True what you say. And it goes for me apparently, because my friends go "Wow Andre you friggin sound like a man on the phone" and I go "Thanks! ^^" and when I talk to them on person I say "Do I still have that man voice 8) ? " they go "No man it doesn't." -_-;

Hehe, I don't talk on the phone really..>.> -hates talking on the phone-

Brain-Damnage 12-02-2007 04:46 PM

I don't really talk on the phone all that much...I have two good friends who I talk to pretty regularly, but I'm not much of a phone gabber. We'll talk for maybe half an hour...and one of my friends is in the same networking chapter I belong to, so usually it's just chapter business. I prefer talking to people face to face I suppose. :)

I honestly hate phones. I'd much rather just drop by someone's house and, even if I've known you forever, I will still get nervous when I pick up the phone to call you. It's kind of dumb, really. ._.;; I have a friend who will try to keep me on the phone as long as possible, not even talking about anything! Drives me crazy. I can talk for a long time if it's about something really interesting or really important, but honestly? A five minute phone call is just fine by me.

Mousey 12-03-2007 05:18 PM

I don't talk on the phone much at all anymore. I live with my boyfriend, and I keep up with my best friends via the internet. The only person I really call much now is my mother, haha. But I still visit her a few times a month too, so, not a lot of phone talkin' for me.

Elwing 12-03-2007 05:25 PM

I don't use the phone alot. I just bought a new one because
my old one was half dead and it's corpse disapeared...
But I only call when it's an emergancy.
I send a few textmessages though.

No one ever calls me. XD Sometimes my friend will call to ask if she can come over, or if I want to go for a walk with her, but we don't really TALK on the phone.
I do, however, talk to my boyfriend on the phone pretty much every saturday. (though I couldn't last saturday, and I won't get to next Saturday, but NORMALLY, I get to) And we normally talk for about four hours. Sometimes we get to talk for a little bit on Sunday, too.
That's pretty much it. XD

I get really nervous when I call people. I'm always afraid someone else will pick up, and I'll freeze. (it happens to me alot. "Hello?" "Hi. Is Mike there?" "Big Mike or little Mike?" "........................ uh..." "Probably little Mike, right?" ".............sure..." I mean, obviously the guy I was calling had the same name as his dad. I just wasn't prepared for that question.)

Depending on who I'm talking to, I can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours on the phone. But, I have to rely on my cell phone to talk to people since I don't have a phone in my dorm, so I try to keep my conversations between 20-40 minutes.

.~.Secret.love.~. 12-03-2007 07:20 PM

I don't talk on the phone any more. I text message every one. Even my mom...
Which is crazy cause she can't text back so she calls me.
The longest I ever spent talking on the phone was for about 10 hours. It was with my ex and we talked and talked and then he took a nap, for like ten minutes and I listened to him breathing.
He was away visiting family and we missed each other. So then I took a nap for about five minutes so he could listen to me. >.<
But now days the most I ever spend on the phone a week is maybe 9-11 hours.

DarkMelancholy 12-03-2007 07:50 PM

Oh wow. I haven't talked on the phone in a long~long~ time.

The last time I talked--had an actually conversation--on the phone, lasted about two hours?
Yeah, I don't remember. But I do remember, we kind of started to run out of topics to
talk about, (yeah, we're not really talkative people xD) and started talking about cheese!
Everybody loves cheese! ^^ (Okay, maybe not everybody. ^^") And then, we continued
talking about other stuff. xD

The longest phone call I have ever had, was a few years ago, when my friend decided to
use the three-way phone call. And the three of us chatted for about five hours, until midnight,
when my friend had to leave. xD

Motion 12-03-2007 10:17 PM

Altough I like talking on the phone; text message is king. 8)

ToriKat 12-03-2007 10:28 PM

  • Not very long. When I'm at home, I'll probably talk for three hours every two weeks to each of my friends. On my cell, I limit it to about twenty to thirty minutes once a month or something. I can't afford to buy tons of minutes. D:

I prefer seeing and talking to my friends in person...or just chatting by instant messaging.

Fuumuu 12-03-2007 11:15 PM

I spend about two hours a night on the phone with my boyfriend. So..that's 2 x 7... 14 hours a week - with just him. And that's -only- if we follow the two hour thing.

Sometimes, we stay on for an extra hour or so... and of course, my other friends call me too. If it's my best friend, I tend to stay on the phone with her for -hours-. xD;; Ahh~ I don't know. <3 I do know that my telephone habits have changed a lot since elementary - believe it or not, I was much worst back then. xD;;<3

Reikuken 12-03-2007 11:25 PM

I just got off the phone with my boyfriend.

The longest time I ever spent on the phone was THIRTEEN hours with an ex of mine. To say the least, we didn't sleep that night xD

I don't talk on the phone that much anymore. My thirteen hour long conversation was over two years ago. I rarely ever use the phone nowadays except to talk to my boyfriend. Once in a great while I call my other friends. xD

V!rtual Insanity 12-03-2007 11:33 PM

I don't really like talking on the phone much. In fact, I never call people. But my one friend calls me like a few times a day, and can talk for HOURS. Sometimes we barely even talk to each other, but he still won't let me hang up. u.u

My other friend calls sometimes too, but she doesn't make me stay on for that long.

Eddie Dee 12-03-2007 11:40 PM

Lol, well i dont realy talk that much, and lately I havent use the phone that much, but I can easly spen about an hour or 2, wasting my time in the phone, lol, If 1 doesnt anwser then to the other its is.
P.S. I remmember that i once, i was on the phone for 3 hours, lol, and cause the battery died XD

Black Phoenix Risen 12-04-2007 12:27 AM

It really depends with who I'm talking to. If it's my best guy friend, the conversation can go on from two to three hours.
We go off on tangents a lot, and usually just call eachother randomly when we're bored. Which leads to a lot of interesting conversations.
Yeah, I know. Running up the phone bill.

But usually, not more than ten minutes because everyone seems to call me for homework help, which doesn't really take that long.

So my phone time is hugely varied.

Reikuken 12-04-2007 12:53 AM

Haha, I was on the phone a long time ago with an ex of mine and I was eating a bowl of cereal and WHOOPS! Dropped my cell phone in my bowl of cereal. I took it apart, cleaned it, let it dry, and put it back together. It still works to this day. =D

Motion 12-04-2007 01:11 AM

Hahah, I've got a friend that dropped her cellphone on the toilet and tried to fix it and it worked afterwards. xD

My mom has done that with three phones. First, she dropped hers in the toilet in the basement at an anime convention. Then it wouldn't work, so she took mine, then dropped it in the toilet at home the next morning. I forget what the other time was... I just sort of lost track after awhile. u.u

Kyoko Otonashi 12-04-2007 01:22 AM

I actually don't really talk on the phone much at all.

I talk to my mom and my boyfriend on the phone and that's about it, really.

I text more than anything. I've been known to shell out 6k texts in a month. >.>

I bet she did it on purpose. Just try to connect the dots. She throws her cellphone, then she throws yours, then the other one was probably your dads. It's all a conspiracy to keep the family disconnected.
