Ugh...
this is really bugging me. How long can anybody think up something funny or witty to "discuss"? I mean, HELLO, I want a forum where you don't need to think of smart stuff. Just someplace to be all "DUDE GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO MY GOLDFISH LAST NIGHT" or some crap like that and not expect for people to be all "That isn't a discussion". Seriously. :| DISCUSS. |
Mene isn't for spam. Doesn't mean you can't have fun, you just have to put a little more effort into it.

Something like how the GD or even the CB used to be on Gaia? They weren't "serious" discussions, but you still had people conversing. It wasn't so structured and serious as Mene is.
Like a thread could start off as just spam, but then you'd get a group of regulars and they would discuss big things and get into it... but here that can't happen, because if a thread starts with spam then it's deleted or whatever. I'm rambling, sorry. I understand what you mean, and agree with you though. It's very hard for me to gain gold here on Mene. |
I think that sort of thing is what Menewsha Nation is for. Or if it isn't, it probably should be.
At any rate, I'd rather this place didn't turn into The Notorious Spam Section of That Other Forum With Avatars. Because the aforementioned NSS is ghastly. Anyway, topics like that are boring and go nowhere. If I wanted to write about whatever nonsense had happened to me, I'd keep a diary. |
Talking about what happend to your goldfish could be very intelligent! It could have died, and you could rant about the horrible sadness of losing your best friend. But it would be pretty sad if your best friend was a goldfish, because goldfish are pretty stupid and such D:

Sometimes I used to wish that anything could be posted in GD here. Then I looked at Gaias GD (after a few months away) and no longer wished that anymore.
It's nice to have one site where there are proper discussions, few (or no) flamers and mods that enforce rules properly. |

While I do see what you mean, I think that is one of the things I really enjoy about mene:: its structure. It's so annoying to see spam, but while looking at your point of view, its nice to have fun topics that everyone can contribute to without a "discussion"

What I think you're looking for is more appropriate for the Community Discussion, where I almost never go for some reason. O.o? Yea, my lil sister agrees. She watched me post on Menewsha a couple times and said it was waaay too serious in the discussions and she rather go to Gaia. To each their own. *shrugs* |
