I think it would be cool to have a masoleum, or an interesting headstone. I'd actually like a traditional whole-body burial rather than cremation. What I'd really hate would be getting buried in a cemetery with just little plaques rather than headstones... It just isn't very personal to me. Not that it all really matters, since I'll be dead, but still.

when i die, i want to be burned. i don't like the idea of rotting in the ground with worms and icky stuff like that. and it would be really really cold. but i guess that doesn't matter if you are dead.

Have you thought about how you want your remains handled?
-Cremation. I don't want my corpse to be buried underground with maggots while I slowly deteriorate. What about those you leave behind? Do they have a right to determine what happens to your remains? -My Family already knows what I want done with my body. What they do with the ashes is up to them. As for a death wish... -I want to die skating. I don't want to die from an overdose. I don't want to die in my sleep. I don't want to die from some kind of disease. When I die, I want to go out with a bang. A death people will remember. ;D Like splitting my skull open being the first to attempt to clear 35 stairs (Official record is about 22), or flying up a 20 foot ramp and fall back down directly on my board while its at a vertical angle, face first. xDDD Imagine the mess the staff woulf have to clean up. |

I don't really care what they do with my body- donate it to medical science, if you wish, I really don't mind.
However, I demand that no-one wears black at my funeral, no organ music and no religious crap. Just everyone have a party, get pissed, and laugh about the good times. |

As I am, I would try to do what is cheapest, which is probably cremation. I really do not want to be a burden on my family, which has enough trouble with my parents having to take care of all my sisters (and I have a good deal of sisters).
If money was no object, then I would like to be cremated, and then have my ashes undergo a process (and you really can do this, I hear) to turn it from ashes, to a diamond. By the sound of it, they put the ashes under extreme pressure and heat to turn them into a diamond, probably a small one. It probably costs an insane amount of cash though, so I would only do it if I won the lottery or something. |
Those people who spend tons of thousands of dollars to deep freeze themselves when they die so that maybe in the future, the technology will be good enough to bring them back to life . I think it`s stupid . A waste of money and electricity and whatever they need to freeze them . They should just donate the money to charity to actually SAVE some lives . Dx |

I am an organ donor, but I'm not quite sure what I want done with the rest of me, though. I haven't really considered it.

I want to be cremated. Possibly dumped into the ocean after that, but considering I don't have any close relatives that are younger than me and I don't plan on having kids or anything, there probably won't be anyone around to do that. ;.; Kind of depressing really.
I think that the living family has the right to decide what to do with you if you haven't already. Some people don't tell others what they want done with their body, so everyone just has to kinda make up their mind on their own. However, if someone wants a certain thing done to their body, I don't think any living family member has the right to do something else. |
I want my body to be either cremated or in a coffin. But I want my internal organs to DEFINITELY be cremated and put into little vials for people to have and wear to remember me etc... (: |
Heh, I am an organ donor, so I want them to go to someone who needs them. The rest of my body, dispose of however is easiest, hell, I'm not going to care. Maybe put it in a garbage bag with some cement blocks and toss it into some convenient body of water.

I'd like to donate my body parts but keep the leftovers to be cremated and kept on the fireplace next to my mom's ashes. I'd like to be remembered for the things and people I loved. Along with my terribly disgusting sense of humor. I'd like my memorial/funeral to be just a giant party. no one crying, just people celebrating the fact that I'm finally free. c: |
After watching an Eddie Izzard DVD I really liked his idea of Death being entertainment. Build a giant catapault, place dead body in the middle of it, douse in gasoline, set fire and twang into a tree.
Human firework :D Although I think that will probably be illegal ._. So I'll have to go with being cremated. If anyone tries to bury me, I'm coming back to haunt them. Then funeral. I don't want one of those horrible funerals where everyone's in black suits and all being miserable. I want a party. Nobody wearing black (unless they look particularly fine in black) and nobody being miserable. I strongly believe in celebrating the life, rather than mourning the death, so if people can't make an effort to be happy and cheerful, they're not invited. Organ donation bothers me. A big part of me would like to go as I came. All parts intact. It is kind of selfish though, as there are so many people who could benefit from organ donations, but still... my organs... Mine! :( |
I'm not being burnt or burried(sp?) until I'm good and rotten, I don't want to be burried alive if there's even a slight chance I might still be alive then they have to wait til I'm rotting.

I've talked about this with my boyfriend and my family - I want all usable organs harvested from my body and whatever is left of me to be cremated.
I figure a good place for my ashes is a garden - mix me in the dirt and grow some flowers in me - I came from the earth and I should return to the earth and I think that cremation is the only way I'll be able to do that since we like to seal bodies in airtight caskets so they turn to goo instead of decompose like we should. |

I don't want to be one of those dead people taking up space in the ground, so I prefer to be turned into ashes. I don't have anything of value right now, but if I had kids, I would want to give my money, house, cars, etc. to them. If I don't have any kids, or I feel my kids don't need what I'm leaving behind, I'll probably donate my stuff so people who do need it will have them.
