Definitely digital, I just got a new one for my birthday, which is today! Yep I'm officially old.Anyway to get back on topic. Digital is easier and if you take a picture you don't want, you aren't stuck with it on your roll of film like regular cameras.
|
Edit.
|
If it's a camera, I'll take it! I love cameras and taking pictures of all my friends!
|
I like digital cameras, but the old cameras are great, too! For digital cameras, you can see the pictures immediately, and if you don't like the photo you took, you can easily delete it. However, with the old cameras, you have to wait to see the photos, and this is actually a good thing. Why? Because, the best picture might have been the one that was deleted, because you didn't like it at first, but you might like it months later. xD |
Digital all the way! I STILLhave rolls of film that need to be developed, but all my digital pics are up on the web for all to see! I should be less lazy and cheap and actually get them printed, but that's another story for another thread!
|
I suppose I would go for digital cameras, because they're easier and you can do nifty things with them.
Don't knock the 'traditional' cameras though, my mum uses disposables and cameras that use film and the pictures often come out better than the digital camera ones. She swears by traditional cameras and film. |

I maintain that it's a wee bit unfair to compare a single, cheap kind of film-based camera that costs about five bucks to a whole class of cameras that can range into the thousands very easily.
A more fair comparison would be a disposable 35mm and a VGA digicam. At least then the price for the digital is only twice that of the disposable. |
Digital - I've been using them more and more since I started working on the newspaper staff at school.
I've never liked disposable - felt like such a waste. |
All I've been able to afford is disposable cameras and ones that take film but I BADLY want a digi camera. ><; That way I can hook it up to the computer, make short lil movies and put funny music as the background, and just do a whole bunch of fun stuff. With disposables you take the pic hoping it turned out alright and the only way to get your pics is to pay someone else to develop them. ><; After Christmas and such I'm saving up for a digi camera because I'm tired of not being able to have the time, money, or want to develop the film I got.
|
I don't understand why anyone would choose a disposable or a film camera over a digital, in complete honesty.
Definitely digital all the way, there's no argument there. It's easy, cheaper in the long run (not to mention you can print the pictures out from your home, and put them onto your computer without even having to have them printed out), and you can pick and choose which pictures you want to keep and which you don't. No more having pictures developed with fingers over the lens, blurriness, or dark shots without anything in them. You get to see your pictures right as they're taken and know whether you'll need to try again or not from that very second. It's handy, convenient and time AND money saving. :D |
I like digital.
So many times with disposable cameras I never develope the film, it just sits there and rots away, bye bye good memories. x' D Plus I can delete a picture quickly if I don't like it, crop it, make it lighter, adjust how much light is let in, in just one (or two x'3 ) touch of a button, and record short videos. Sounds much better to me! |
I prefer digital. Disposable ones wont work for me since I usually take around 15 shots of one thing before I'm satisfied with the outcome. That and I like being able to upload them ever few minutes to see how well the full picture looks.
I like the idea of being able to change memory cards and such. I take so many pictures while I'm on vacation or at conventions that disposable ones would run out to quickly. That, and once again, I take more then one picture of the same thing. I tend to blur things with my digital camera (not so much with my mothers and younger sister's), so it'd be such a drag to get pictures back from being developed, only to find out that they're all blurred or horrible. Ah, digital cameras, I love thee. |
Digital ones...
Because they're soo much easier.. |
Digital, you can get the pics whenever you want and you can always have them on a computer in case you lose your prints. you're also creating no waste and it's cheaper in the long run. But, the only thing is that you have to print them out yourself and sometimes you don't get the same photo quality unless you buy the special paper and printer.
|
Disposable cameras are nice because you can get the real film
but I prefer digital because it's really unlimited - you don't have to keep buying new cameras and keep paying for it to be developed. You can put the pictures right onto the computer and print them out if you want - or if you really want - send them to the pharmacy and have one printed for 30 cents. That way you can print the ones you want and delete the bad ones - instead of paying to get them all printed out - even the mess-ups. I always hated when I would have two or three pictures that would come out with a thumb in the way or the flash didn't go off or whatnot. |
I like disposable cameras better because you can preview the picture. You're able to tell if it didn't turn out ahead of time so you can take another picture instead of just taking doubles to be sure like we used to have to do with disposable cameras. The only thing about digital cameras is that the pictures don't turn out as nice, like developing them or whatever unless you take them to one of those printer things in the stores, or you have one of those spiffy printers. Also the digital cameras eat batteries like crazy...
|
I tend to lose things so disposable are good. But I just got a digital camera for Christmas and I love it!
|
I like digital cameras because you can zoom in and out to really get what you want in the picture. However, I would rather carry around a disposable camera because I am always scared that I will lose or hurt the digital camera.
|
i love love digital cameras ^^
since i can actually see the result of it right away, whether the lighting is good and stuff..and i can delete it right away, those options are most important and what makes it interesting ^^ |
yeah i like digital as well. somtimes i buy disposable ones, just for fun :3
|
I like Digital Cameras, you're allowed to stick a memory card in a computer, and edit all the pictures and such. And it's a lot easier to carry around, rather then take pictures, and carry around film canisters with you in case you run out of film in your camera.
I like old school cameras too though, because it's always fun to get them developed, and flip through them, stick them in a photo album, and give them to people. I haven't used a disposable camera lately, but I really would like to pick on up and go snap some photos of stuff -smile- |
Depends on the quality of both.
A decent digital camera will more then likely be MUCH better then a disposable camera. A disposable camera cannot compensate for lighting conditions in anyway, all you can do is select different film types for it. Film that is useful in low light situations adds alot of "noise" to all your photos. |
