I don't drive. D: It sucks. I don't even have my permit. ;___; I was HOPING to get it this winter break, but I was too lazy to sign up. Gah, I'm such a procrastinator. XDDD I really really need to sign up some time. D:
I think if I did drive, I might get one of my dad's vans. XDDD He has two. =O and 2 trucks. So maybe. Or maybe he'd be amazing enough and get me a car. ;D That'd be amazing. XDD But psht, dunno.

You can get your permit at the age of 15 1/2. You have to have it for like 6 months. Then you get your license. Which you have to have for a year before you can drive anyone.

What kind of car does everyone have/want?

I don't yet have a permit, but I'm taking the class in the first week of January, then I'll take the test as soon as possilbe.

I'm 15, and I'm gonna be 16 on January 22.
There's not a chance of me getting a license, not even a car. Rules are different here.
And I don't wish to have a car yet anyway.

Yes, I am currently a driver yet not a good one. I am alright I guess. Good for a new driver, at least. I practiced my driving for about a month before I took my test for my license and just barely passed with 14/15 mistakes. Haha. This was less than a month ago, by the way. Haha, and so far, I've already managed to do a bunch of damage to my car. Well, not a bunch but I broke my front right wheel when I hit a curb.

Again, yes. I do have my own car. It's nothing special, it's my mom's old car before she upgraded to a Lexus. I drive a 2004(?? - i know it's a 2000 and something) Mitsubishi Mirage. A lot of my friends love it because it's "roomie". LMAO. Oh, and because it smells nice. I am a stickler for clean cars. My car has never messy and smells like Pina Colada always.

Here in San Diego you have to be sixteen to get your permit? Maybe it's fifteen. Haha, I really don't have much of a clue. I do know you have to be at least sixteen in order to get your license. However, I didn't get mine until I turned eighteen because I have a paranoid, overprotective mother. I seriously am never home now and that is what she was afraid of.

I just got my license in October... I really don't care for driving though... Not really my thing. I didn't get my permit till I was 17. I had no need to drive when I can walk to most of the places I needed to go.

I got my permit on my birthday the year I turned 16 because that was really the only day I could go... ^^ It was November and there was a bit of snow on the ground when I started driving... It was pretty scary.

I got my license the summer after I turned 17. For me, I took driver's ed and that was pretty much all you have to do to get it, or you can take the 5 hour course and have your parent sign that you have 20 hours of driving experience.

And now I'm bummed... I got a car over the summer and there were some problems with it so I tried to get it fixed while it was under the warranty but the company is refusing. *Grumbles*

I've got my license the year that I turned 17, a few months after. It was summer so no snow or ice! =D

The day of the test was a horrible experience.
I had a drive's class right before the test, with another monitor then habitualy.
He rubbed like 6 times and very strongly(looks more like caressed) my shoulders and my thighs and he was speaking to me at 2 inches of my face! I was feeling so bad and I was so stressed, I did like all the errors I could make!!

I was so happy when that finished, I was going to cry! The night, I talk to a friend on msn (we taked the same classes) and ask her who she got like monitor before her exam, and she said the same. I asked her if he was...weird and she tells me like the same thing he was doing. What a pervert!!!

But, yeah, behind that, the test was very easy and I got my permit the first try! =D That makes like 1 years and a half and I consider myself as very good driver now! No tickets and no accidents for the moment so that's cool! XD

Also, the fact that you can't drive with you friends kinds sucks. It's a waist of gas if you drive 5 cars all to the same place. I think they should only make that law at night, just because that would be the main time people would mess around in cars, etc. But eh, not my decision.

I'm 19, am on my third car. Have had my license almost two years. Just, drive carefully, obey all road rules, and look ahead and stay the proper distance behind cars. Trust me, you can avoid accidents this way. I wouldn't know, I've had two this year *sigh*.

I think my Dad will be giving me his old stick shift car. I already learned how to drive it since he taught me.
Where I live we can drive at 16 and we have to wait a year after our permit before we can get our license. If you take an insurance course you only have to wait 8 months I believe.

Where I live, you can get your permit at 15 and 7 months, so not too bad. They require you have at least 5 months of experience before you're allowed to take the test for your license.

I don't drive, i'm underage.
I know that in my country there are driving permits/licences for some vehicles when you are 16, but I'm not sure if it's worth to get it. So generally it's possible to get licence when you are 18.
I have a lot of time.

I had my proficiency liscence come a month or so ago, and i'm due to have my first lesson on Sunday. I'll see how that goes before i take anymore.

You have to be 15½ to take your permit test here and must have it for at least 6 months.
I'm too lazy to study for my permit and go take the test, but I also have been really busy. My twin sister will have to start driving my around everywhere when she takes gets her license hopefully in February.

I drive an old pickup truck. It was the first thing I ever drove, and it was given to me as a gift when my parents bought a newer truck. She's my baby. <3

I got my permit when I was 15. At that time, in my state, you could get your permit at 15 and then could get your permit six months later or when you turned 16, whichever happened last. These days, I think you have to have the permit a full year before you can get your license and then there's a curfew on people younger than 18.

Honestly, I've been driving so long that it's just not a big deal anymore. ^^; I love the enthusiasm of people just learning. It's not just another daily chore for y'all yet. My living situation right now (it'll change in a very short while) has me driving about 60 miles a day. It kinda sucks.
