Maybe they don't like it because they're drug dealers or something.

Anyway, who cares? I mean, your body, your choice. x]

As far as I can tell, there's nothing wrong with your shirt.
I'd wear it. XD;
It doesn't matter what other people think, as long as you like it, you should wear it. :3

lol, typo, u wrote shit instead of shirt. But what do you mean they don't like it? Like in which way? Do they think it's childish? Or it's offensive or something? Because DARE is a quite old program that teaches kids not to do drugs. Perhaps the kids who don't like it actually do do drugs and they think that you know about it. And by flaunting around that shirt, they think you're teasing them or something.

Here in San Diego from my experience a lot of the folks who wear the DARE shirts are actually people who do drugs.
They were it for the irony. I
t's just like a lot of athiest here wear rosaries;
however, they do it to display that "religion is a fad".

My DARE instructor was my neighbor :o

My shirts are way too old and... do I even have mine anymore? o 3o

I don't see why people care about other people's clothes, unless it looks downright horrid >O>

Well they could be like fashion prone. I myself wouldn't wear just plain shirt and jeans. I have to be highly fashionable and matching.

They are probably just jealous that you have such an awesome shirt. :D Just Kidding... Maybe it's because they are doing d-r-u-g-s and hate being told to quit/stop/that they are bad for them. :D

Hope that helps!!!

I'm pretty sure the only reason people dislike your shirt,
Is because they like drugs and/or violence.

Personally, I hate those shirts that people wear,
That say lame things like LEGALIZE MARIJUANA.
Or, SMOKE WEED, or lame shit like that.
Promoting that you are doing something that is illegal,
Is just plain stupid.

I like when people wear things that match.

Had I the resources, I would do so.
But I do not, so I usually settle for just
Having my socks match the shirt I'm wearing.

I say, as long as you like it, who cares who else does?

I don't follow fashion. I wear what I like, and what's comfortable.
Even if someone says that they hate what I'm wearing, or make fun of me for it, I just shrug it off.

After all, who cares what they think?
They're all just fashion drones.
xD

I hated the Dare program because they gave out wrong information. I remember they spoke about weed like it was evil and went into things that I come to find out were false. Granted it would be an excellent program if they just didn't give wrong information out. Plus government organized function never are a good thing. They also are meant for profit never for anything else.

I have a few shirts my parents hate. I have one with a Satanic symbol but it is a 45 Grave t-shirt and I love that band... And another a Behemoth t-shirt with "Christian's to the Lions" on the back. It kind of offends people. I also have one shirt by Ministry that states "In the Land of Rape and Honey" that people find offensive. I just like being offensive I guess.

Maybe they don't like not because they don't like the message, but maybe because it's a little worn out..? And that they would not want to see you wear that kind of worn out shirt? There's that big possibility...
In my opinion, it's kinda not really that big a deal.
Don't worry about what others say.
If you like the shirt,
go out and wear it..
Nobody should stop you.
The choice is all yours.

  • I have a DARE shirt that I sometimes wear it's about 12 years old now and I still wear it. Although it does send a good message the dare program itself wasn't that great :/

I say that you should wear the cloths you want to wear and tell your mom to mind her own buisness . . . XP

people have they're own opinions,if you like the shirt, then where it!you souldn't let other people say what you should and shouldn't wear.it sounds like i would like it!
i had this jurassic park movie shirt that was really old,it's probably as old as the movie!thats like,15 years right?i still have it,and i still wear it,it as thin as a kleenex(i wear a shirt under it!) and it's faded as hell and it has TONS OF HOLES!and the original stiching on the bottom is completeley gone,it just a bunch of rags,no one likes it but my friends, even if they didn't like it,i would still wear it.

you can still barley see the black t rex skelleton!
it's my favortie shirt ever!

From what I get, it's not the slogan that they don't like. It is that the thing looks shabby to them, even if it's new.

That is kind of dumb... I were shirts with holes all the time... And as for them being old well I were my shirt/ pants until they can no longer function as such!

As for the people at your school, depending on your age they are probably engaging in some of the activities looked down on by the dare program so they don't like that you wear it and kind of announce you AREN'T like them!

I'm afraid to wear shirts like that at my school even though I am full supporter of anti drug and alcohol.

Too many people sniff and smoke at my school and I don't want to get beaten up (which I probably would)

I keep my DARE shirt at home...

unless they are chronic pot head i dont know why people wouldnt like a shirt like that. i get picked on for wearing tripp pants from hot topic with my own chain belt on them at school a lot. i guess its just because people arent comfortable with other peoples originality or unique style. i really hate when people judge others when they havent even met.

I LOVE DARE SHIRTS. Whenever I see someone wearing one (which isn't very often) I give them a hi-five. (: I never had my own, but I really, really do want one.

All of the shirts I wear are amusing, but my mom doesn't like this one shirt I have. It has a picture of fat Buddha on it and it says "For Good Luck Rub My Tummy." She thinks that it's stupid, but I think it's special because I met some of my best friends because of that shirt. They came up to me and rubbed my belly. XDD

I still have my DARE t-shirt from 5th grade and I guess some people may not like it because they're pot smoking dumbasses. XD I haven't come across a person that doesn't like the DARE program but I guess major chain smokers and drug abusers don't like the threat of their precious nicotine someday being extinct. As impossible as that seems it's still a threat to them. They're like animals, they can smell fear so wear your shirt with pride and say no to drugs...no bullshitting either because drugs are a major mistake, there's no benefit from doing them and they can only hurt others.
My mom doesn't like my Nuckin Futz shirt but I wear it all the time so she's learned to deal. XD

I actually heard a lot of bad things about DARE. I heard that it teaches SOME people how to do drugs without getting caught (not on purpose of course). There was a lot of contradicting propaganda that some of my friends and family told me about when I was like, in 6th grade lol. I don't know though, I never really researched it

Maybe if it has holes in it, you said it is worn. I can't imagine why someone wouldn't like it because of the message. My daughter has some clothes that I can't imagine why she wears them because they either don't fit right or have holes.

They may dislike it because they secretly do drugs...
Or... I don't know? What's wrong with a shirt against drugs? Maybe they are jealous because it's cool. It's vintage, sort of.

Anyway, I wear some old clothes too. I've got this Halloween shirt I wear year round (Yeah, I know... but it's my precious >_<) that says "I'm the Treat." It's worn too... and fading. But I feel so good in it. Almost Natural.
I haven't had a lot of complaints about, "Why do you wear that?" Maybe because people are used to me wearing what I want. xD
