I've done somthing like that before. My sister wanted a bowl of soup so I filled the bowl with soup and set it in the microwave. I was leaving the kitchen when my younger sister cried out"Fire!Theres fire in the microwave!"It shocked both of us!Although small the flame looked enormous with the flickering light behind it.I didn't panick though.I quickly strided over to the microwave and without thought of what to do next took hold of the handle and thrust it open!Imeditly the fire went out and I discovered the cause of the flame.A twist tie that came off our bread was left in the microwave when it was turned on!The metal had overheated and caused a flame(lucky for us it was a small flame! Our mom wasn't even home!)

When I was a child, I was playing with some matches and lit some newspapers. The fire got kinda big, and the only thing I did was cry. It was a good thing that my mother found me, and she quickly put it out. I got seriously reprimanded after that...

I never have, but my cats seem to have some back luck with that.

One of my cats sat on a candle and her little fluffy tail went up in flames. Her tail was such a massive ball of fluff that it didn't harm her any, we got to her in time to put it out. My other cat likes to warm his butt in front of our kerosene heater and one time her laid his tail on the flame. xD; Luck they never got hurt.

It was halloween, and we thought it would be the coolest thing ever.
We had some extra toilet paper lying around, so we rolled it down a hill, and drowned it with axe bodyspray, hairspray, and pretty much anything else that was flammable.
And well, it did actually light all the way down the hill, but a car came driving by and kinda spread the fire around, somehow.
The cleaning up was a total mess. :P

I hear a lot about people accidentally setting things on fire while trying to make their paper look old for projects. I used to think that would be pretty cool, but after hearing all these stories, maybe it's a good thing my school never did it. xD

I have some friends that used to do that for fun and to see the looks on other people's faces when they were on fire. They'd spill lighter fluid on their hand and them light it. It wasn't the smartest thing I've seen them do, although I have to admit, some of the looks on other's faces were priceless. Luckily, none of them every got burned. Glad you didn't either. I could imagine that leaving some serious burns if it got out of hand, you know? And that last part about your dad made me laugh aloud. xD That's funny, but messed up.

I know what you mean. That's kind of how I am in serious situations. My mom was driving and long story short, we ended up in a ditch. A really big ditch. She's freaking out and I'm laughing hysterically. And then another time, our dog was sick and I just started laughing for no reason. In no way did I think it was funny that the dog was dying, but I guess it's just what some people do. Some are totally calm, some start crying and screaming, and some lose their minds and start laughing. ._.;

Did your dad actually do it or were you just blaming it on him? xD

...A plastic pot? I don't think I've seen one of those. That's strange. Glad you guys realized what was going on though.

A twist tie? Isn't it funny how something so small can cause huge problems?

Poor kitty cats. It's good that none of them got burned though. I have a dog that will do the same thing. He backed up against our heater once and I'm sitting there sniffing the air like, 'What's burning?' And then I realized it was the dog. o_o Luckily, he only burnt his hair and not his skin as well. Silly animals.

Hahaha xD That's funny -- A few years ago, I was making a s'more in the microwave, and I didn't realize that I had dropped the twist-tie from the bag of marshmallows on the plate. I of course noticed when the paper lit on fire -- I almost had a panic attack! xD Especially since I was home alone >.> I flung open the microwave door and blew like crazy xD When my mom got home, I told her about it and she was like, "Dude, you should have just turned off the microwave! xD Cut off its air supply!" :3 But when something unexpected happens to me, I usually just shut out all... slow, logical thought processes in favor of just solving the problem in the quickest way I can comprehend at the moment xD

My uncle had an issue with the toaster when he was a kid -- but it was because a mouse lived in the bottom of the toaster xD; It started smoking one day and he almost had a heart attack because the mouse jumped out and ran across the counter and floor with stripes across its back! xD Lucky it survived, silly little thing :3

Another uncle once set the backyard on fire, come to think of it -- he decided to use fire accelerator on a grill that wasn't getting lit quick enough; the fire traveled up the stream of liquid, caught his shirt on fire, and his reaction was to throw it across the yard xD; I have some crazy ass uncles :3 Thankfully, most of the grass was dead and there was a lot more dirt than green xD; So it wasn't that serious :3

That's funny. xD I know exactly what you mean though. When something is on fire like that, it's pretty much a main priority thing and you don't have time to sit there and think about the best way to put it out. You just put it out the first way that comes into your head.
