My wisdom teeth are intact but not out yet. However, I have undergone a tooth x-ray some time ago and it was revealed that my lower wisdom teeth were in diagonal positions in my mouth and probably wouldn't come out. My upper wisdom teeth are okay, but if my lower wisdom teeth push out and cause pain, all four will have to be pulled, as the dentist can't let the upper wisdom teeth reach the lower gum. I have felt no need to get them pulled out so far. Speaking of teeth, did you know that the person who had most teeth at his time of birth had eight teeth, one of which was a molar? These were all pulled, as with the teeth of all babies that are born with them so that they won't swallow their teeth or worse, get them into their lungs and suffocate.

@Nightgaunt: My mum is very resilient to anesthetics too. It took its toll on her while she was undergoing a cesarian operation to give birth to my sister. The doctors had to use very little anesthetics to avoid harming the baby, and she ended up awakening before the operation was over. Ouch.

I had to have mine pulled because of my braces. >.<

Oddly though, I only had three, and same with my mom.

When I was six years old, I had surgery because of a kidney infection. I wouldn't count tooth-pulling as surgery though.

Oh dear! I had my wisdom teeth pulled last year and it was terrible! I had only three wisdom teeth and when I woke up afterwards I was really freaked out. I felt like the walls were closing in on me and all I wanted to do was rip out the IV and just run out of there. I kept asking for my mother but the doctors told me I had to wake up before they could get her. That pissed me off because I was already awake!

I only have wisdom teeth on my upper jaw so far.
My dentist hasn't suggested having them removed yet.

I'm sorry that you're in pain.
A lot of my friends have been a mess after getting theirs out.
Feel better!

Oh man. x_x

I'm pretty young to be getting wisdom teeth. I had my 10 year molars at 8 and my 12 year molars at 10. I got all my teeth early. I have an overbite, and most of my teeth are straight. The top row is great. The bottom row has 2 that are a tiny bit crooked.

Now, I'm getting my wisdom teeth.

I hope your surgery went well! Did they give you vicodin and perkoset?

Yeah, I had two of mine removed years ago. Along with two premolars, a baby tooth and two canines. All at once - I was under general anaesthetic, thankfully. The molars didn't come out intact, but I've got the canines and premolars on a little stand on my shelf. And thanks to the braces I had fitted afterwards, I have lovely straight teeth. Not that I really would have minded just having wonky teeth, but I didn't have much choice in the matter.

I am so glad they never had to pull any of my teeths off, my 4 wisdom teeths on the back don't need to be removed because...well I don't know why, but I like them where they are anyways XD I don't like the dentist at all, scared of needles going in my mouth because of a stinking cavitiy! >_<

  • Well the dentist told me my Wisdom teeth are going to stay. Theres nothing wrong with them and there prefectly fine so i'm happy they don't have to get pulled. My dad have to get a Quadruple Rootcannal and said it was like Hell.

Surgery...Well nothing really. I only have to get enamle put on my teeth because they came in with none on them. So I ahd to go to the Hospital for that, they out me under so thats about it.
