Oh really? So the people just cutting for a fad have a real life issue that makes them need to cut? Not everyone has to have an issue or psychological problem to cut themselves. Though I guess I could agree that someone cutting themselves just for the sake of a fad might have some issues. xD;

I just think it's plain stupid when people do it to live up to their 'stereotype'.

You have got to be mentally troubled to be emo.
Most emos I know/knew always cried. Always said "life r suck". always complained about how this never goes right. NEVER fucking shut up about how they aren't loved. and they can't ever listen to any other bands except HIM, Paramore, Fallout Boy, or something of equal suck.

Then you have the "OMG KILL MISELF" who are just plain annoying. Also very severely mentally strained, and possibly retarded.

Then theres the type of emo that thinks they are "Poetically Beautiful" and they write the stupidest poetry ever. They often look up to Poe or other Dark Poets. Almost always considered "poser".
Are also hardcore fans of Toonami/Adult Swim Anime, thinking that they are "Anime Pro" for watching some of the stupidest shit ever. Never regards the Gundam series as true anime, but considered Avatar an anime.

I don't like emos.
Most of them are some of the stupidest people I know, and should seek out a good asylum to rot in :]

Punks I don't really mind, as long as they're more open to people. But Cyberpunks I absolutely adore >w<
They have the best wardrobe ever.

ETC:
If it includes Goths/Darkfiends then.... well, most of my friends fall in that category. I love their style too. With all the black and chains and piercings, they represent individuality at the peak of perfection. They aren't afraid to say "Hey look at me! Now kill yourself"

Look at a crowd of emos:
Same hairstyle, same shirts, same tight pants (And on one occasion, I saw this emo kid wearing 7+ belts.) and always wearing some sort of pink.

Look at a crowd of Goths/punks/darkfiends/related styles:
You might see one with no hair, one with alot of tattoos, one wearing wide shorts over tight pants with some kickass boots on, another wearing practically nothing at all, and another with Liberty spikes that are longer than his forearm.

Whats more diverse?
What seems more "Poserific"?

Most emos=bad

And cutters are bad.
If you'd willingly mutilate yourself for no reason (Which most of them do. These problems most of them have are just made up, or being melodramatic) then you're no better than... than.... Reagan or Nixon.

I do agree with you on that then. D:

i think that lables are just stupid, im not goth, punk, emo, or anything like that. i am just me thats just it, nothing more nothing less.

There's nothing wrong with following a particular style. I prefer to not limit myself to any one look, but I go with the emo look from time to time. It's hip and hot and all that right now afterall. :)
