why do people have such a contempt for authority that...
 

they make a huge ass deal over something so little?

we were lighting our second menorah to stick in the window and my little sister started complaining that we had to say the prayer again

I told her it would take just an extra 5 seconds (it really doesnt take long), and she just scowled
when we got into the room she started her bitching again

we just kinda.. started and she sat there with a "omg why me" look on her face
I said that in that 5 seconds, instead of thinking stupid thoughts you could have at least said the prayer, its not like it would have taken any time away from her as she was in the room as this was going on, so nothing lost nothing gained right

she started bitching in that annoying tone of voice and stormed upstairs :?

This is the same girl who kept on skipping school after mom (or the school itself) caught her,
who asked to go to a different school and whined and complained about it for months on end, then decided she hated it after a week because the people dressed differently than she did, she wanted to go back to her old school
mom told her to give it one semester so she actually would see how it is, we all got endless bitching about that too; she never really gave it a chance because it was stuck in her brain that she hated it here because she was, well, treated like a new kid
she also complained about having to change schools so many times in whatever number of years... two of those changes were because she had to (moving or graduating to middle school) and the most recent was of her volition
and now she kind of complains about the school she originally came from...

god damnit, why do people do shit like this, it makes no damned sense

no spoonfeed, I'm sure you all can figure this one out
