I would love to try the show out, but I think I'm far too short to do anything on there like they do..plus I don't want big muscles... Maybe I could try out for the female version, but that's pretty hard too..

To describe myself simply...I'm just a girl...Who likes other girls.

Wahh, fuyumi likes Ninja Warrior too? :'0 That's one of
the few shows I watch on T.V.! lol. I like the gas station manager.

I noticed this a lot in between seventh and eleventh grades in high school, and I'm ashamed to say that I was a part of it from seventh to tenth. However, I also noticed that as we get older, it really does trickle away. Like, did you ever see the movie Mean Girls? Now, we might not have had anything like that, but from eleventh grade to twelfth, it seemed as if everyone gave up on it all and focused more on university and other things.

But I know that's not true for everyone, and I see it still happening a lot, even in college. I wish I had the courage to tell the boy who wears a trench coat, Columbine style, with the Guy Fawkes mask to get over himself.

u.u Oh well.

(P.S., whenever I hear of all these new 'movements,' I just think of music. Indie specially because that was a form of music. That is simply stuff not put out from a major record company. x.x But emo, indie... Music doesn't define y'all kids! D: Anywho.)

I totally agree- you can't really call yourself unique if everyone else has the same style.

...I was about to go rummaging through posts to see who posted that (Heh, missing the function of a quote, for the lose...) just so I could point out that it was in a song. >_>

Anywho, I adore that song. It says lots for this topic. <3

And they say thats unique and all that jazz.. very cunfusing..
anyways..
I am myself and i am very comfable in the skin im in. So i dont wear that emo make up, or skin tight jeans or anything.. I just wear whatever i feel for that day and heck, act up when im happy, act up and laugh when im feeling sad (lauter is the BEST med..)
and then go lay down for awhile... hmm bed ^ ^
So yea uniqueness... not so much.. heck i bet theres sombody out there that acts just like me and dresses like me and everything.. theres.. like.. 9 billion people living and breathing at this very moment..Or some cray number like that @ @

Oh cool. And we both live in michigan, just different parts *has a good memory*

You like Yamamoto then? Yeah, I guess he's cool. He has been in ALL of them. Most consistant showing up, but Nagano is more consistant in the activities. I love how Yamamoto loses his hat and ends up successful. I wonder if they win any money for competeing. I've been really hoping Yamada would improve. He has, but he needs to be faster... I'm afraid all the favorites are getting old now T_T

Normal is overrated!

Normal is overrated.
Normal people think
1. they are unique
or
2. they need to fit in
I do not make a point of claiming to be different
but I agree with anyone who tells me I am.
I don't say anything, I show it.
I strongly encourage everyone to try DIY clothes.
My favorite site has tons of videos and links to other sites.
I don't care what anyone thinks of me
but I don't make a point to say it.
This sets me apart from the crowd.

I would consider myself unique, but not nesicarily in the way i dress. I like to stand out from the norm. Just those little things that make you stick in somebodys mind.
I think people would be more likly to call me quirky than unique.

As for other people, i know plenty of people who think they are wonderful and different, but are just clones of the next of their friend group. I would hate to be like that.

  • I AM TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME!

I think this quote from yourscenesucks.com's myspace page says it best:

"wouldn't it be more of an act of rebellion if you didn't spend so much time buying blue hair dye and going out to get punky clothes? it seems so petty. stop me if I'm being offensive. you wanna be an individual, right? you look like you're wearing a uniform. you look like a punk. that's not rebellion. that's fashion."

I wholeheartedly agree! Most of the people I know (not really my friends, but my outside circle of friends) think that they have something original or new. They won't admit to it, unless they're insulted or something...

They think that because they drink, listen to hard music, fall all over people and are clumsy makes them unique, special or different from other people. The reality is that they are fulfilling a high school 'girl' stereotype. I'm sorry to admit that I hate my generation, but it's true. The world would be better if I lived where conformity wasn't bad, but being yourself wasn't either.

Livia 12-06-2007 01:09 PM

I think its a waste of time to people think like that in these days. I have some what my own way of dressing but I doubt that there won't be someone out there dressing similar to me. But usually girls dress differently to me... They normally have the same clothes mines are different and I mix everything when I dress.. Like dress with pants and a shirt over it.

TheSatah 12-06-2007 02:54 PM

I don't bother to go, "Oh, I'm so different, I'm so unique~" because I don't think there truly is a "unique". xD Someone, somewhere, thinks like you do.

I just dress and act how I want to. I've been told I give off a feeling of great self-confidence and being just like... happy with myself, which is true enough.

Trying to be different is silly, especially if it gets so you're not being true to yourself just because you don't want to agree with the masses. xD I remember, when the first Spiderman movie came out, there was a girl who didn't go and see it JUST because "everyone" was going to. That's just ridiculous. Be who you are. P:
