@ Allucard: I think you fail to realize that America won't start a war just for the hell of it XD The current war is certainly a travesty, no doubt about that, but I don't think we went into it just because we had some blood lust issues ^^;;

America is one of the greatest places to live, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's flaws.

I think that's a very optimistic view of the situation.
EDIT: As far as the government goes.

In the case of the American people? No, it wasn't bloodlust, it was disinformation. But still, there are plenty of people who "support the troops, but not the war" and in regards to those people who claim that, and want the troops to come home, okay. But the people who don't support the war, but do support the troops fighting the war? Codswallop. If you don't support what they're doing, you don't support them. Just because you don't want to betray them in some way, doesn't give them a get out of jail for free card.

On the whole, I'm not prepared to call U.S. citizens a bunch of murderers, but I think they are guilty of something comparable to what German citizens were guilty of during WWII. They may not have ordered it, they may not have supported it. Maybe there wasn't even much they could do to stop it, but they did allow it to go on, and they did rationalize it to themselves.

and @Unnie: I'm no longer convinced that the United States is so great. Honestly, I want out. If have a great nation, and take from it the great things about it, then you no longer have a great nation. And I believe that is what has happened, and is happening still to the United States.

Are you really serious about those arguments? o.O I don't hate America, in fact I have a boyfriend that is American and I'm not American. But I don't think you should be all sissy, sorry for the word but I had to, because some people on this world doesn't accept America.

Good that you like your country but calm down a little your horses. You have to admit that some stuff that happens around America is not to be proud of.

Even Portugal , yap I'm Portuguese xD, can't be proud of some stuff. It's slowly growing up but at the same time full of ignorance! o.O.

Listen.

People are constantly blaming everyone else.

Here's what I always say to them, nearly word for word:

"Go live in your bartering world with no lights, no electricity, and... oh... yeah... you're not even talking to me because the computer wouldn't be invented."

Yes, that's very humanitarian of you. Hate the fact that we are viewed as all those things, but then turn around and say such things yourself. :?

Also, I'd like to point out that the idea of freedom and democracy is not a purely American creation. The French had several revolutions looking for the same thing (albiet it took them more internal conflicts than we to achieve it). Obesity actually IS a problem in our country. I've traveled to other countries and I can tell ya that I've never seen so many slender/normal body types. When I came back here, I was actually shocked at what I saw. I experienced culture shock in the country I grew up in, not in any other country. Try watching the BBC sometime and see how they report the same action as one of our own news stations and see the difference in the reporting. Is it objective here, or just fear tv?

Come to were I live in Northern California. You'll see protests every day for the war. Something no German WWII citizen would of ever done.

How does supporting the people but not the war not possible? Why does it mean that the friends I have, love and care about who joined the military to get college means they or I support what bush is doing?

I will have to go back and look, but I believe Bush started the war without having the Congress vote on it. Why we agreed for Afghaistan, because we needed somewhere to go after 9/11. Iraq was done under false pretenses and lies, which lead to false support, and even then, much of the country did not.

Supporting and wanting innocent people out of a war they wanted nothing for is not supporting bloodshed. Many first world countries even require you have to join the military, upon the age 17 or 18. Does snot mean they want instant bloodshed, the same with many of the young americans in Iraq.

There is not much you can do to not allow it to go on. As you said before, not much we could of done to prevent it, how does it mean we allow it to go on? Like I said, come visit were I live, where every week we have a protest against the war.

I'm actually referring to the fact that many, many Americans are self hating.

What I'm saying is that obese people should put the fork down. Face!

Family Guy, sorry.

But what I'm saying is that America didn't cause these problems and that America isn't any worse for having obese people.
