Okay, for my math class we have to get into groups and write a song about math!
The lyrics must explain how to solve 1 step and 2 step equations and be clear. Then we have to get up and sing it!
I think that is so stupid! Why do we have to sing for math class!? It doesn't make sense! I know how to solve 1 step and 2 step equations, so why do I have to sing a song about it!?

I haven't had to do that for school, but once, in the 6th grade I think..my math teacher was explaining something and decided to get some of the students to make a pyramid or something in the front of the class. She called me up there but thankfully I had a skirt on so I didn't have to go up. ^^;;

Yeah, I think we should do a christmas carol, but I'm not so sure how my two best friends (my groups members) will react to that. Neither likes christmas much...

I agree with the christmas carol as it is now officially the christmas season. I think it'd be nice if you could do something like that. Maybe the teacher is evil and really hates you all and wants to laugh at you as you make complete fools of yourselves? nah I'm only kidding with you, I just think your teacher did it coz it'd be funny and a good fun thing to do together as a group class.

I don't think she hates us! But we have some big bully trouble makers in our class, maybe she's punishing them! haha!

My Forensics teacher is having an in-class music/poetry slam.
We have to write a song to the beat of a popular song or a poem about forensics and perform it in front of the class.
She also makes us act out skits quite regularly.
I had to do one on prostitution last month with a group of three guys...

I'm really not creative enough to write a song that actually uses real science rather than just random words that rhyme...

Yes, I've to get up in front of the class and sing a math song in front of a bunch of bullies. AT least my best friends will be up there with me to scare the bullies silly so that they don't bother me! My friends got my back! :D

It's to make math less boring!

I wish i had projects like that now. Cherish retarded projects in high school, cuz when you get to uni, all you get are 50+ page research projects T-T

The assignment is to drive home the concept - if you know how to explain something to another person then you really know how to do it- and they are trying to make math less boring.

Not everyone learns in the same way, so this may be a more effective way of learning how to do the problems for some people than regular teaching methods.

(Although I would not want to sing in front of my class . . . I'm way too shy for that)

In my English class instead of giving us the usual senior paper, she gave us a senior project which besically consists of we picka compunity service, do it, and document it.
I ended up going to a nursing home to sing for a bunch of old people... the thing is, she wants pictures of before, during,a nd after, and I am not allowerd to take pictures of the residents, so I had to take a picture of myself walking into the friggin building. >.o
And I am going to have to show the class a video of the preformance, which....really kinda sucked because my voice was dying on me and I had to do 10 songs a capella by myself... >.< *still cursing Amanda's mom for deciding at the last bloody minute that she couldn't go with me* That really furged up my day.

I also have to write a song for an english project. This doesn't bother me much because there are no bullies in my english class, I'm preforming it with another one of my best friend and it's about the Odyessy! This will be funner and nicer for a song I think!

In one of my business courses I had to do a project about budgeting for a vacation where you choose a destination and attractions and stuff. I started with how I found vacations to be a worthless waste of time and money, and therefore did my whole project on vacationing to my house, full with distance traveled between my bedroom to my kitchen to get food and things like that. It was a very cheap vacation. I failed the project.

In sixth grade we had to make a leaf collection which was only stupid because the teacher didn't teach well and didn't help us identify the leaves.
