ok, another subject just for fun and enjoyment, or simply for those out there who are trying to avoid boredom:

If you could travel through time simply to observe events that occurred and your actions had no effect on the time period you traveled to or historical events in general, where would you go? What time period would you travel to? Would you decide to travel to sometime in the past, sometime in the future, or do you feel comfortable with the present time period and would prefer to stay right where you are?

If I could travel to any time period, I have a suspicion I would travel to ancient Greece because of my obsession with mythology.

Also, note i stated that this hypothetical time travel is based on the concept that you're only observing the events, meaning you can't simply state you would go back in time simply to change or prevent tragic historical events from occurring or change your own history in a positive way. You're simply traveling through time essentially to be a spectator to historical events, and this concept applies to both potential knowledge received from past and future events. So once again to put it simply, if you had the power to travel through time, what time period would you like to view? Post away.

• There are a LOT of time periods I would want to observe.
  World War II! I've read about and watched so many documentaries on that time period.
  Then I think I would go see the dinosaurs, haha. No time travelling adventure can be complete without dinosaurs.
  And thennnn I would time travel all over the place to see my favourite bands/artists in concert. XD

I'd travel back to the beginning of time. I'll go down in history for discovering the answer to the question that's baffled scientists for centuries.

If I could go back in time!? I be able to accomplish my biggest dream! Become the most famous Historian ever! I'd meet all the great kings of England! I'd stay with Bloody MAry Tudor and watch her live her life! See what really killed Catherine of Argon! There are endless possiblities to going back in time! I would love it!

i want to...uhhh...well i would really love to go back to when my daddy was my age..and then when my grandpa was my age..haha it was be so awsome if they saw me were like omg who is that girl :oops: then i would tell them dont know if theyd believe me but oh well..and i also i wanna go back to when i was a baby (in my baby body) and see the guy i like..see if i can become friends at an early stage in life..and theres others id like to do that with as well..call me matchmaker :wink:

There alot of this I would love to see, I want to know what happen, mostly everything, But to start i would like to my past, my parent says that I was very ignorant, hyperactive, and stuff like that, but i dont remmember any of those thing, im quite the opposite of what i was before, excluding that before i was a bit chubby and now well, not, lol, But before i keep changing the theme, i also would like to see... well alot of thing, lol, if I start writing, ill have to make about 3 pages, lol, Ill just leave it like that :)

hmmm that sounds intresting oh yeah gives me an idea! i could give my mom a make over so that a famous althete falls in love and marries her..and so that my dads family still meets my moms family ill get my dads brother to marry one of my moms sister hehe now i wanna write a fanfiction about this (cause im not so sure i could really do this..yet anyway..)then if its invented ill have a whole book of ideas!

I want to go back and see how the Egyptians built the Pyamids and things like that.

I also want to go back and find out what happened to the Roanoke colony (with Crotoan carved into the tree)

To near Osama Bin Laden's camp just before September 2001 and getting it nuked before the attack happened. Then then the subsequent wars wouldn't have happened, and the extremists would have been struck a heavy blow.

There are so many time periods I would love to go back to. The beginning of time, ancient Egypt, Renaissance, Medieval, ancient Greece, ancient Rome. I might even see what I was like as a baby.

I really don't know what time period I would go back to. There are so many its hard to pick! Can't I just go to all of them?

Revolutionary France
And a hell of a lot more

But from a ROCKIN' OUT viewpoint, I'd like to visit the 1970s in North America 8DDD

I hear about all sorts of interesting historical mysteries all the time. I would do a bunch of research on those, then go back in time and see what really happened, then come back and write a bestselling historical novel. Maybe many. And I would become rich and famous and awesome.

This was the final essay question on my Ancient History 3U exam. I said Egypt, because I big portion of the class was based on the Ancient Egyptians and their culture, and the mysteries surrounding the pyramids. However I would really want to back in time to the Netherlands in the 15th century. Why, because I would be able to meet and observe my ancestors, and tell them not to cut down the trees in Aalsmeer , so we wouldn't get stuck with the unfornuate name of "Cutter of Trees" for a last name.

a guilty pleasure of mine is imagining going back to victorian times and buying dresses and parasols.

i wouldnt change anything in history but maybe i would go back a few years and tell my friend she has to go to my birthday party i was sad when she didnt come so yeah i think thats about it.

I'd like to see what it was like to live then, like the older Western Movies. Round up a posse, ride all day, rob banks and trains. Romance, running from the law, camping outside. I don't know, that kind of stuff makes me all googly eyed.

Ancient Troy.
Suddenly,after seeing that movie I really want to go there.
Back during those times.
It'd be an amazing and overwhelming site in my opinion.
Just to see the every day people running errands,playing games,and chatting in the market.
To the great kings and queens dining at dinner,the royal weddings,and worship.
Quite astounding it sounds from right now in this time after seeing the film.
Lovely.

And also Ancient Egypt because I have this thing with Egyptology. x3
I'd like to see the pyramids being built.
And the boats float lazily along the Nile river.

I don't know about future,I'm content now.
