I'm 17 and I have really bad eyes too. >_< I haven't mixed up shampoo and conditioner because of the colors-conditioner is an orange blur and shampoo is a blue blur-but it makes shaving hellish. You can never tell if there is still hair to be shaven off.

I'm off balance without my glasses too, I'll walk into walls and doorways and trip over chairs.

*sighs* Not only are contacts expensive but they hurt my eyes. I like glasses though, they're cute if inconvenient.

psyrien 12-01-2007 12:43 AM

I'm legally blind without my glasses too! ...I used to have contacts, but then I had to go and lose one. TT.TT And I don't have disposable lenses, so it's not like I can just get a new one from next month's set. No, I have to wait until I go back home, see the doctor, order it, and then go in to pick it up. So until then, I'm stuck wearing glasses. Bah. So I will be doomed without my glasses, especially because I don't have contacts anymore.

But when I first got my glasses I was like WEIFJTHETREESHAVELEAVES! xD My mother laughed at me.

Sirec 12-01-2007 12:43 AM

I have glasses, but they're mostly not for bad vision. I'm very slightly umm...I get them confused, the one where I can't see far stuff >.>;
But I can see things fine without glasses, I just can't read things from really far away. I can actually read better without glasses too.

disturbed66 12-01-2007 12:44 AM

Yea i agree with you on the contactsT T
Plus they take for ever to put in and anytime you move your eyes wronge they hurt even wors!

The shampo and condshiner are new and both look exactly the same! >< arg

xD I was the same way!

I was like "Whoa... grass has individual blades and things have sharp edges, neat! o 3o"

I dont think I'm legally blind without my glasses, but I cant see more than 8 feet in front of my face with them off. xD

Aurora 12-01-2007 12:48 AM

Lol, i'm 17 as well and I can see without my glasses, but not very good..e_e..
When I put my glasses on, I can see WAY better though. :3
...I don't like how I look in glasses much...>.>

neur0mancer ~ Same here, xD

disturbed66 12-01-2007 12:49 AM

Lols i can only see things 5 inches rom my face. I MESURED!

Queen Fool 12-01-2007 12:56 AM

I can see okay without my glasses, but I get a massive headache. Due to my dad being beyond legally blind (but 100% correctable), and my mom having mild vision problems, there's a good chance I'll be legally blind before I'm 18. But I'm correctable too, so...GO LASIK!

Sweet Lemon Effect 12-01-2007 01:02 AM

XD it sounds like we all took a look at the grass and trees. I was like:

"What...What the hell happened to the ground?! It's all...weird!"

And now I have to get my lenses replaced because I'm getting headaches and can't read the board in the front row. I need new glasses like every 3 months. My family can't afford that :evil: fisking astigmatism.

Aliesier 12-01-2007 01:05 AM

My eyesight isn't very bad. I need glasses to see far away. Especially for reading the board.

I'm not supposed to wear my glasses all the time, but I like being able to see things that are far away without having to squint just to make out the shape.

Eroy 12-01-2007 01:07 AM

I'm not so blind. My vision get's blurry but I don't have issues like mixing up shampoo and conditioner. I just can't see the TV and I get a headache.

Thunder 12-03-2007 07:17 PM

I have glasses and they're really annoying. ._.;; I took them off at night once without putting them in the case. I woke up and my boyfriend let the puppy in my room, who snatched up my glasses and started running before I could grab them. It took me forever to find them again. It's kinda funny now, but it really sucked then.

Jennifer 12-03-2007 07:49 PM

I wear glasses too; but my vision isn't really bad without them. I mean, I can't read things from a distance. So when I'm watching television without my glasses, you're more likely to see me sitting about two feet from it, lol.

