  • I bawled when my mom threw out my old pair of Converse. Okay, so I was PMSing at the time, but still. They were faded and had holes in them, but they were SO comfortable! :C I don't like how new Converses look. I liked my old beat up ones.

So why do you think some people might not like the shit?
They might think that you're like some goody tooshoe<(No idea how to spell that), or they like using drugs and all that no good stuff. Ya know? Cause why else would they not like it? That's the only reason I could think, or they're jealous of your shirt.

Do you have any articels of clothing that people just don't like for a stupid reason?
Nope. At least not that I know of. If I did, I would hope that the people that hated it would speak up, and not be cowards...I think I would wear it more often if I found out someone didn't like my shirt.

Other notes: You know, I don't think I've ever had something that my mom doesn't like me to wear.

Was my class the only class to ever get the ugly tan DARE shirts? I hate mine with a passion. :o I wish I had gotten a black or white one. ;_;

I thought wearing old shirts was in style now. ;D A lot of kids at my high school wore really old shirts and stuff and tried to pass it off as prep.

But seriously I don't know why they'd have a problem with your shirt. I'd wear it.

I have some old shirts my boyfriend hates. He thinks they make me look like a bum or something I dunno...

All my black shirts are faded dark grayish and are just now getting to full comfortableness. I usually only wear them around the house...since I'm more aware of how I want to look in public so I tend to wear nicer shirts outside now. XD But as soon as I get inside I'm throwing on p.js and an over sized shirt.

I feel so sorry for you a Tan DARE t-shirt thats bad. Thats not bad thats just plain horrible. The white DARE t-shirts are the newest ones that only came out last year I think. If I rember rightly from the photo in the local newspaper. But a tan DARE t-shirt. I can't get over that.

I can't imagine why people wouldn;t like a shirt that has a good message to it, unless they diaghreed I guess. I think you should keep wearing it anyway, lol. ;)

I have some big heels that have ribbon that you lace up your legs, and some people kind of think that that is stupid. :P I like them anyway, though. :)

I've no sense of "new" fashion.
I wear my pajamas in public, to school, etc. Unless I'm going somewhere important or formal, like a dinner or work. xD
My boyfriend absolutely loves it when I wear his shorts. You know how guys wear those super long shorts down to their knees? Well, he's 6ft even, and I'm 4' 10". So they reach down to about mid calf on me, but my boyfriend thinks it's hot for some odd reason. =/
I also wore a tank of his that was too baggy, and he thought that was hot as well.
Normally though, I just wear black dress pants or jeans and a turtleneck. People tell me I dress "sophisticated."
I just find turtlenecks to be comfortable. =D
I don't care what other people think of my appearance, as long as I feel happy with it. If I'm trying to impress (such as an interview or a dinner with the boyfriend and his family, etc.) I dress decently. =]

My sister said this morning when she slept over my dad's house that she forgot to pack jeans, and she had to wear her pajama bottoms to her doctor's appointment and McDonald's.

I agree with the comment on how they're probably druggies. I mean, I like cookies. I would be mad if someone wore a shirt that said: Go drown in your milk, you cookie monsters! I'm not standing up for the druggies or anything, I'm just saying that they probably feel guilty for taking drugs, so they'll be super sensitive to your shirt. I say wear it as often as possible! It's a good shirt that conveys a great message.

I have a WoW jacket that says: For the Horde. There's this guy on my campus who is on the Alliance and is a huge WoW fan, so everytime he sees me wearing it, he'll shout, "Damn Hordie!" O.O He's like twenty years older than me at least, so it's kind of weird.

I used to have one too, but that was such a looooong long time ago @[email protected]
But, I know where your coming from. I have shirts that I personally really like, but that my mom hates because there's a hole in it, or it looks old and dingy.
And seriously, you can't go wrong with DARE.
I remember that from intermediate school when they came around.
If someone is offended by it, then something else must be wrong O_o

My mom for some reason does not like my dragon T-shirts cause she says they promote drugs...and they are just normal dragons, not even close to drug related. Then for my cosplay coat that I wear around from Kingdom Hearts 2, the organization XIII outfit, people either go odd person for matrix coat, or think it is really awesome, this same thought is heard for most of my trench coats.

My mom doesn't like it because it is an older shirt, it has one little hole in it but it can easily be fixed. But come to find out from a friend there are a few other people at my school who, for some reason unknown to me, don't like my shirt. It sends a good message and personaly I like it.

Don't pay attention to what people want to say about your clothing.
Its just clothes.
And unless it promotes something horrible then I wouldn't worry about it.
Just like Kid Rock's "I love Black People" tee.
I want it.
:x
Theres a lot worse.
A lot.

There's nothing wrong with that ^^
I have a similar t-shirt that says "hugs not drugs" inside an orange heart, and its a boys t-shirt, but I like to wear it sometimes.
The only part I dislike about it is that my dad (who I dont have the greatest relationship with) always chases me trying to hug me when I wear it. I have to shout "It doesn't say HUG ME NOT DRUG ME, gooo away"
xD.
Anyway, point being if you like the shirt, who cares what anyone else says : D

I've never had a shirt that no one liked, but I could imagine people not liking a DARE shirt. In our day and age it's normal for kids to be loured into doing drugs, so maybe the people in your school do drugs and that's why they don't like the shirt? Maybe? Maybe not?

As for an article of clothing I've had that parents hated, pretty simple to chose one. I used to wear this really long, slightly baggy black pleather skirt with chains and key rings all over it. My mom instantly disliked it and told me I should return it. My Dad just looked at it funny for a minute and said whatever. With time my Mom grew to accept my skirt. She called it my "dress up day" when I wore it. Though, one girl at school and her clique of friends liked to call me a walking trash bag whenever they saw me in it. But then, that girl didn't like me so she did anything she could to make me feel bad.

My sister wears these old shirts and it's lame. XDD
Just for the fact that like...
they're so old.
And she has so many other shirts.
But that's really the only reason. XDD
I have a Dare shirt. >D

As everyone is suggusting, the people are probably drug addicts. Wear the shirt as often as possible due to its vastly encouraging message!

Hmmm... I can't see why anyone wouldn't like it, I would love to have one of them but I didn't get one when the program was around :( anyway I don't really think it should matter if anyone else likes it or not as long as you like it and want to were it who cares what others think?

O.o I used to have one until I grew out of it. xD
I remember going through the program when I was in elementary school. Most kids slept right through it, haha.

I think the only reason people might not like a shirt like that is because it conveys that goody sort of thing. Most kids think it's cool to go against parents' and authority's rule. I wouldn't be too worried about it, when you get older people will stop caring. *shrugs*
And your mum probably just doesn't like it because it has a hole in it.

Mothers don't like clothes with holes in it.
Kids at your school don't like it because they think it's goody-goody. It's the second part that makes me go wtf. Sucks how people think they're the shit when they do illegal things. =/

there are a lot of people who do drugs

and i know plenty of them, but usually only the idiots hate it when people are against it

i have lots of pot heads as friends, and they're all for it when they find out someone doesn't do drugs.

it doesn't really matter anyway

its not like they have to wear the shirt
