Here are some principles I live by everyday that I've recently realized that I developed.

1.I don't promise anything.
I just do what I'm capable of.
That way I will always over-deliver.
2.I don't offer talents.
I just share what you have with those who express an interest in them.
It takes the pressure off of wanting other people to see me as valuable or important.
3.I don't expect much.
I enjoy what I already have. It’s plenty.
Keeping this fresh in mind will help me always realize how complete my life is already.
4.I don't feel the need to want things.
If I build up my reserves my needs will disappear.
My boundaries are extended and filled with space.
5.I don't start anything.
I just respond well to what comes to well.
It helps being open to new things.
6.I don't hype anything up.
Just let quality sell by itself.
Hidden benefit: Trustability.
7.I don't plan anything.
I just take the path of least resistance.
That way achievement is usually effortless.
8.I don't 'learn' anything.
I just let my body absorb it all on my behalf.
I tend to be more receptive to what you need to know in the moment.
9.I'm never going to 'become' anyone.
Just more of myself.
Thinking this way re-assures me my personality is as unique and real as it can be.
10.I don't go out of my way to change anything.
Just telling the truth and going about my ways will create changes by themselves.
Its easier to accept things that way.

Now that I'm done self-analyzing...xD

What principles do you live by?
What do you think your best personality traits are?
Do you believe in any of the same principles I do?

Lets here it Gd.

I don't steal.
I don't get into trouble.
I don't pick fights.
I don't act mean to hurt someone.
I try.
I do what I think is right.
I do what I think would benefit myself and others.
I do what I want to do because I chose to do so.
I do what's honorable.
I use the necessary truth.
I know what is right and wrong and I don't flirt with the boundary lines.
I don't do anything to betray my parents' and teachers' trust permanently.

As long as I can live with it - it's a decision I made and I take full responsibility for my choices.

I don't really have an understandable set of morals. I can be described as a very spontaneous person. I rarely think things through so there's no real need for me to have a list of principles I live by. Basically, my only rule is 'Live in the moment'. Even so, I always mean well. I never want to truly hurt anyone on purpose, even if I imagine it occasionally.

i think that peoples standards come from standards that are from pepole that are way before them. Usually, people get it from their parents hwho get it from theris. SO ultimately, we jut have one long train of standards of elder ancestors.

I don't act on a situation until I'm sure I have enough information.

Sometimes I'm still wrong, though. :)

Kill as efficiently and quickly as possible. But don't let them suffer, no matter what they've done.

"number four if they yell at you take it until they use bad language then consider it a threat and scream back.
number five "if they touch you (that is assault) beat the crap out of them and then call the cops and report them"
number six work hard to save money up
number seven dont waste money and always have a goal for the money you are saving
number eight make sure family is ok and send money if needed

It's hard to list everything that I go by at once.

*Do the best that I can--and if that's not the best, then keep working at it

*Do what I want to do--I'm not going to make myself miserable for someone else's benefit

*Believe in myself and my sense of what's right and what's wrong. My moral code will work for me

*Morality is not relative. (That kind of goes with the previous one.)

*I believe in me.

*I also believe in NiBu. Thus, I place a lot of faith in what he thinks and what I think.... If one of us has a contradicting opinion to the other, I should look at it closely, because we agree on almost everything. (It's worth reviewing his opinion, for I respect him. Wow, that was long-winded.)

*I am me. That's kind of the most important one. As long as I'm not struggling to emulate someone else, I'm fine.

I treat others how I want to be treated in return and thats generally pretty good. I don't preach to anyone and I don't stuff crap down other peoples throat. I listen when I am being spoken too, I believe that honesty is always the best policy though it doesn't always work that way. Communication is the key and knowing yourself and your limits helps with knowing others as well.

#7 is definately something i try/or would like to live by..i strongly believe that we should live day by day..unfortunately my brother is not like that..he always talks aobut what we're gonna do months and months in advance and when it comes to that day he's just going and on and on about the future..well he's moving into group home soon..i feel both sad and happy at the same time..i feel bad cause it seems like we just want him out of the house..but like we really do cause well he keeps bossing us around..and well maybe being in group home will have a positive influence on him thats what we're hoping anyway :)

1. Do not force your beliefs on others.
2. Do not do others harm unless it is in defense of yourself or your family/loved ones
3. Drink coffee
4. Always have a 10 second pause between brain and mouth, it stops a lot of arguments from starting
5. Always remain calm and think things through
6. Breathe
7. Do not break the law
8. If you aren't hurting others, than it should be fine to do (as long as it does not conflict with any other rules)
9. Do not break any promises
10. Try your hardest and avoid asking for help

Number 2 is a bit problematic cause if the person doing harm is a family member or loved one, what the heck am I supposed to do then? That's when rules 4 and 5 come in.

Number 10 is there because whenever I ask for help, its always thrown into my face or I'm scoffed at or belittled. I have a few I know I can ask but excluding those, there really isn't anyone to get help from.

3 should actually be #1, it is all encompassing and solves almost anything ^__^

Be friendly, be polite, try not to cause anybody any harm, stay out of trouble's way. That's pretty much it, I think. Those sort of things cover an awful lot.

  • I can sum up all my principles in a few of my favorite quotes that I take to heart. I actually mutter these when I am down/angry/sad...etc

"You only live life once; but if you live it right, once is enough. "
    ---- Adam Marshall

"You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today. "
    ---- Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865)

"Don’t tear a page out of my book; don’t let anybody ever tell you ‘you can’t’."
---- My Grandma before she passed away

"Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none."
    ---- William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616)

"Pray you now, forget and forgive. "
    ---- William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616)

"There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance."
    ---- Socrates (469 BC - 399 BC)

Those are just a few that stand out more than others. I have a book full of them that I’ve collected by hand since I was little. When I hear a quote I like or find connection to it. I jot it down.
