Okay, not really, although it is a nice feature. The internet is entertainment for me most of the time, and a workplace when convention time gets close. |

I use it for avatar sites, chat with friends, MMORPGs (especially Guild Wars :P), looking up random information, sites with funny content, and finally, my last and recently added reason for having internet access, video relay service. :P |

If I'm not mistaken, it was originally designed as a military function (like so many things around the world) to make global communication easier. Gotta love the old stories about "oh the computers took up an entire room!!" from people over 40, fufufu. |

I just use it to entertain myself. And occasionally do homework. |

The way I heard it, the internet was made so that a computer network could stay operational even if some centres were taken out with nuclear weapons.
But the World Wide Web was created to convey information simply and quickly to people via their computers. And that's what it does. Though I use it for socialising, entertainment, and well, what Avenue Q says it's for. |

I use the internet for entertainment. Also, when I want a general explanation for something I'll look it up online. I have an online class too, which is way better than going to actual class.

Let's see... I first started using it YEARS ago to go on Neopets. xD (I quit, of course)
I mainly use it to do reports on stuff, find random information, listen to music, read manga, watch anime, Menewsha, ect.. xDD Internet is my life, so I don't know what I'd do if it disappeared.. >< |
