I am allowed to buy things off the internet if I use my prepaid Visa card. I got money for my birthday and my parents asked me if I wanted it as cash or as a card. I chose the card.
I bought a three month sub for deviantART, 1000 Gaia credits, and did some Christmas shopping with it. Except now I can't find the card and I still have like $30 on it. I would still know were it is if my mom didn't make me clean up my room. I can never find anything after I clean. :( |
Just about everything I buy is bought via the internet. It's easier and everything I want is there. Dad got me a checking account so I could hook it up to paypal and use that all the time. My mom shops on the internet as well. I think it's pretty much the norm nowadays to shop on it.

My grandparents also shop online, as does my mother. My aunt does too, and so does my uncle. |
My parents never let me buy anything off the internet unless it's for a good reason. I don't get an allowance, so I end up saving the money I get from my birthday and what not in my bank account or spurging it on the randomest stuff. XP
I'm waiting until I'm old enough to get some sort of credit card. Dx |
My mom just won my Wii on eBay for me last month. My mom actually shops online more than I do... I mostly just donate to gaia V_V;;
|
I dont' find it necessary to shop online. However, when it comes to christmas presents or birthdays I save websites, with my sizes and what I want for my parents/family so that they get me what I want and I make shopping easier on them. Actually this year I got a yoda backpack, from www.thinkgeek.com its so sweet.

My mum seems to have this intense fear of the internet. She won't let me shop on the internet (only for work or enrollment purposes) and she doesn't open up to the idea of internet banking.
SO the only things I ever brought on the internet is two work shirts and even then she made me check to see if there was any other way to purchase them. (ah what she will do so that the washing doesn't have to be done every night) |
I buy nearly all of my clothes, books, ect off the internet. Will be ordering my Nikon D40x online soon. Got my pen tabby off the webs. Ect. Better selection of clothes and bootsies off of Hot Topic website than any Hot Topic store near me. So it's much nicer <3 |
hahaa. might eb a tad late but im sometimes allowed.
depending on what, ive gotten like 2 memberships or something and a phone and stuff off ebay. my parents dont mind unless they know we wont use the money spent. though i usually pay them back, so its all good. :D |
I have my own credit card and if I want something I buy it. My mom used to lend me her credit card for concert tickets since that’s the only thing I had to have that I could only buy online without standing in a line. Now I buy all kinds of things online just because I can, but I really need to learn not to spend so much. Internet shopping makes me spend more than I realize in such a short period of time. It’s a good thing I only have a $500 credit limit. XD

My mom doesn't like me shopping online. And she hasn't gone through with what she said and get me a bank account, so I don't have the option of just bypassing her and doing it myself.
Really the only thing she has bought for me was my Nintendo DS, which was only because it was for my 16th birthday, and none of the stores in the county had them in stock. I'd like to get my own bank account, though. Then I'd actually be able to do things like donate to Mene. |
Me and my mum both shop on the internet. It's where I get most of my tops and shoes.
Actually, just now, Me and my mum were shopping on American Eagle for tops. We're both the same size, so we just order things that we both like and share. I also order games and DVDs online. And action figures! And... my mother and I both love eBay. I get a lot of cool stuff off of there. |
Kurai: Yeah. That's kinda like my mom and I. We're the same size, and if we want something we share. =D
|
I've brought books, dresses, jeans, camera...
I really don't like it, but it is far easier when you're mega busy :[ |
Man I wish I had a debit card or something.
Then I could just buy stuff on the internet whenever I wanted. But no, I pretty much never buy stuff on the Internet 'cause it's so inconvenient. |
My parents are very low-tech to the point that they can't even access their emails by themselves. So, even though many items are cheaper on the Internet, my parents still won't let me buy them. They don't know the existence of paypal, and think that everything on the Internet is a scam and will rip you off.
...in short, they won't let me buy anything. D: Wait 'til I get a debt card... |
Never bought something from the internet before, and never felt the need to. I live close to the shopping center. <3
|
My parents would never let me do internet shopping....even if I pay them back. D<
There are so many good things to buy. T___T Like hand-made panda hats. D< |
I've had a debit card for quite some time now, and I shop online every once in a while. Pretty much all the Christmas shopping I do is online, since my friends all listen to Jrock and the only place I can find all the indies bands are on sites like CDJapan. I also buy things every now and then online also, but it feeds into my Jrock obsession more than anything else, so yeah. Everything else I buy is always irl.

Do your parents let YOU shop on the internet?
Yes though they warn me of the dangers and all that... that aside, I shop with my own hard earned money. If they let you shop, what have you bought? I have bought lingerie, movies, manga, computer parts, console games and much more. It is fun really, but I make sure to save money for the long terms needs rather than spend it all on the short term wants. |
OMG I LOVE POCKY ^.^ hahahaha yummy. I dont buy things off of the internet much because my dad hates it but my mom will let me get some stuff sometimes becasue she doesnt mind it at all ^.^ i recently bout a bunch of stuff off of hottopic and it should be here tommorow weeeeee =D

Does buying thing like " Monthly Items " is considered shopping ?
If so , then i wanted to buy MI on Gaia but my parents didn't let me so i went to a store that sold these card with GaiaCash on it and my parents totally let me buy them. i have no idea why they don't let me buy thing on internet but they let me buy thing in the real world |
I really want to get the Brooklyn soundtrack, (it's a Broadway musical) and the music is absolutely amazing, but the only way you can get the cd is online though. And my mom won't use her credit card or pay pal to get it for me. I swear, when I'm old enough to apply for pay pal, that's what I am going to get.

I do shop on the internet a lot.
Case in point: Donation items on here and on Gaia. I also do a bit of clothes shopping...my Playboy Bunny costume from last Halloween. Book shopping for school - College textbooks for less?? Hell yeah I'm buying those! CDs - Donna just ordered me the soundtrack to Zombie Prom for Christmas and I've been listening to it ever since. Garden seeds - Because I can and I like planting things. Celebrity photos - This is the most weirdest thing I've bought...because I like a celebrity and I bought promotional photos of him. So what? What I NEED to do is order some stuff for cosplay - wigs, fabric, steel boning, and the like that I can't usually get direct from stores. I'd also like to add that my MOM taught me how to do this, by paying her bills online XD She pretty much knows I shop online...for books. Everything else she doesn't know *shh* and I like to keep it that way :P Then again, growing up I've mail-ordered some pretty weird things. Like a box of cookies from a Frosted Flakes promo when I was six. And membership to the Lisa Frank Club when I was seven. |
xDDDDD
That was funny. Hmmm, well I don't think my parents would mind me buying Pocky or food in the internet, just because.... well money doesn't grow on trees nowadays. O.O And the fact that you can get those in the store makes it a little bit... yeah. My parents have to be practical and everything. XD I think the most I can do is buy clothes and shoes online. But games and other stuff is different. I mean my parents already give me "the look" when I buy a ps2 game in gamestop. O.O |
