Is it just me or are the size range of clothes getting smaller and smaller every year, Im not a huge person myself but I noticed the actual numbers like size 0 pants used to be commonly 3 or so. I feel like I am getting over wieght and then I realize im not even changing size at all, it's silly how they can do that to you.

Discuss.

I've noticed that too!
I've seen soo many size Zeros it's disgusting. >.<
I can understand if girls are actually that size but really, come on.
Can you at least add another pair of each size in there as well? >.O

I almost wasn't able to get my favorite pants because of this.
Last pair in my size and there was able 4 size 0's and sizes under 5. >.<

You shouldn't feel overweight, hell weight doesn't matter.
It is just clothes.
People look much better in clothes that actually fit them instead of smaller sizes.
Fat going over the sides are icky, so just get a bigger size but don't feel bad, you'll look 10x better in it!

Back in the day I wore a size 7 but now it's somewhere around 9 or 11. :o
11's are pretty big on me since I started to work out but 9's are sometimes snug with can be uncomfy and it feels like I'm walking with a stick up my ass until it breaks in more. xD

I wouldn't say I'm big at all.
I've been called skinny most of my life. D:

I think girls who think skinny is any size smaller then 4 has a problem. >.<

It really doesn't do much for a girl's self-image to tell her if you aren't a stick, my clothes aren't for you.

It's scary to think they just keep making things smaller too, one day there will be -100's and then the people who use that size wont even be able to be seen >.< haha.

  • Walmart is a depressing store. They use to sell bottoms for my size, but now adays I can never fit there stuff. They got rid of my size, no joke. I'm overweight, but not in a noticing manner. Sadly the highest number I ever see is size 13. Wtf, what happened to size 15?
    >__________<

I wish it was cool to be overweight.

I used to be a 4 and now I'm a 6.
Depressing . . .

One of things I despise most is trying on jeans that are too small. It makes me feel really chubby and icky.
It doesn't help that either I've gained weight or I'm bloated (I'm betting on the first one)

It's one thing being built bigger, but when my sides and tummy get large, it depresses me.
Sad thing is, I haven't really been eating.
I've been skipping lunch, but I only get heavier.

My sister, on the other hand, never find jeans too small for her. Ugh . . .><

hey, if you want to lose weight your going the wrong way about it.

Skipping meals means your body retains more fat than normal cos it thinks there's a shortage of food.

Eat every meal, ok? Have cereal for breackfast (bran or something) a decent lunch (like a sandwich and a salad) and a light dinner (maybe some pitta and a healthy kebab with peppers and onions and stuff...) or turn vegetrian and eat the healthy vegetable stuff ^^

but dont destroy your body... you might look skinny, but trust me, if your not eating right youl just look gaunt and ugly... i went through that and it was nasty. now that im a seize 10 (i think!) my boobs are bigger, i have hips, and guys like it!! and the best thing of all, so do i, i like my body right now. I just want to tone it, so i have some muscle instead of flesh on my tummy. just... eat normally, k?

I've never had clothes that are too small or anything, but I've noticed that most stores are only carrying things under size 10.

It is really getting annoying actually it is like the diet people and then clothes stores are ganging up on big people; people get big, find they can't buy new clothes then they go on diets and spends a bundle there. It is also so horrible to find that you can't fit into the clothes anymore I know my mum has trouble buying clothes cause most shops just don't cater for the bigger people even though most of the people out there can't fit into such small sizes.

Oh, thank Jeebus it's not just me....

I was starting to think that I was getting really huge! And it was puzzling me because I've been eating less and less yet my size keeps going up and up.

Thanks for letting me know about this, my self esteem just went SOARING through the roof!

Stupid clothes making people!....

I've never had a problem finding things my size, but sometimes I'll see a size zero and wonder who possibly fits into it; a twelve year old maybe? I'm usually a size 1-2, but it can be larger depending on the store. Why they aren't all just the same I'll never know :?

Well..I haven't really noticed..I don't look at sizes often HARHR.
But I HAVE noticed that the clothes in the usual stores I go to are a bit snug.. :/
I haven't been to an American clothes shop in 2 years so I wouldn't really know whats going on there.. :S
I'll have to investigate. >D
But I think it's lame how they want to make us feel fat, even though we're fine the way we are..

I soooo noticed at that to! Seriously why they put the clothes smaller each year that passes by?! Do they want to people get pettit or something?! Or they want people start starving to be able to get in the clothes?! =O I don't know anymore but they should make clothes a big bigger because in the end of the day we are not anorectic models or something similar to that!

I know!
Yes I'm a n00b.
Stores make me feel so fat nowadays.
I know i'm not but it's like I'm getting wider everyday.
before it was sorta okay, but now? ... ugh.
YOu shouldn't feel overweight though.
Think of clothes as...something you have to wear 'cause if you don't, you'll be naked.

Oh really? I haven't noticed...Then again, I don't go out buying clothing much; since I've been able to fit in the same clothing for about..two years, I believe. xD;

And ew. Wearing 3 sizes smaller than you is NOT cute, and I keep on seeing people who dress like that. It's very disgusting.

Eeep! I thought I was just getting fatter.
I keep having to go up and up in sizes. Now I think I officially wear a 9, though I like to wear pants that are two sizes too big for me.

Those assholes. Quit making us feel fat.

I went Halloween shoping today, I found the CUTEST outfit ever. The tag on it said that it was my size and I was like "YES" but when I tried it on... It didn't fit in... certain area's.

I've also noticed that a lot of clothes are getting rather...skimpy. I don't mind it, but it's getting near the time of the year when I don't wnat to be running around in that kind of clothing. Plus I don't want to have my legs.

It also depends on who you buy your clothes from because different brands design clothes for different body shapes.

For me, if a brand designs clothing for a woman with actual hips I'm a size 4 but if the design is for a boy-shape figure, I'd need at least a size 6. What was really depressing for me is that recently I lost enough weight were I can fit in a size 4 (was a size 6), so I needed to go shopping for pants that fit again and I found that I can range from the smallest of 2 to a size 8. I was so depressed looking at the 8 and thinking "I just lost a pant size so why does something that is 2 sizes bigger fit better than my own size?".

More clothes are being made for women with no shape at all that its making those with actual curves feel fat. I have a skinny waist but (as my boyfriend likes to say) 'good baby-birthing hips'. It never really bothered me in high school because I never thought I would be smaller than a 6. Then I actually do get smaller and I have to be real careful of where I shop to not bruise my ego.

Sizes are definitely getting smaller. D:
In most jeans, I'm about a 7. But in alot of "trendy" stores or what-have-you (Aeropostale, Old Navy, whatever, stores like that), according to a size chart, I'm a 9 or a 10. o.O
Even before I lost twenty-something pounds, I was not a 10. So I don't know what crack they were smoking when they decided "HAY LETZ CHANGE THE SIZEZ 2 MAK PPL FEEL BAD! LOL!"
Don't judge your weight based on your clothes. Judge your weight based on a scale. If some dumb store says you're 2 sizes bigger than you actually are, but the scale says you're the same, you know the store's just bullshitting.
[But keep in mind that you temporarily gain weight on PMS, your period, and after you eat. The water weight from PMS can be as much as seven pounds or so, just don't weigh yourself until your period is about over. ^^]
