I have nothing against emo people. The only problem I have is that I consider it more of a music "genre." I would have ever guess that someone would use it as a classification.
Another problem I have with it is the stereotypes for them. I know some people in my school who are nothing like that. I have nothing against emos in general. (except for the ones that live near me. :x)

Not emo, punk, or sterotyped, but I do think there is something wrong with them.
Please make a discussion point, rather than a poll.
This is the General Discussion.
Maybe point out what you may think is wrong?
And why?

It's just downright annoying when people use those terms beyond the classification of music. Is it really so necessary to label everything you see? =/
Unless you're calling someone a punk, like "Hey, punk." Then it's down right amusing. <_<

I think something's wrong with them if they cut. :']
But I don't see anything else "wrong" with them, really.
Let them be how they want to be.

But emos and punks don't cut. .__.
Cutters are just weirdos that have no better ways of expressing themselves. :C
Cutters give emo music and its enjoyers a bad name imo. xD

Mmm...nope. >>; I don't really care about labels. As long as the person isn't a total jerkwad, I'm fine. >3>
Besides, whenever people try to label me, they usually stick me somewhere in the "dark" category. I don't get it, but oh, well. -_-; I've always liked the fashion anyway. x3
The funniest thing is that it's usually people from those groups who try to stick those labels on me. xD And, for some odd reason, they're almost always guys. >.<;
I don't really consider myself a part of any group. I'm an easygoing person, and parts of my personality sort of adapt to whatever environment I'm in, so I get along with almost everyone. =3

Notice that anyone can be one or that you don't notice them cutting?
But yeah, it's pretty sad either way.

I just think there phases people go through, when they try to figure out who they are and where they fit into the world. I have nothing against any of those stereotypes, except for the fact that I dislike sterreotypes.. *shrugs* If they are themselves, and still whatever label you want to put on them, I'm fine with it.

I don't have any problems with them until they bother me with something lame. Like if I'm getting ready to go and my friends get all emo and start to act lame because of whatever reason. Yeah that bugs, but other than that no problem with them at all.

I have a problem with "The whole world hates me *cutcutcut*" Attitude, but the rest is fine. I just think that whole attitude is silly and selfish especially as I've yet to meet someone with bigger problems than me and I'm not like that so I don't see that they have the right to make everyone who does care about them worry...

I have a problem with the people who try to be emo or punk or goth or whatever. Or any stereotype/label/clique thing.
Whether they're trying hard to do it because it's "in" or because they think it'll make them "different".
I don't like the people who have a warped sense of non-conformism, and essentially, conform in their desperate attempts to be non-conformist. (E.G. doing things only because you think it will make you "different", regardless of whether you like that thing or not. Don't wear black to be "different" if you want to wear yellow. Wear black if you want to wear black.)
But hey, if someone honestly likes the punk style, or the emo music, go for it. Like that stuff. But if you're only doing it to be "different" or something, then you need to do something you actually like, rather than spend your time trying to stick out (because if you become textbook emo or punk or goth or whatever... you're not going to stand out. You're going to blend in to all the rest. And what is "different" about blending in?)
Also note that this doesn't apply to only those labels. Any label, really. The same could be said for any of them.
That being said, I also agree with Angel. Some of these people need some serious perspective. Some of them honestly have a problem and need help. But I think alot of them just need some perspective, a slap in the face and to finally see "Even though he doesn't like me, the world isn't ending, and I have a full life ahead of me"

Not true. :/
That's mean, people who cut themselves are not weird and they only do that if they are having some issues IRL or having problems. Don't call them weird.
Um..well I hate stereotyping like that and i'm tired of people being mean to people who dress like that and stuff. It's just a style! People can be so immature about stuff like that it really annoys me.
And for people making fun of others who dress that way or cut need to stop because they have no idea whats going on in that persons life and don't know anything about them. There's NO need for it...

- I figure people should just express themselves in whatever way they feel like. As long as they're not hurting others or themselves, I don't care. They can dress however they want to dress, listen to whatever music they enjoy and call themselves whatever they want to be called.
