I think they do that for foreplay or something, otherwise I don't see the purpose. I DO understand the ones that have the days of the week on them. My sister has those, it helps keep you organized.

I don't have a problem with writing on underwear unless it says something totally stupid... I generally don't buy underwear that say things on them, other than just the name of the store they're from. I'd never buy underwear for the saying on it, lol. I know my boyfriend doesn't really care if my underwear say "imsohotlol" so.. I guess maybe it's a personal preference to get the ones with captions?

Unless you're walking around in only your panties, then uh well the words on your butt is the last thing they'll look at. >.< I don't like it when underwear have words on them, but I do get some of them for my boyfriend. Just for a giggle. Like right now, I have Halloween undies on; they're adorable. <3 But I hate the kind that just say "Sexy" or "Angel" I mean really, do you need to be secure about what you are by having it written on your undies? I have ones that says "I Heart (symbol for heart) Sushi" and the heart is in shape of sushi. <3 It's so cute. Another one I saw at the store was "Meso Hott!" And it has a picture of meso soup. GAH! SO cute!! <3 But unless you're going to show it off then there really is no point in wearing it. |

The only underwear I have with writing on it says "strange" on the butt. Which lead to my boyfriend referring to me as "Strangebutt" for a while. ^^;
"Hottie" and "kiss me" and stuff like that written on I find kind of annoying. But hey, free speech and all. I find stuff like that on underwear much less offensive than writing on the butt area of sweatpants or bathing suits. The whole world doesn't need to see it! Quote:

Well that easy so there bf/gf can see what on there booty. Like the weekday and weekend panties. I seen it in the move when the guy said "I stole Thursday" and i was like 'huh how can u steel Thursday' then later on the girl was talking to the soda vending saying he did stole "Thursday" and open up her pantie box and her thursday pantie was missing. Oh the movie was in Korean with the singer Rain in it. It was call "I Am A Cyborg But Thats OK" Good movie and funny.

It annoys me when I want to but some underwear, but find some writing on the back that ruins it.
It's cute when the words add to whatever pictures are on the underwear, but when they just say things like, "cutie", or "purrrrfect" with a cat on them, that's just tacky and annoying. |
The only panties I have with writing on them are the ones that say "I tease" on the back..

Heh, being a guy, I buy whatever is on the 'Dude, look at the good deal!' rack. Some of them have freaking ads on them for random stuff, butt hey were CHEAP.

I hated that fad. Was even worse when i saw little girls pants with the sayings on the butt. Glad that fad is mostly gone. |
The words draw attention to them. You can just glance at them to see the color, but you have to pause to read what they say.

some underwear sayings are stupid.
but some make me laugh. so really it just depends. i however hate shirts that say things are way worse. someone's underwear might say princess but you don't know that. if their shirt says princess it's much more annoying. |
