Title says all~ ;3

Would you?
Why?
Why not?

Me : Both. I would, 'cause I know him better than other strangers. I wouldn't 'cause if we split up, we'd be weird around each other, and may end up not being good friends anymore.

The times I dated guys I didn't already have a friendly relationship with, they didn't last long as relationships.

So - yes, I'd date a friend.

I'd prefer it.

You're not always going to be madly happy and attracted to your partner. But if you have a good friendship, your relationship can weather the minor ups and downs in life a lot easier.

Unfortunately, it also hurts a lot more if you break up, unless you just simply found yourselves too much 'friends' to be romantic partners and parted company on completely wonderful, mutually understood terms.

I would have to say no, only because my true friends are my brothers and sisters, so dating one of my guy friends would be really uncomfortable. >.< Now if it's a new acquaintance that I've started to have a crush on, then yes, and then we could start up a kind of friendship that is different than my normal ones. ^_^

It depend on how I saw the friend, I mean, if I had a crush on him and he felt the same way, course I'd date him. Otherwise, maybe not.

I've been told I'm the kind of girl to marry her best friend, so yes, I would date a friend, but not unless I knew it would last, and that we would be okay if it didn't...

It would have to be a really good friend tho...

Yeah I would date a friend, if I knew for sure he or she liked me back and I knew for sure that I liked that person. It depends if the chemistry is there and the attraction, friendship is a great way to base a relationship if its meant to be otherwise just leave it as friends.

I would date a friend. Not everyone falls in love at first sight or meeting. :o Sometimes you don't like some in the romantic sense until you really get to know them better and spend more time with them. Plus people are known to have super long crushes on friends. XD

I have done, and probably would again, if the situation arose.

It didn't work out well any of the times, but it was fun while it lasted.

Things were a little awkward between us afterwords for a while, but we dealt with it.

Would I date a friend? No frickin' way. Why? because this one time, there was this kid whose copany I enjoyed so much that I'd visit him during every break. However, when my nosy classmates (as well as his) thought that we could have a crush on each other, they did the most embarrassing thing possible to us.They caught me and dragged me towards his classroom. Then they surrounded us, and began to chant so that one of us would ask the other out. We were scarred for life after this scary experience, and from that day on, he never spoke to me again :(

Well, I'd have to know we were ready to date and everything, and talk about it first. But I think it would be much better than dating random people.

I dated a friend once. It didn't really turn out so well though. It only lasted a couple months and those months were... well... not much of anything. We finally broke up because we concluded that we had regressed back into the "friend" phase. I still really like the person. But I wouldn't want to date them again at this point because I know the same thing would happen again.

I think it's a good idea to be friends first before you start dating, but if you've been friends for ages, it isn't necessarely the best idea to start a relation ship.. :3

I would date a friend, I think it is a good thing since you know him and you guys know eachother, not everyone falls in love at first sight and some relationships are better if you take the time to get to know eachother, problem is, you need to be mature enough not to separate if you split up yeah what i mean is, if you ever break up, then after a while phone eachother, go out together , talk it out! do not hide and be embarased, that is something you should talk since the begining, like..well here is the deal, we will go out but then if this happens we promise to keep our friendship, we will give it a go but there is the posibility of this not to work out and so we need to stick together and talk it out as friends,
I hope that was helpfull =) good luck!

It depends on the person. If I'm attracted to them, and I'm good friends with them, and know them well enough to be comfortable...Then sure.

I would.

That's actually who I am dating right now, a very best friend. He and I have split up before though, and it was very uncomfortable when we did (Mainly because we both knew we were idiots for breaking up in the first place...) But I have never found anyone better than the person who's my best friend in the world.

  • If we are both attracted to each other, yes, I would date a friend. I was... madly in love with my gay best friend for about three years, haha. Now it's more like an unconditional love; we've been through so much. If he asked me out for whatever odd reason though, I wouldn't say no. :x

I guess, that both. If the guy wasn't my close friend, than I might have dated him, becuse i would know about him at least something.
But If it would be ne of my closest friends, thank no. I'd feel awkward, because he knows about me too much plus we would split up too soon and end up not being friends anymore.

I have been for a year and a half. XD My guy and I were best friends for nearly a year, and then we were like "Y'know what? I like you."
In my opinion, dating a friend does have it's risks, yes, but it's better than dating some random cute guy that you know nothing about.
Sure, if something goes bad, you two may be awkward. But if nothing goes wrong, then you've got a great boyfriend/girlfriend. There isn't that weird "I'm making out with you, but I don't know if you have any siblings" or something like that.

I wouldn't even seriously want to date someone who I didn't at least know somewhat well. I'd want to get to know them better first.

I would date a friend, and have three times (three different friends...). It's worked out well after the break up so far. It's still a little awkward with one of my friends, but she's dating another friend I dated so we laugh about that. xD

Well currently no...since I already am dating someone. Other than that I don't really have any friends that I want to date.

I've dated a friend before though. I would probably do it again if I wasn't dating anyone and found a friend I wanted to date. It ruined our friendship, but I don't think that it has to normally.