...and I'm not allowed to drive if I don't wear my glasses, as I can't see signs in time if I'm not wearing them. >.o

I usually don't wear my glasses though, as I rarely drive or watch television or do any kind of activity that requires the use of them. And contacts don't like me. They're so hard to get in, cause I always blink when trying. ;C

Masochism 12-03-2007 08:05 PM

It kind of depends ont he day. I have worse eyes than my parents, but I can focus them to almost twenty twenty.
Granted, I gain a MAJOR head-ache afterwards.
But if I leave them alone and let them go their own way, I can't see a black pole two feet in front of me.
D;
I was running a loop and I couldn't see the chain-length fence in front of me...sorta cut me to ribbons. D;
I wear glasses, but only as often as I remember them, which you think would be more often then not when you can't really see at all. D:
STUPID EYE MUSCLES. D;

fuyumi_saito 12-03-2007 08:32 PM

I have sight problems. My vision is getting worse, so I need new ones*just got new glasses this year* I would like to get contacts..but my family is broke right now so all the promises about contacts aren't coming true.

My vision isn't too bad.. Everything is just extremely blurry..Some things blend in together and I can't see those.. some things are nicer to look at when they are blurry. >_>

Amo_Angelus 12-03-2007 09:03 PM

I got glasses aged 9 and myeyesight was pretty bad, but the glasses are actually correcting it, now I frequently wander around without them. I only need them for distance. typing and reading and such I look around my glasses at work, but at home I just take them off.

siaasgn 12-03-2007 09:11 PM

I've only recently started needing glasses (like - withing the last 6 years). My vision isn't too bad - but I can't see anything that is not close.

I can see to walk around, but I can't make out faces until people are really near without my glasses, and I definitely can't drive without my glasses.

I don't wear them when I'm at work (being on a computer with my glasses on makes my head hurt) and I don't put them on at home unless I need to see the TV (which is rarely).

I've started needing them for my laptop - but it's uncomfy. When I use the laptop I try and keep it as far down my legs as possible- if it's closer it hurts my head but I can't see to use it well without my glasses on :x

V!rtual Insanity 12-03-2007 09:25 PM

I'm practically blind without my glasses, but I don't like wearing them unless I'm watching tv or something, because I feel like I look ugly with them on. But recently, I realized I probably only think I look better without them on, cause I can't see as good. xD;

But I still pretty much have to wear them, because I think my eyesight has gotten even worse in the past year. :(
Plus, everytime I take them off, I lose them.

Reikuken 12-03-2007 09:30 PM

My glasses help with my depth perception problems. Basically, I see in 2-D... weird, I know. But without my glasses, I can't use stairs, I can't judge how far away from people I am, and I tend to misjudge distances... so I have to wear them when driving, reading, etc. for sure, but I wear mine all the time. On top of that, I'm near-sighted. =[

Motion 12-03-2007 09:51 PM

Does your eyesight affect your grammar too?

ToriKat 12-03-2007 10:31 PM

  • I thought my eyesight was poor. Then I met a ton of people who have far thicker lenses than me. >_<; Kind of a relief to know I can go without my glasses and actually function. I just can't see distant things clearly.

    Since I have pretty good vision...nope, no problems here. :D

Servant_of_Victory 12-03-2007 10:39 PM

I just went to a new eye doctor last week to get new contacts. It was funny after I was told to take out my old pair cause I couldn't see anything. I was a little scared that they left me alone in the room to put my old contacts away in the little plastic container cause after both eyes were out, I couldn't find the caps for the container >_>

I haven't been able to see the E on that eye test since Junior High, I've lost sight of the wall that they actually mount that chart on anyway so its always a laugh when I get asked to stand against the wall and read the last line I can read ^_^

Since I live in my contacts, it takes a visit to the eye doctors for me to realize just how blind I've become.

  • I have really bad eyesight >.<
    I've been wearing glasses since I was in 2nd grade. I think my prescription is -6.75 in my right eye, and -6.5 in my left eye. My glasses are so thick!

    I can't see at all without them, but if I am in a familiar place, I have no problem navigating without my glasses. The worst thing is waking up with a hangover and not being able to find your glasses D: I've done that tons of times, and I always find them either next to the toilet, or someone took them off of me and put them somewhere else, and I have to call them to find out where they are. >:-[

    heh, I wore contacts in the shower the other day, and it was so odd, because I could see!

    The only thing I don't like about contacts is that i can't see close up. I can see clearly for about 6 inches in front of me. So whenever I'm cuddling with someone, I always take my glasses off so I can see them, since they're so close. But with contacts, everything closer than 6 inches of my face is blurry.
