It depends. If its a good friend, I spend hours of time talking to the phone.
I'm always quiet if it's a person I never talk to.
But I prefer seeing people in person.

aonith 01-01-2008 02:56 PM

I don't use casual phone for talking. There exists a great programm called Skype for things like that.
Anyway, I realised, that I've been talking on my cellphone for this month more than 8 hours. *__*
I wonder how big the bill is going to be.

  • Almost 24/7. Wish and I are always on the phone. We even sometimes sleep on the phone together.

icey_paradise 01-01-2008 03:28 PM

I used to always be on the phone and would completely drain my cell battery from talking five hours at a time. Lol, but now, I like hardly use the phone, its only to call work or try and make last minute plans. Thats it.

Kalium 01-01-2008 03:41 PM

Nearly no time at all. I'm a person who is hardly ever called at all. And when I do call, it's usually my Mum so that I can tell her where the hell I am.

Queen Fool 01-01-2008 04:04 PM

A lot. I don't time it, but usually at least four days a week for two or three hours. It's normally the same two friends, though (one is on my network, and the other I usually only talk to at night, so it's all free).

Herkamyrh 01-01-2008 04:24 PM

Talking on the phone is generally equated to pulling teeth. I mean I can talk on it if its important, like if I haven't talked to the person for sometime. But on those occasions when someone I know who I see of ten calls to chat it up past the point of utility I try to wrap it up and get off the phone, its just not my bucket of chicken.

I don't talk to my friends on the phone. One, my dad is against it. If I'd ask my friend just one eensy-bitsy questions, he'll start screaming his head off, somewhere along the lines of "IS IT A BOY?? IT'S A BOY!! HANG UP GODDAMIT!!" >.> And two, I chat on AIM and GChat instead. I find it much easier to have a conversation online than through a phone [although my lack of experience can't really help]

dessertdesiert 01-01-2008 05:29 PM

I can talk anywhere between a hour or two.. it depends when my parents start getting annoyed at me or whenever the phone dies on me >.<

Akstar 01-01-2008 06:08 PM

I am not a very phone happy person. I'm still nervous as hell when I get an answering machine and I have to speak. Though if it is with the right people I can spend up to almost 4 hours a night with them. Most of the time it might be 20 to 40 minutes. However lately I've been getting calls from one of my guy friend for help on an online game. Also I'm the vice president/unofficial secretary for the sub-club for school for Dungeons and Dragons, so I get calls for me to print up more sheets. Since he doesn't have one cord to get his printer up and running. Sorry that is still really annoying me to no end. I rather chat via internet, I don't have to deal with my voice stuttering. It's just more comfortable to me.

Sirocco 01-01-2008 06:50 PM

Not too much and it depends on the person. I just don't talk very often of the phone, mostly with my parents or relatives, and about some concrete things. Those conversation just can't last too long, because there aren't anything to talk at all.

Though my 'record' was about one hour - with my best friend. And if my friend from other city call me (it happend only two times though), we talk about 30 minutes.

Takuto 01-01-2008 06:53 PM

About four hours a week.
I'm not really a huge phone person. (I use my cell phone only in emergencies.)
I guess new technologies like e-mails and instant messengers are better to communicate with others since it is simple. (and you get to do other things while doing it. Yay for multitasking!)

Celeone 01-01-2008 06:58 PM

I never talk on the phone. I only use it very rarely when I need to ask something very important, but that's it. No long conversations or anything. I usually talk to my friends on msn.. and I see them at school every day xD

Avo 01-01-2008 07:01 PM

I never talk on the phone, for some reason I hate it. I feel awkward and I have no clue what to say. Only time I'd call someone is to see what they are doing, or are they coming over. It never takes longer than 15-20 min. D: Telephones are not my thing. I'll text you or IM you or write you a letter. xD

Zefu 01-01-2008 07:26 PM

It depends. I hate using the phone to talk to people that I'm not good friends with. I never really call anyone either. I always let them call me unless I have to call them. Then depending on who it is depends on how long I talk. I talk to my friends for at least an hour if I can.

s w e e t 01-01-2008 07:40 PM

how long...i think less than 30 minutes o.o
since im the type of a person who prefers to talk face to face ^^

tentenpuff 01-01-2008 07:52 PM

An hour or two?
If it's on vacation, and there's nothing to do, we can talk for like 6 hours before one of us has to go eat. xD;;
Talktalktalktalking is fun. :D
We'd always have so much to say about anything...
Except for one of my friends, who's usually Youtubing or watching TV, so I don't really call her to talk...
And another one of my friends, who draws a lot, so when we're talking, she'd be drawing, so we don't really talk...and it's kind of boring, so I'd make an excuse to hang up... ><;;; It's just...she doesn't really say anything; just the bare minimum for a conversation...
Like, Hmmms, and Yeahs, and Uh-huhs, and a question here and there. D;
But otherwise I like talking on the phoooone. xD

Oh damn, I kill my phone bill. It's not even funny. I talk to mostly 2 people on the phone, and that is my boyfriend Antoine, and one of my best friends Josh. We talk for hourssss. We had a three-way call once. That was really fun. :D At the most I talk to them for 2-3 hours, night hours. And they're both in my fave five thinger. ^^;

Seiki Nova 01-01-2008 09:46 PM

Depends on who I'm talking to. Most of my conversations are under 5 minutes, but they can get quite a bit longer depending on the conversation and who I'm talking to.

toxic billy 01-01-2008 11:38 PM

I talk on the phone a lot. Mostly to my boyfriend and my really close friends. I usually spend at least an hour or two on the phone. Sometimes I talk longer. It's kinda upsetting sometimes when I'm on the phone everyday and I run out of things to talk about. I really want to talk but there is nothing really interesting to talk about. But I try to keep the conversation going.

Jennifer 01-02-2008 12:15 AM

About 1 1/2 hours a week. One hour on Saturdays (talking to my mother) and 1/2 hour spread out over the weekend just making random errand calls.

I don't talk that often on the phone as you can tell.

clock 01-02-2008 12:24 AM

Ten minutes maximum. xD If it goes any longer, I start making
up excuses to get off the phone. I hate talking on the phone.

Hokuto 01-02-2008 12:58 AM

Haha, I talk on the phone lots. I'd say daily I'm on the phone between half an hour and 2 hours. I guess it depends on the person though. Lots of times its just a quick 5 minute call to make sure plans are still on and such. But then there's the two people I can talk to for hours. I can talk to my boyfriend or best friend for like, hours on end. Lol. Thank god for unlimited nights and weekends or my phone bill would be insane. XD

silent.assassin 01-02-2008 12:59 AM

um well, I'm primarily a yakkosaurus, so mebbe nine hours or so? My parents are trying to cut me off from that but it's so DIFFICULT to stop. I'm pretty sure most teenagers my age probably can't contain themselves from their phones either...ahaha! <3 Well, we all go through that "phase", I think of it as an amusing "growing pain". Well for one, it's better than getting cramps.

[L]ove[H]ate 01-02-2008 01:00 AM

I don't like talking on the phone much. I'd rather talk in reality or text. It's faster and well talking is just annoying on the phone.
