Okay so I'm finnally back in school and I'm taking a math class for the first time since I was 16 and I just realized... I dun remember how to convert mixed numbers Like 4 and 3/5 into improper fractions!!! Gah! this whole chapter calls for that crap! I feel so dumb! T-T

Sooo... Have you guys forgotten something really simple and then felt really stupid for doing so...

and can someone please tell me how and the hell I'm supposed to convert mixed numbers into mixed fractions... :oops:

I forget math really easy. I’m horrible with numbers. Luckily I don’t need math the be in the radio business so I’m not all too worried about it. I can't help you much with the math thing, sorry.

Multiply 4 by 3, which equals 20. Then, since the 20 is the number on top, the 5 is the number on the bottom~

so you have say... 2 2/4 . Four being the denomonater, you multiply two by for, then add the numerator, in this case, 2. So it would be 2*4+2= 10. Then you just put that number over the denomonator: 10/4

Well I just started in Grade 9 and in math were picking up were we left off in grade 8, with converting and divding fractions, multiplying pie, finding radius and all that jazz..and I couldnt understand a WORD of it! I hadnt even thought of math all summer so I had totally forgotten everything! I even forgot how to add fractions. :/

I've never had a break on learning math, and yet I've forgotten how to do simple things like that too!It's really depressing and it makes me feel stupid.But everything else (Sciences, History, etc.) I remember everything.

It's unfortunate how uneven it is..

I havnt been in public school in 4 years now x.o So, I dont.. have that problem -entirely- Though, I always forget math. I hate math x:.. But well.. Im still waitingfor my school work to arrive for this year =___=

It's really bad, especially for math and science. That stuff seems to build up on the stuff you've learned from previous years. It's such a pain to re-learn the stuff you've already learned...

Multiply the whole number by the denominator (the bottom one) then add that to the numerator (top one) and then put it over the denominator.

4 3/5 is 4x5=20 20+3=23 23/5

I deffinately can't tell you how to do that. I sucked at math throughout highschool, and the only math I use now is actually practicle... like pay roll and what not.

Good luck with the fractions though, they sucked for me.

I forget Science easily. Like the structures of Cells and such. And the names. I forget everything. I'm only good at like Math. Wait actually, not even.
And no I don't know sorry. I'm not taking Math this sem. ^^;

There was this one time at work when I was supposed to do the nighly money things and I completely forgot how to do it. I felt so...stupid. >>;; xD;;<33 So I had to resort to breaking out the little book that my mother left me and I finally remembered.

But then a moment later, I zoned out and I forgot that I did the beginning already and re-did it causing all the calculations to be mixed up. >>;; xD;;<3 Ahh~<3

I'm in Geometry right now. xD;; And I don't -know- the postulates and stuff at all. >>;; And I'm supposed to be one of the "smart people" in that class! D:!~ xD;;<3 Ahh~<3

But yeah. I have the same problem in my math classes. I tend to forget how to do easy things like quadratics and stuff after not using it for long. xD;; <3 I hate asking for help too. >>;; 'Cause then I feel stupid for not remembering. ; O; <3

• Guh, I forget basic chemistry and biology sometimes. It's hilarious, because I can go into detail on more "complicated" things like how you hear or see...But ask me about something from Chemistry 301, and I draw blanks. The basics is what helped me learn the other stuff...but wow. Just makes me sad when I have to review my freshmen textbooks.

I totally forgot how mix the chemicals in Photography back in year 9, so instead of admitting that I just popped mine into my friends lots, I said it was to 'save chemicals', but sometimes it'd be a whole 'nother week (the next lesson) till her film was used xD
