I'm scarred for life somehow. >.<

Some men are obsessed with large women, They are attracted to only the large girls.
They are the guys who treat their woman as if she was a queen =)
I wanna be treated like a queen!! xD
And I will be soon, hehe.
Boyfriend just got a job.. finally! Dx

And whoever thought the deviantart pic was a joke...there are entire websites dedicated to this sort of thing.

Oh, all right! I wasn't entirely sure (I don't see much of that stuff, since I'm not really all that active on art websites and stuff), so thank you for the correction. :3

To say the least, I was disgusted D:
Read some of the comments too.
Here's what I don't get:
What is with the guy's obsession with obese women?
I'm not bashing on anyone who is heavier, I'm a tad bit on the voluptious side myself, but still.
I wanted to gag myself with a spork D:
Someone please explain this to me xD
Thanks <3

  • it's not because of the obese women they like i think..maybe they just like to do the ballooned art? i think that's what they're calling in in deviantart...

basically they do no real body proportion and just exagerate the body parts in insanely big scales than their real size.....

i've seen many arts like that in deviantart, they even reach the popular front page too...

and not only female, although they are mostly drawing of female, but there are male, children...and even furry too ...that they draw in that exagerating way.....

don't ask me why they think it's fun...

maybe they just want to mock people who often gets defensive and offensive at the same time when people start to worship or like other people in bigger size,

or maybe they just want to draw something different and get caught up into it too much they just cam't stop drawing in that style...

Sagitar 11-05-2007 11:24 AM

I have no idea what they see in them... >.<
I can't help but think about how unhealthy their life is D: ewww.

`F o a m 11-05-2007 11:31 AM

  • Because they like what they like? xD
People have different turn-ons whether you find it gross or not. Have an open mind. ;P

Strychnine Kisses 11-05-2007 12:14 PM

I do have an open mind.
I just like having things explained to me.
Rationalized, in a way.
I like to know how people think and why they think that way.
It's just who I am.
(I like your av, by the way xD)

secretdae007 11-05-2007 12:51 PM

O.o; The artist does explain why he draws what he does... Not really my kind of art anyway. Though part of me is curious if this artist can draw proportionately...

J h a y b z_0 2 11-05-2007 01:13 PM

having obsession with obesse women is kinda odd for me...but i respect him whoever he is...and that's unique because most guys dont fall for them usually...

Phantasmagoria 11-05-2007 03:24 PM

it is weird to me and you, but that is just what those guys like. Im glad people are attracted to very overweight women like that, since I am sure they have little self esteem already.
if I knew someone like that, I would be sure they saw that ^^
also, Im glad that you have an open mind, and are willing to find out how other people think.

Majinkoz 11-05-2007 03:34 PM

That's an interesting question...but I honestly don't know. D:

Some guys just like to have a little bit of curve on their woman...my boyfriend is actually afraid that he's going to break me. But I guess I can understand where they are coming from...I mean if you're a little bit bigger you'll have a little bit more fat, and in turn may have a bigger booty and a larger boos. O.o

But I personally think that everyone should be happy with what they look like. ~<3

Syrie 11-05-2007 05:54 PM

Oh goodness, well...I would imagine the idea originated hundreds of years ago when only the very wealthy could afford to glut themselves on food; for a good long while (until Twiggy and her ilk came along and ruined our perceptions of beauty in women, and eventually men) being overweight was a sign of wealth and a higher social status. :3 If you take a look at Renaissance paintings and sketches, the wealthy people are all rather "plump".

Anymore though, I think it's really all about what turns a person on...society now has strictures in place that render anyone that is overweight to be of a lesser quality than others. We revere the svelt, the unisex, the underdeveloped and anorexic. And then you get people like this guy and those commenting on his work.

While it's been said, I think I must reiterate: the inflation fetish (whereupon a person is "inflated" to a size that is abnormal for them via air or fluid) and the fetish for inordinately obese women/men are two entirely different things.

There are entire websites and erotica movies etc devoted to both topics. As a matter of fact, I recently watched a horror film involving a serial killer that lured big girls to him and then "fed" them until they died. He took bets on a website as to how long they would survive. It was quite disturbing.

