I am currently working on getting the training classes/such I need to be a daycare worker here in Florida.

I was wondering if anyone had stories about when they were in daycare, visited one, siblings, have your kids in them, or work in one.

My mom has shared a few interesting stories with me from when I was in daycare.
Like daycare workers taking my jackets and giving them to other children... XDD; But we remember the good times too! <3

I don't think I could work with little kids, I'd get sick and tired of zipping up stuff and tying shoes and blowing noses.

Kids are disgusting.

My mom used to babysit kids, and they try stripping in the car, jumping out of our tree, and this one girl, she was only 6 at the time, started singing in Walmart in the checkout line and she sang something like, " This line is so long, so long, so sexy long. Let's get sexed up..." and so on. I was mortified! ( whoa, big word. ) Luckily, no on heard her. I think.

My mom put me in daycare when I was younger. I hated it. The daycare lady was mean.. I was about 11 and I played with a 6 year old, so the parents thought their was something wrong with me. Hello!! Most the kids there were under 8!!! I wasn't going to play with her daughter, because she was a spoiled brat. The parents also complained because they didn't think I was taking a shower, because my hair was darker.. This is because instead of being a bright natural blonde, my hair started becoming more of a dark blonde. I hated it there. Eventually when I got old enough I didn't have to go.

Overall, I think you shouldn't run one out of your home. If you do, be nice to all the kids, no favorites. Don't be mean or anything.. Plus try to actually pay attention to the kids instead of sitting in the living room and watching tv while they did whatever like she did. Boy were those bad memories..

Daycare is hell.

Oh man, do I have stories or what? XD I used to spend everyday after school in daycare when I was in fith and sixth grade. It is kinda hard to remmeber exacaly what we did there, (Was kinda a while ago), but I do remember that we used to watch the same two movies over and over and over again; everyday! D= That was extremely annoying!

If you plan on making them watch movies, from time to time, try not to play the same ones over and over again. D= It drove me crazy! >.<

I don't work in a daycare, but I sure feel like I do...

My boss has five kids...ages 3-13, the youngest four boys, and two of them twins...and for some reason he feels the need to bring them into our office.

Drives. Me. Nuts. I am not a babysitter; I'm a designer...I don't have time to make sure the kids aren't slaying each other.

And our office suite is in a bank building, so the bank has called up complaining about the kids running around...my boyfriend works in the suite next to mine and he's had a few complaints (which I get to listen to) as well. He keeps all sorts of things in the bathroom...toothpaste, razor blades, mouthwash, etc (he's a little OCD about these things...), and the damn kids got into them once...dumped out half his mouth wash, squeezed his toothpaste up to the top of the tube so it exploded when he opened it...

They're such a pain in the ass. And it's not their fault; it's just their stupid father...I don't know who the hell brings five kids into work and then lets them run wild.

hehe we had some crazy daycare...we had one that would make us pray before EVERY thing...and my family isn't religious so i really didnt understand at the time...so when we didnt do it she would pull our hair!! :o she was crazy.

I don't think I'll ever work in a day care.I really can't stand little kids.Well I can,but when they get annoying, I can can't deal with them anymore.

I liked daycare in kindergarden.
After that, I went to the YMCA.
I hated it.
Stupid rules.
They get paid so much to be an ass to you.
I say it is bull.

Oh my.

My neighbor (she lived on the other corner of our block, we live on one corner) used to run a "daycare" that my mom would drop me off at every morning at like 6am so she could go to work while my brothers went to school. It's where I met my very first friend (and we still know each other). She used to beat me up when we were little o_O

That place was where I watched Power Rangers and The Wizard of Oz EVERY DAY.

I went there until just before kindergarten when they moved far away (like 3 hours). D:

THAT IS SO TRUE!!!

I got locked in there once while my dad worked out and it was AWFUL! All they had were shitty toys, and I couldn't even be mean to the kids who were annoying. They would NOT let me leave. My dad pretty much tricked me into going in there, too. He was like "Hey Janna do you want to play in there?" and I was like "Hellz yeah! I love toys!" I got in there, and after like 2 minutes I was all "Ugh, these toys SUCK! I gotta go find my dad he's probably waiting for me" and the lady was like "No you can't leave you have to stay in here." and I was all "No just let me find my daddy, I know my way around here I'm old enough!" and she was like "NO YOU HAVE TO STAY IN HERE NOW GO PLAY! D:<" I was so mad.
