trusting Some one?
im Just wondering, How long does it take for you to trust some one? it usely takes me About 2-3 years before i can. xD; i love my friendships with my friends but i hate being lied to and i hate the fact i cant trust alot of people.
So topics: Ever had something happen to you due to some one lied and you trusted them? How long does it take for you to trust some one? etc-etc. :] |
Well, in order for me to talk to people, I have to trust them. So I give people a little trust instantly. I'm good at judging how people are, so I know who I can and cannot trust, unless they're really good liars.
Like this one boy... I won't go into it, but Iv trusted him, he cheated on me, I forgave him and trusted hima gain and, he did it again. He was a fantastic liar, until I started seeing patterns. Haven't trusted many people since then. |
I think I can trust someone as soon as they trust me! Other times, though, I can trust a person by the way they act. If I hear that a person has told someone else's secret, I don't trust that person.
My friends I can trust them and that's because I've known them for so long! So I guess I can trust a person by how long I've known them and when they trust me! |

clair: alot of people are like that. i have a few childhood friends i still dont trust cause i know they Lie and i wouldnt do that.. and people can act diff so youll trust them and hurt you so beware. xDD;; |

It's hard sometimes. You really care about someone and you want to trust them but sometimes, you're afraid to trust them! Do Menteur and Lsaylor agree with Clair.

I totally understand how you feel! My last best friend I wanted so bad to trust her and for a while I did, then she didn't like me anymore because I wasn't pretty and popular enough and that made her look bad! I trusted her and well, I got it thrown back into my face like a cream pie!

I usually am pretty trusting unless they've given me a reason not to be. And even then, sometimes I am anyway although I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
Honestly... you're probably going to get burned tons of times no matter what, so you might as well move on and try(trust?) again. <3 I try to keep that in mind when things happen. |
if my friends dont take me for who i am i wont trust them nor be friends with them.

Usually I can tell wether I should trust someone or not from the very beginning, but I have made a couple bad chioces. I won't talk about it here because there are people I know in real life on this website.

You should be comfortable enough to trust the people you think are safe to trust! It's part of trusting the most important person, yourself!

I usually make the decision based on my first impression of someone. If they're bitchy and stuck up then I won't trust them, however if they're kind and seem like a caring person then I will trust them, not fully, but I will have some trust in them.

Well, it doesn't always have to do with time. I have one friend who I knew for only a couple of months, but I felt comfortable enough to share some of my biggest secrets with her because we related so well. And I have on friend who I've known for almost 15 years, but I know not to trust her with big secrets. She's just too open with our other friends.
So, it really has to do more with the character of the person. |
it takes me a while maybe a year if i talk to them very little, but sometimes you can tell in a couple of day just be there attitude. but it may not work for everyone.

I hardly trust anyone until I know them for a long, long time. There's no certain time set, just when I feel like I can tell them things and stuff like that. |