I'm not saying that being morbidly obese is a good thing - it's not, the strain on your body at that size is very nearly fatal (hence the term "morbidly obese") - but if that gentleman wants to draw that, it's his deal. I'm almost certain that he gets a lot of commissions and makes money doing so. *shakes head*

I don't understand it, don't really intend to...but I certainly don't find that the artist disgusts me. I do feel a bit sad that he finds being that heavy "okay" when it's so obviously bad for one's health D:.

Huh. I would've never expected someone to do a film on that sort of thing. What's the title?

Syrie 11-06-2007 02:55 AM

The movie was called "Feed" and the official website is here. I believe we rented it from Blockbuster movies.

Demosthenes 11-06-2007 03:16 AM

That picture is pretty disgusting. o.o;

clock 11-06-2007 04:32 AM

Haha. :'D Well, I guess it's unique, if nothing else.
Some people like to draw humans unnaturally thin.
Some like to draw humans disproportioned, with big
heads, long legs, or huge eyes.

I guess it just depends on the artists' tastes.

zipperglow 11-06-2007 04:45 AM

@clockwork- you mean anime?

I am personally disgusted by the picture, but I like the way the artist pushes the boundaries of accepted art. I applaud his creativeness, if nothing else. . .

Some art isn't for everyone. . .

clock 11-06-2007 04:49 AM

I didn't specifically mean anime, but yeah, you
could consider that anime. xD

That's the great thing about art. :] Some people will
be disgusted and others will adore it.

AV TB 11-06-2007 05:03 AM

*shivers in seat* um, what is that about? I mean Have people no decency? No dignity? THats horrible, I sure hope someone on deviant does something about it soon if at all possible.

Umm... why? I see no rule on deviant art
that says you can't draw obese people. o__o;

Caroline 11-06-2007 05:19 AM

  • Yep, there are people with fat fetishes... some even aspire to become morbidly obese themselves. There is a whole feeder/feedee culture where men feed women fattening foods and both parties enjoy seeing the woman gain weight.

I personally find nothing attractive about obesity, but whatever, there are all sorts of weird fetishes.

Carmen 11-06-2007 05:35 AM

I'm counted as a little more than normal figuire.. I think..

But I'm not that fat..

I don't get why people like being fat.. I mean they might not be able to help it, but dont they excerise? xD

There's nothing about it that makes it worse then depictions of other sexual kinks. You ARE aware dA has an entire category for fetish portraits, right? There's no reason why they'd take a picture like that down.

Chexala 11-06-2007 06:36 AM

I'm sure it's been said already, but I feel the need to reiterate the point: it's a kink, that's all.

Certainly, those involved know that it's not healthy for the obese person, but obviously they don't mind. I mean, people know that smoking is bad for them too, but they do it anyway. It's just one of those things.

It's not my jive at all, but it's their life, not mine, and I have my own share of weird things that I like too, so I'm not one to complain. So long as the people involved are all willing, consenting, pleased, and all that, I don't care what they do.

:D

Syrie 11-06-2007 06:36 AM

@ Carmen - actually, some people can't exercise. If their bodies can't take the strain of "standard" exercises and they can't afford membership to a place that has a pool - they're pretty much screwed.

Also, there are people with thyroid diseases who's bodies cannot regulate their weight no matter how few calories they intake nor how much exercise they do. I would know, I'm one of those people. I eat 1,500 calories daily (just FYI - starvation level is 1,300 and the standard person eats around 2,000 calories daily) - I'm exhausted because my body doesn't get enough energy (calories = energy, basically) but I still exercise and work. I am still gaining weight despite all of this.

However, that's not really what we're talking about here - we are most definitely talking fetish. Feeder/Gainer fetish. And AV TB? There is nothing against the dArt TOS that says people can't draw morbidly obese women/men.

And who says they have no dignity? Do you think fat people have no dignity? Orwhat about other's into different fetishes? Do you think that people into bondage have no dignity? Basically, if you [as a person] are happy with how you look and how you are...then you have your dignity. So these people - the ones participating/enjoying aforementioned fetishes - they have dignity.

It's just a different sort that what you're familiar with.
