city has an odd climate on its own).
I wash each morning (and evening before bed/if I go out, I take an extra shower),
plus,
I make it a habit to wash my hair every two days (I must force myself to do so, it's so long and a real pain to comb afterwards each time).

I consider a good shower (and especially a bath) total luxury. My shower consists of a cabin with a broken showerhead and a bucket. I must use the bucket to collect water and wash my hair with ^^;;

Syntax Ziichii 10-11-2007 01:05 PM

In my place, it is hot. So, I take a bath every day. Sometimes, I take a shower in the evening because I feel sticky because of sweat. Also, in here, if anyone knew that you did not take a bath or a shower, they will tease you to death. ;(

LUCANTIA 10-11-2007 02:49 PM
