The topic title was quite hilarious. I suppose it's because I imagined how I'd say it out loud.
*feign surprise* "Oh look a present for me! And...it's from me!" What a nutcase! Anyway, I'm fond of chocolates, so I thought I'd indulge myself in some for Christmas. XD |
Edit.

hmm
well, lets see
i didnt really get myself for precicly under the christmas tree i got a cute over dress thing thats grey from Urban Outfitters thats about it, because i need to use the rest of my money to buy presents for my siblings and WHOLE family since like, everyone on my dads side of the family lives by me. |
Goodness, I wish I had the money for that. As it is, Christmas presents for myself are probably going to amount to text books for next semester of college.
Ah, but if I could? Hm. It would probably end up being something that I wanted by nobody gave me. Or some nice, new handkerchiefs in more interesting colors than red, white and blue (no, I was not trying to go for a theme, that's just what ended up happening). |
i love presents

In the past I have spent lots of money on myself that I didn't have, not for Christmas, but just because I wanted it. And now I'm in a lot of trouble with finances, and I find it hard to buy anything because I just can't justify spending money. Even the money that my mother gave me as a graduation gift is still sitting in my wallet unspent because I just can't justify spending it on anything -- I might need it for bills or something. Bah.
I could barely afford to buy gifts for others this year, so there's no way I'm going to buy something for myself that I certainly haven't earned. |
I haven't bought myself anything. xD;~
I'm thinking about it right now. ;D I'm going to go shopping in 30 mins. XDDDD |
I always buy stuff after christmas, because of the afterwintersales. xD
Though I will buy me something soon. |
Generally I think you can buy yourself things any time of the year. Of course, you can buy other people things any time of the year, but Christmas is usually the best excuse to do so. Therefore my budget is usually dictated by buying presents for others. And if there's enough left over in it for me, well maybe I'll buy myself a new game or a book or something... just to congratulate myself on my present buying ingenuity. lol
My mother had this habit of buying herself gifts that she wanted, and then giving them to me and telling me to wrap them up and give them to her as my gift. It's rather amusing :P |
I'm not going to be buying myself a present, but I've been working hard on my Animal Crossing game so that I can get a house upgrade on Christmas day. :)
Although, I did buy a pack of mints for myself while shopping for Christmas presents. Does that count as a self-gift? ^_^; |
Truthfully, I find it irritating when people buy things for themselves around Christmas time. It makes it really difficult to shop for someone who already has everything they want because when they want something they just go out and BUY it immediately. D: Like, my roommate for example. He and I went out Christmas shopping the other day, but then I realized that he wasn't actually doing Christmas shopping at all, he was looking for stuff to buy himself. Which in itself isn't all THAT bad, but when you're with someone who you know is trying to figure out something to buy you for Christmas... Eventually I just grabbed something he was going to buy himself and told him he could have it on Tuesday. :( EDIT: My mother does that to me too, Berginyon. I find it incredibly frustrating, because isn't it supposed to be the thought that counts? She goes out and buys something she wants and tells me that she got me my Christmas present to her, and expects me to just be okay with that. It's not something that I picked out for her specifically, with her tastes in mind. It's something that she found, wanted and bought for herself. That's not the way gift giving is supposed to work. :( Not to mention the fact that she even PAID for it so it in no way is really a gift from me to her at all, other than me wrapping it. :( |

I normally only buy things for myself that would be classed as stocking fillers like mobile phone charms. Although this year I did do something different where I am there is a shop that sells all kinds of things really cheeply because they've stoped making that product, it has instuructions in a different language then they stick English instructions on or there are faults on the bar code. I went in and bought two of the little display boxes of face packs and I've given them out as extras to go with the presents. So now I'm left with the ones that didn't get given out. |
I actually get to buy my own Christmas this year.My mother has no idea how to operate a computer, and that is where most of the things I wanted came from, so she gave me five hundred dollars to buy my own Christmas.I used a good portion of it to buy others presents though.

I plan on getting myself a pet cat.
Well its half from me and half from my parents 'cause they're buying the cat and I'm buying whatever the cat needs so when we all finih buying everything, it'll be around the same price  |
I bought myself something...I got a remote control nano helicopter, its lots of fun :) only cost $20(plus postage) from a discount website I'm so happy with it :)

Well...after Christmas is done and over with my birthday follows after it so...usually I have a little of my work money left from buying family and friends presents and then I usually get birthday money. So if I have enough money *I highly doubt this* I'm going to buy a PS3...reason why?...eventually Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to come out and I doubt it'll be for the PS2 so I need to space out what I buy so I have enough for the game. That and if I can't find Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii then...last resort is PS3. Oh well, it's suppose to have good games later but right now it's not doing so great...thus the major cutback on its price since Micro. and Nintendo were kicking Sony's ass in sales. Serves them right XD
|
Haha. I... sort of did.
This year, my mother decided not to go out and try to guess as to what me and my sister wanted (and probably get it wrong). So instead she took the two of us out shopping and let us pick out our own Christmas presents. Then she made us go home and wrap them up and put them under the tree. XD @MasterChiefrei-- Haha. That's because the PS3 is a piece of shit... much like the PS1 and PS2. I hate Sony. XD |
I'm constantly buying myself stuff, so it wouldn't change just because it's Christmas season. xD I buy at least one or two things every paycheck as it is. x3
|
lol my mom always buys most of her own presents :C
cuz my dad is clueless :O lawl |
Tight budget after all that spending for Christmas. I'd rethink getting anything until I'm no longer penniless. Besides, it's not like you're not getting a crap load of stuff anyways... you just don't get to pick it :P
|
I don't really buy myself a present, but sometimes it feels that way, since I pick almost all of my stuff out. xD
|
|
I did end up buying myself a Doctor Who Audio/Story CD ^^ I was at a convention and bought it, then ended up wrapping everything that wasn't taken out of my convention bag as presents (since a lot was for other family members). Apparently I had forgotten to take it out but oh well.
|
So do you plan on buying yourself a present?
hmm not really. XD What would it be? maybe a ds game or something Don't you just hate how shops over price everthing because it's christmas? oh yea. -.- that why u go to those cheap store and get the same thing for less |
