Oh look a present for me and it's from me!

Buying Christmas presents for well yourself. You buy them for everyone else so why not buy one just for you. I plan on getting broadband for myself and only myself and then getting a second landline that can't be connected to the internet for another house phone (I have my reasons for this). So I'm going to be in debt even before I can get a credit card. Joy.

So do you plan on buying yourself a present?

What would it be?

Don't you just hate how shops over price everthing because it's christmas?

Sagitar 12-14-2007 07:45 PM

I bought myself a guitar hero 3 :3 <3
who else would buy it for me?

Kongouseki 12-14-2007 07:48 PM

if i bought myself a present, it would be books and manga. >.>

i already bought myself 2 games

fuyumi_saito 12-14-2007 07:56 PM

No. I never buy christmas presents for myself. Or for anyone. I usually make things.

I don't see the point of buying something, wrapping it up for yourself, then opening it yourself, knowing what it is. It seems ...weird..

chibilady18 12-14-2007 07:58 PM

I make all my gifts but ya sometimes I make myself a pair of earing with all my friends ^.^

kimu 12-14-2007 08:07 PM

I'm pretty sure she doesn't mean that... I'm sure it's just about treating yourself.

I did mean just treating yourself but whatever floats your boat if you people out there want to wrap up your present and forget what it is then open it then do it.

fuyumi_saito 12-15-2007 02:20 AM

Lol, oh I see. No..I never really get the chance to treat myself. I used to, when I had this great(horrible but paid well) babysitting job.

That's done and over with though...bye bye yummy licorice..

  • HAHAHA I always buy myself presents. For my birthday I bought me an Ipod : ) well that's because I had to give Donna's back to her. ANYWAY...yeah some other time I got myself a PS2 for my birthday some few years ago...and...whatever...I just like presents for me ^_^

That's why I'm pretty undecided on presents this year...maybe I'll buy myself more stuffed bunnies before my ex boyfriend buys them all at his work (he works at Toys R Us) and rips off all their heads just to spite me. Yeah. I think I'll do that.

I should also add that in seventh grade I had just moved to a new house (not the one i currently live in) and was having my first Christmas there. Mom and I bought me some video games (I'm the one who chose them, Mom paid for them but since I already knew what they were, they were presents FROM me) and I wrapped them. She told me not to open them until Christmas (and I just recently told this story to Donna). I didn't listen to my mom and I was like "heck they're my games...I don't care!" So I pulled them out of the wrapping paper (it was the metallic type so it wouldn't rip and it wouldn't show signs of being opened) and just played the video games when she wasn't around. When I got bored or done with those games I just put the games back in the wrapping foil and stuffed it back under the tree. Mom never noticed : )

Sadistix_Love 12-15-2007 02:43 AM

I don't shop for myself because after I get everyone presents, I feel I've spent too much already.

Aurora 12-15-2007 03:04 AM

Well, I don't think i've ever boughten myself anything for Christmas unless I was given money for Christmas. xD lol

Lolly 12-15-2007 03:12 AM

I'm going to the Mall after Christmas and thats when I buy my own Christmas Gifts for myself.
I don't see the point either in wrapping gifts you already know what it is.
My mother is giving me a watch and I was with her when she bought it.
She told me she'd wrap it and set it underneath of tree.
I can wait until Christmas to receive it but, really whats the point in wrapping and then opening something when you already know what hides inside?

woopdidoodoo 12-15-2007 10:34 AM

I am buying myself some piano sheet music
coz my fiance is buying me a keyboard as I used
to play piano and want to get back into it again.
Its a Christmas and birthday combined prezzie from
him as we've had it on layby since October which was
when my birthday was. So thats what I am buying myself
and maybe some cd's

dessertdesiert 12-15-2007 03:35 PM

>.< I don't have the money to buy myself things.. I actually just use the money that I get for my birthday to buy others gifts for christmas >.<

Kalium 12-15-2007 05:44 PM

Buying presents for myself? I do it more often for my birthday than anything else. I have bought some gifts for my family, though.

Eh, my mother used to do that for me too. Its point is usually sentimental--everyone usually likes for everyone to have many, many presents underneath the tree. :3 It looks nice, too.

Rissa 12-15-2007 07:37 PM

I just got my parents to give me money so that I could buy whatever I felt like, since I'm going on vacation soon. Then I can find some nice cute things. ^^
So, I suppose that technically counts as buying my own presents.

Sosharrenee 12-16-2007 02:33 PM

I bought myself a new purse. I would buy more but I need to use the rest of my money on other people.

Hidari 12-16-2007 03:19 PM

I really want get myself Tigermilk by Belle and Sebastian.

I even have 20 extra dollars.

But I'd feel bad if I'm getting something for myself when I still need to buy for others. D:

Amo_Angelus 12-16-2007 03:20 PM

I bought myself another bunny rabbit.

Angelin 12-16-2007 04:21 PM

I bought my Christmas present already and since my parents are having really bad moments (a.k.a. Money issues.) I ended up buying Guitar Hero 3 for myself this Christmas.

Krystyne 12-16-2007 06:23 PM

Well, most of my Christmas shopping (for others 8D) is over, and the rest of the money's going toward a new PC for me, so...^^; Probably no "for me, from me" gifts this year...unless I buy a huge pack of candy and hoard it.

Addielyn777 12-22-2007 02:07 AM

I never have thought of that! Maybe I'll spend my money on a digital camera!!!

Aisha Woku 12-22-2007 02:09 AM

I don't have any extra money to buy myself a present. x_0
