Okay, well, I've had two of my wisdom teeth removed, and I thought it would be okay if I just waited until my next school break to get the other two removed.
Very very bad choice.
My mouth is literally throbbing with pain no matter what I do.
The numbing stuff lasts about 15 minutes.
Advil lasts for a half-hour.
Rinsing with warm salt-water does jack squat.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I accidently OD on Advil?
Anywho, here's what's to discuss:
Have you ever had your wisdom teeth pulled?
Did they hurt?
What did you do to relieve the pain?

I'll either run out, or keel over of cancer before the pain subsides.

-rolls about laughing-
Yes, Strychnine is a word.
It's a deadly poison.
I just thought it was super awesome.
It kills by sending convulsions through your body, that start in the neck and head, then slowly spread down. You die from exaustion and asphyxiation.

Awww, I'm sorry you're hurting. :(

I've never had mine removed...I actually don't know why people do have them removed, probably because I've never had any issues with mine. They don't hurt or anything...they just kinda hang out back there and grind up food. :o I'm not sure what the fuss is about, and I don't really plan on having them yanked out anytime soon.

Sorry, no tips on there. I can never relieve pain. Does ice work? Maybe it will help numb the pain. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Have you ever had your wisdom teeth pulled?

Nope, not yet, I'm not sure if I'm going to, because I'm already missing teeth on my lower jaw, and my wisdom teeth is making up for those, which is pretty nice. But, the problem is, its bent inward, so maybe they have to straighten it out again... >,<

Did they hurt?

Um...like I said, I never had wisdom teeth pulled before. It must have been extremely painful though.

What did you do to relieve the pain?

When I had braces, I just dealt with it as much as I could. I really didn't do anything to relieve the pain. >.> But, I'm not sure of the pain from wisdom teeth though. :<

Like many people, mine hurt because there's not enough room in my mouth for them.
People don't need Wisdom teeth any more, they were used back before brushing your teeth was a big thing <<;
People's teeth would fall out, and Wisdom teeth would be there to replace them.
Yup.
I had braces and everything already, so my mouth was fine and dandy before they started growing in.
Now they're messing with the alignment of my bottom teeth.

I got all four out at once, before they began to come in. If they're causing you pain you should get them removed as soon as possible. Get the surgery done on a Friday so you only have to miss a few days of school. I was out for about five days, but got it done during the summer.

I got the first two out over the summer.
The surgeon said he didn't want to take out all four because I was already scared out of my wits about two.
My parental units are schedualing an appointment ASAP, but it probably won't be for a while.
Which sucks D:

They gave me ibu profen and vicadin when I got mine pulled. But also, rinsing every now and then with salt water, and keeping heat on it helps. (Well, heat is to prevent swelling, if it's already swollen, put cold on it).

Ibuprofen is just a rip-off brand of Advil.
I tried it and it works the same, if not less.
Salt water tastes icky and it doesn't work Dx
What works the most is chewing something.
I don't know why though.
So I shall continue to happily munch on my apple chips x.x

@Lightswitch:
Damn straight.
I got hit with two crappy things in my fourth grade year:
Braces && glasses.
Damn them ><

I always knew I had a big mouth, but damn... :D

Thanks for explaining...I could never figure out what the big deal was before. ^^ I didn't realize my body actually planned for cruddy hygiene...that's pretty funny, honestly. Even if they do hurt most people and screw up their teeth's alignment. :| That's not so funny.

Well I hope you feel better soon! ^^ *huggles*

Actually, your body was made for alot of cruddy things xDD
There's also another body part, I don't remember which one, that's used to digest raw meat.
I'm prettu sure we don't run around eating raw meat nowadays x.x
But thank you! <33

My brother had all four pulled out about a week or two ago.
He was in such pain. D:
He has a lame ass hat that you could tie it together at the end; something like this.
And he tied up two bags of icey water to his cheeks.
It was lame but I guess it worked.

I'd take Ibuprofen. (spelling?)
That stuff usually works a lot.
But if you don't have any then you should take at least 2-3 Advil until you feel better or at least able to sleep. D:

I haven't had mine pulled out yet...but hopefully I won't have to experience that for the next few years. ><

@ Strychnine ~ Sorry, I've never had mine pulled.
I guess it just depends on the person / how deep
they were. My sister and roommate's friend got all
their's pulled and they were all right.

@clockwork`

Fortunately, I've never had to pluck eyebrows.

Mine have always been the same length.

xD
