So me and my mom like to argue. We argue about fashion and hair styles and well anything really. You see me and my mom are so different. She follows what she thinks is in. Normal, highstreet clothes. Bleaches her hair blonde.
Angel is proud to be different Angel was blonde but went to a redhead and now has debbie harry styled orange hair. Angel wears medieval and lolita clothes on a dailey basis.
During highschool Angel tried to be a fashion drone like her mom and hated it. Angel also sees all these people going goth and emo because it's cool. And Angel wonders, are the people on Mene proud to be what they are or are they only doing it because it's expected?

So you want to be different, just like everyone else? Nice :p
I generally wear what makes me look good, which most of the time happens to be Abercrombie and Fitch, Old Navy, and Zara. It's just clothing i like. It has nothing to do with "what's in" i just wear styles that i like, and it happens to be like what most other people like.
I mostly just enjoy looking feminine and looking Spanish, which means i wear gold and nice clothing. It's just how we spaniards are.

I do what I do because it's cheap and affordable.
I don't really care what's fashionable or what people 'expect' me to wear. I wear what's within my budget.
I cut my hair as short as possible because I'm too lazy to comb it.
So rather than being proud of anything, I go for the lazy and cheap option as it makes me life easier.

I wear a lot of more professional clothing (not suits, but nice pants and tops) because I'm out in the business world a lot. My profession (I'm a web and graphic designer) lets me get away with quirkier things though...I put birds in my hair a lot and wear big jewelry...sometimes I even crack out my nazi boots if it's a Friday and my boss needs an ass-kicking...but I like what I wear, so it's pretty moot to me whether or not it's "in". I'd never wear anything to purposely go against the grain either; I think that's just as stupid as following a trend...shit, you're still dressing yourself with the current styles in mind...but I like clothes and I do like watching fashion trends (high-end couture, not American Eagle or Abercrombie and Fitch bullshit...they have no idea what's going on anyway), even if I don't necessarily follow them. Fashion is just another form of art.
Blah...that was a long paragraph...

To tell the truth, I just wear simple t-shirts, and an old pair of jeans. I'm what you'd call a 'Plain Jane'. I don't stick out at all.
Really, I'd like to get better clothes, but my family's broke. Dx

I wear whatever makes me look inconspicuous! SO mostly a jean jacket over some sort of long-sleeved
T-shirt! A pair of plain jeans and gray converse. If I'm not noticed, my clothing is working the way I want it to. I'm pretty shy. So this kind of clothing works great for me. I don't want to wear what everyone else does because I'm afraid of being made fun of. It seems when I try to fit in I get made fun of...sad.

I don't consider myself one out of the crowd.
I wear Preppy clothing, along with "emo" stuff too.
:o
Like right now I'm wearing a white sleeved shirt under a red striped mini polo with gauchos.
Attached I have a chain [skull icon], skull headband, skull wrist warmers and lots of bracelets.
And I'll probably end up putting a skirt over top of my pants.
Eh, thats just what I choose to where.
The labels come along with it.
And yes I love accessories.
And I have a thing with skulls.

I wish my mom would have more of a fashion sense, she's only 40 but dresses like she's 65. -.-"
Lolita clothes are pretty, but it's not my style to wear such clothes out to say..high school. xD
I go with my usual T-Shirt, hoodie, and jeans. Looks nice, and is totally conservative.

I don't think I have a particular style or not...I just dress in what ever I find is on sale lol. XD
But I guess I would fall under something like punkish..and other times I think I'm quite mod. But overall, I don't buy a TON of new cloths and I'll generally dress in what flatters my body and is comftorable.
My mom just dresses nice for her age. Nothing over the top, but nothing boring either. I honestly think she has pretty good style for a close to 50 year old woman. haha.

I wish I could wear whatever I want. Most of why I don't is the school uniform, but if I could I would wear lolita every day. Well, if I had the money.
My mom also dislikes my style. She calls it "costumey". Which is funny because she's not exactly the expert on fashion. Oh well.
Anyways, I recognize that lolita is a growing trend and soon it may be the next emo or goth. But I like it, and I don't care how few or how many people start to wear it also.

I wear the clothes that are sold at whatever clothing store I'm working at just so I can get a discount.
Right now I'm working at American Eagle, so I just buy all the clothes I like there since I get a 50% discount.

People like to be different.
People like to fit in.
This is a conflict that's hard to deal with. Especially when you're a teenager. The latter one usually wins, for the simple fact that not fitting in affects your standing in society. Teen subcultures are a way of reconciling that with an attempt to be different. And well, even the most eccentric of us are fitting in by wearing clothes at all - real 'individuals' end up in mental institutions.
Anyway. I just wear whatever I like the look of. I'm fond of old-fashioned clothing and army surplus gear - second-hand clothing is always the cheapest. Price and comfort are higher up my list of priorities than design, though like anyone else, I enjoy looking good and making myself stand out.
My mother dresses pretty normally. She constantly complains about my scruffiness, but it's yet to have an impact on me. I like my great big indestructible combat boots, dammit.

I think fashion is about meeting in the middle of fitting in and standing out. I personaly am kinda prep, but everytime I try to step outside of what I know I tend to feel akward and revert back. Emos, goths and indie kids I think are incredibly hypocritical, they say that they want to be different but really all they are doing is fitting into another steriotype.
The indie kids are the ones that really upset me, they are attempting to be individual but are doing everything the real individuals are doing. Like "Hey I am going to be a photographer and play acoustic quitar now" ;P.
I had a friend in junior high that currently lays inbetween indie/emo/punk and she always write on her nexopia and stuff how much she hates it when people switch their style, when really she did the exact same thing. Okay I am rambling, what I am trying to say is that you should do what is comfortable for and where you naturaly wander off as far as style goes.

I love what I am, I've become a better person that I was a year ago. A year ago I dressed stupid, not caring about anything. It didn't look proper. Now I dress with good clothe projecting a better image of myself.

I generally wear jean shorts or leggings in the summer with a big almost dress like shirt.
In summer I wear long jeans with a shoe string top with another see threw one over the top.
I dunno if it's still fashionable but thats what I like so I am sticking with it.

I wear what I want, not what other's want. I may wear black all day one day.. I may wear blue jeans and green the next. I'll wear cute sweaters...etc.. I don't care what people think about my sense of style. If I like something, I'll wear it. Who cares what the tv says about clothes.. None of mine are ugly..Except pajamas, but no one sees those other than family XD

I'm not really proud of how I appear.
My mom doesn't really approve of the same things I do and wont' let my buy my own clothes. Hell, she usually chooses my clothes as well. Its not that I really care, but sometimes, I wish I looked as good as the other people in school. Skinner wouldn't be that bad either.

I typically wear whatever the hell I want, aside from hollister and abercrombie and such things. I usually just wear whatever I think looks good that day. Right now I like wearing nice, warm sweaters and jeans since it's a bit nippy out.

To venture down the cliche road, I just wear what *I* think looks good and what is comfortable, and I don't give a shit if anyone else wears it. To me, trying to be different is just as bad as those who try to fit in; it's something that comes completely naturally.
