I fond out about 2 days ago that my boyfriend got all the accounts related to his banned, which includes mine, so now I am having game withdraws and he's next to me playing call of duty four that I got him for Christmas.
I guess its a good thing I'm banned because maybe I will get a new hobby and go out side or something, lol.
It still sucks though.

Anyone else got any similar problems?

Aww... Sorry to hear. I've never actually played WoW, but a few people are absolutly addicted. Maybe it's a good thing. Who knows?
Haha, I had something similar happen to me. I got hacked on gaia, and sometimes I go on and try to log on. Then it hits me... lol Then I get mad. Weeee

I'm sorry to hear you got hacked on Gaia D: that sucks.
I do think it's a good thing I'm banned but it still makes me sad because I worked hard for those little pixels on there D:

  • WTF how did y'all get banned? That's not cool : ( But I don't play WoW...my ex used to and so did his brother. I think they got sick of paying for it because we're all in college now.

How did you get banned? O___O;
Well, this has never happened to me before.
The closest thing I could probably relate to is having my internet cut off, and having my account locked for 15 minutes for repeated failures.. ;-;

Yeah I got banned for something really stupid actually, My friend was giving my hubby his account because he does not want to play anymore so they changed the info to my hubbys email and all that stuff and since my account was on his email (we shared an account before we both had one) and my friends account was associated with his email now they decided there was a threat in information change so they banned it to stop further activity in case it was a hacker.
I think our accounts are salvagable but you know, after paying 30 dollars a month to play, (both our subcsriptions) I'm not too sure I want to go spend whatever its going to cost to get Notarised for both of us and our friends account.
BLizzard is already taking enough from us as it is.
Maybe I will find a new game to play instead. One that dosent cost this much to play.

Yeah, I think i'm pretty much done with pay-to-play games.
They always end up costing more then you want to spend.

Be careful! The sun may burn your skin. I played WoW once, it was so addicting... If you ever get the chance to make an account, you're probably going to be like, "Pfft, that game was stupid anyway." So I wouldn't worry about it much.

Keep your account information secret

Account sharing is against our TOU. All too frequently, scamming and account hacking can be attributed to sharing an account. While you may develop strong online friends and ties, any time you share your information with another person, the security of your account is seriously compromised.
so the Act was stupid
but certainly not the Ban. that was Legit in its Right.

I've never had that happen to me, so I don't really know how that stuff goes. ^^; That's pretty crappy that all your accounts got banned for it though. =( What level were you guys at? Because if you had some 70's then man I feel sorry for you. Dx

I play WoW and I've heard of things like that but it's never happened to anyone I know, so I guess we're all pretty careful about that sort of stuff. That sucks that they banned it just because of an information change though. Isn't there something you can do, like e-mail someone from Blizzard to get your accounts back up and running? It seems like there should be some way around it... but I guess that's just if you want to keep playing. Thirty dollars a month is quite steep. That's why I'm trying not to get addicted to any other online game other than just WoW. My friend keeps bugging me about FFXI, and I tried it, but I'm lucky I didn't like the controls and stuff, because fifteen a month is more than enough for me. >.>

Good luck finding a game that you don't have to pay to play and that has nice graphics and stuff, though. I think WoW is one of the best ones out there. There's always Hellgate London, but that's not like WoW... it's more of, maybe Diablo? o.o It is free to play though, and the system requirements aren't as steep as other games these days. I dunno. Dx

Oh if you mean the keep info to yourself, when I said me and my boyfriend share an account, it's because we live together, we share everything so that had nothing to do with it. Unless you mean his friend giving him his account?

It was all a big stupid thing but I think I'm over it.
I'm really sick of games doing this to me for some lame loophole ban >( I guess its really their own fault now for losing 3 good customers customers. ^^

I played Stormscale My 70's names were "Lillixa" - 70 Undead warlock
"Neiima" - 70 Tauren Druid

And my level 52 is "Buzee" on Stromreaver server.

Yeah it was a dumb move on their part, I had no say in it D:
I would have no use for a second account, I have enough trouble keeping up with one let alone 2 O_o

I dunno I just didn't see the need for another account, we already had my own and his account. I think he was actually trying to get the other account to give to my little brother for Christmas, guess that didn't work out well.

Hm... I remenber getting banned from one old silly RP that I wasn't really into. The problem was that I had registered more than one account from one and the same IP address. I did it because I forgot the previous password xD

Gaia does that stuff to.
They'll ban up to 100 accounts at a time that are related by trade and IP activity.

I am a victim of that. They banned me and 8 of my friends for "Botting and hacking"

I've known people that have purposely banned themselves from sites in order to cure their addiction. I find that temporary bans can get you a little more involved in your real life, but they just feel blecky. I've never played WoW, so I can't relate as much to your situation. ^_^;

I'm addicted to gaia, still. And growing addicted to Mene. I love it here.
I think the closes I've ever come to being banned was for about 15 minutes cause I had forgotten my password/email. And I have tons of different passwords so I had to go through each of them. >.<
