music seems to be the whole LIFE for some people..
to me, it's just something to cheer me up when I'm bored, or something to dance for when I go to a bar.. :3

I don't think music is that important to me, just pretty sounds :3 I love to sing when I'm alone though xD

Haha. Lots of people sing when they're alone. I hate when I do so and then someone walks in on me. I feel so awkward.

yea thats happened to me i was singing and my sisters boyfriend walked in the room.. i ran out of the room blushing because i sounded really bad because i was making fun of the song more than singing. lol <true story>

Hahahaha! Yeah, I make fun of songs more than I actually sing them. Thats why my sisters said I couldnt sing for so many years because I never seriously sang a song. Boy did I prove them wrong when last year came aroubd. xD

yea i did that too i never sang for real unless it was really quietly or all alone and then 2 years ago my friend told me to sing that song listen to your heart and i did for real. she said i was pretty good so i started to sing for real alot after that then my sisters boyfriend heard me and i went back to being quiet. but now i don't care what others think anymore, so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Aww, did you really get that embarrased? Well I think its cool that you dont care what they think anymore. Sometimes I still get shy when I sing on stage.

yea i don't care but i still get stage fright only because i hate when people stare at me. unless i'm in a group, but alone i get bright red.

Same here. I sing in a group of about 35 people and I'll be fine on stage or in front of an audience. I might get a little blushed but thats it. By myself on the other hand, oh boy. I start getting really shaky and sweaty. I hate it. I'm still trying to figure out how to get over my stage fright.

I love listening to music and I find myself to be a bit of an audiophile (balance and sound leveling bug me SO much when they're 'off'), but I cant say that music is my passion.
It would be nice to create some music, yes, but for some reason i think i'd become frustrated with it and then end up hating music as a whole. xD

Cool. I know what you mean. Its weird. I'm so outspoken and stuff and I usually dont care what others think but then being on stage I just feel so put on the spot, you know? I mean, they're all staring and me and whatever I do I'm aware that they can all see me and theres no hiding frmo it.

yea when your in a crowd some people stare at you but when your on stage everyones staring at you and all straight faced and stuff not even smiley! anyway im going to pm so we can stop hogging this forum!! lol

Im not picky with the sounds themselves, but how they're arranged and how loud they are in comparison to other sounds used in the song. :3

Holy jeez, your passion for music is really similar to mine. Like, really REALLY similar.

In 6th grade, I started playing the flute. I've been playing it for 5 years now (I'm a junior in high school), and I've also taught myself how to play piano. Well...kinda xD
At the end of 6th grade I picked up the alto saxophone, and then that summer at band camp I played flute in the advanced band and sax in the jazz ensemble.
Halfway through my 7th grade year, I picked up the clarinet. ((Yes, I'm a woodwind fanatic.)) I didn't really play it much until 8th grade when I made it into a clarinet choir.
Ever since 7th grade, I've always been in All-County (which is like All State, but by county instead) and I've always been the top 5 chairs (on flute).
Then freshman year, I started learning the piano a bit. I had learned my first song with both hands towards the end of my 8th grade year, but freshman year I really studied it. I didn't make it too far, but it was fun and thats whats important. I went into concert band that year (the lowest band group), and then second semester I got bumped up to Wind Ensemble (the 'senior' band basically).
Last year as a sophomore I took up music theory. Its like my drug<3 (The AP test was horrible though, I barely passed it D:) But I did learn how to sing and clap two rhythms at the same time last year, so it was really beneficial.
This year, I'm in Advanced Choir and I'm still in Wind Ensemble. This is also my third year participating in the fall musical--all three years I've been playing 4 instruments in the pit orchestra. I'm really looking forward to next year because before opening night all the seniors get to say how many years they've been in the productions, and very few say all four. And out of all the seniors I've heard, they've all been on stage acting. As long as I make it into the pit orchestra next year, I'll have achieved something that I don't think anyone has done before--four full years as a pit orchestra member.
Anyways, I could ramble on some more about it, but I think you guys get the idea xD:

I'm not the best in the world but it's fun. XD

I've been playing the piano for about 8-9 years now. And I love playing the piano. I just hate my teacher. HATE HER. So basically I was 6 years old and my brother just quit playing violin and wanted to play the piano. So my mom started sending him to piano lessons, and I wanted to learn too, so my mom sent me to piano lessons. After a while I got a new teacher (since my first teacher actually didn't really teach us anything!). The new teacher was this old smoking bitch that liked to complain a lot. :) I started hating to play the piano because she kept giving me these stupid drills that I played over and over again. So after about 4 years of playing piano with the new teacher, she quit teaching me, lol. She sent us a letter saying that I was a bad student and I never practiced my pieces. ^_^ So my mom was liek : "O so you think you quit playuing the piano, huh? Well no I found a new teacher" OH NOES! Anyways, so now I have this STRICT SON OF A BITCH teacher that makes me practice for an hour and a half. So I don't really haev a passion for piano anymore. I just play and play and play. Like a zombie.

I really wish I could play an instrument...but sadly, I cannot. One of my hands just doesn't work right. :( I tried for a good 9 years to teach myself to play the piano...but I just never could get my right hand to do ANYTHING the way I wanted it to.

So...I try to be the best vocalist I can be. I have an ear for voices, as well as other aspects of music...but mainly voices. If a voice doesn't fit the style of a song...it drives me crazy. I try to learn to sing just about any style of music my voice can do right...and it's fun.

I still do wish I had managed to learn to play the piano, though...XD

i just love listening to music but i dont play anything

i have a guitar and i also play keyboard and piano when i have the chance because i am slightly self taught if that makes any sense

but yeah apart from listening to music it does nothing for me as far as playing an insruments goes

i must admit without music in my life would not be the same in fact i would suck
no more youtube videos
no more radio

oh man its just unimaginable without music!!!!
