Why do you love someone?
 

It's an odd question, yes...but I am curious. There are people in the world who make us happy, and people in the world with things in common with us, but...even when someone falls into both of those categories, we don't always love them. I can think of one person who makes me happy sometimes, but I don't really like her that much. I can think of a few people I have things in common with, but I hate them. I can think of a few who fall into both categories who I like as dear friends, but I definitely wouldn't say that I love them in a romantic sense.

So...what is it that makes you love someone? What are those little things about someone that makes you think of them on a completely different level than most? Something in their appearance? Background? Mannerisms? A combination of various factors? To put it simply - where would you draw the line between close friendship and a romantic relationship?

I'm very curious about this. :3

I love my girlfriend because she's always there for me when I need her.
I can always talk to her about anything, not only negative things but positive things aswell.
Even when we have fights, we always make up just like nothing happened and learn from our mistakes to prevent fights from happening.
I love my girlfriend because we have so much in common and we can always laugh together.
She's there for me when I'm down and I'm there for her whenever she needs me for anything.
That's why I love my girlfriend. :)

To be completely honest, I'm not quite sure why I love my boyfriend. I just know I do and it's real love. His personality matches mine up pretty perfectly, he makes me smile and laugh all the time, and we just enjoy each others' company a lot. We're both pretty clingy (I had been looking for someone just as clingy as I am for a long time, and he's pretty close... usually guys aren't clingy at all and I was always upset about something xD ), we both game. We care deeply about each other.
I dunno, it just works, haha.

I love people because, even if we have stuff in common we get along and have fun with each other. It's being able to just be around each other and not feel awkward and to be able to be yourself around them with no boundaries. It's being able to mess around with them. To have fun by just talking or have fun by doing something extreme together. My boyfriend and I have SO Much in common - and honestly - even though we do - sometimes our happiest moments together are when we just lie on his bed, cuddle, and talk. It's such a nice moment. And we think the same things - we can finish each other sentences sometimes or read each others thoughts. And we have fun doing other stuff like going to the movies or a theme park or to a festival or to dinner together - but we also have fun staying home and watching a disney movie, playing rock band, and cuddling. To be able to be around each other, be who we are together with nothing limiting ourselves - it makes me love him even more. I can be crazy, I can be the weird little me around him and he thinks it's adorable. Same with him to me.

My best friends and I - we always hang out together - even if it's just to have lunch together inbetween classes. But we have fun either way - we have avatar nights with pizza and brownies or project runway wednesdays together. We go to different events on campus together. At home (we come from the same place too) we hang out and sleep over at each other's houses. and it helps too that my boyfriend is also one of THEIR great friends as well. and so we ALL hang out..ALL the time...and never get tired of each other.

Besides the physical aspect, I don't think there is a difference between a close friendship and a romantic relationship. So I guess the only line is it's not a good idea to have sex with your friends.

They do things like listen to you, trust you to listen to them, have confidence in you even when you don't, you bring out the best in each other, and something about the way you click...you understand each other and are still friends.

It's always a great topic opener when talking with someone. (my boyfriend puts underwear on his head when he has a headache. Dummy.)

I love my boyfriend because he makes me a happier person just by being around him. ^___^

there are a lot of reasons why I love my fiance :3
the more I know him, the more I love him. I can't think of another person who would make me feel like I can be TOTALLY myself other than him :3 no one before, not even a member of my own family.

love... i think it's a foolish thing created in this world... i believe the world would have been better off without it... probably since some lack it...

Oh Demonic Vampire, that is so depressing. You should think postively! Everybody loves, even if they don't realize it. There's somebody I likle in the school. It took me a while but I realized how much of a charm he really was. Now all I'm waiting for is the chance to make a move. I love mysterious guys, they are so awesome. They give you a little bit of a challenge too!

That's so sweet! I love hearing people say they love their friends. It really gets over the constent boy/girl relationship kind. I have no probelm with that either. I believe a lot of people have their own definition of love.
