All right, Tooth Brushes, No Hanky-panky while I'm asleep!
So yeah...Last night after I brushed my teeth, I said that before leaving the bathroom. I have no idea why I said that XD It just sort of...Came out, I guess. So have you ever said something similar without thinking, or meaning to?

The other day, I was walking through the house talking baby talk to our stove. I think I spend too much time alone with my daughter. I also talk to the TV a lot. They don't ever reply, though.

I mostly talk to inanimate objects like you would talk to a dog. For instance, I once had a book that didn't seem to want to stay on the shelf (kept falling) - as I was backing away from the bookshelf, I caught myself saying this:
"STAY! Stay...NO, STAY! Yes, good book! Good boy!" That's only one example...I've had roughly the same conversation with many other inanimate objects around the house. And yes, I do assign all of them a gender. ^^; |
I often find myself doing that too.
Especially at my PS2 which is currently collecting dust because I got so fed up with it. It just hates my games. All of which I wanted to play at that... So cruel. ; ; And I call my PS2 one on perpetual PMS. ._.; My PC has a name too. Does that count? |

I think out loud to myself a lot and talk to my animals and the animals at work a lot of the times. I’ve had people I work with asking what I said when I was thinking out loud before. This one time I was telling a rat not to move the bedding in her habitat and a coworker was right there and thought I was telling him not to move the bedding on the shelf that was right behind me.

and other times i also yell at my video game because i swear it WANTS to make my charcter die D:< |

I will talk to my cat. He acts human sometimes, he likes to lay with his head propped up, like he is sitting up. I also yell at the TV and computer if they do not work correctly.

If I talk to someone after talking to my boyfriend I'll accidently call them "love" or "sweet" or something along tha nature - I've called my friends that and my mother. It's really funny actually - sometimes they get it - and other times it passes over their heads and they don't realize I said it. lol. I also do that after talking to my cat as well.

I occasionally start to think out loud and stop myself after a few words, which is very confusing to anyone who may be listening. I also have a reputation for yelling at my computer when it runs slowly or crashes.

I talk to my video games alot. Especially if I'm getting frustrated. Like "Why won't you DIE, bitch?!" or "Really don't have time to fight you right now..." or if I'm pissed off at one of my characters, because they're not doing something I want, I tend to start cussing them out. XD "Fuck you, Dagger..." "Dammit Eiko! Not what I told you to do!"
Or sometimes I'll respond to things that people said in the game. Mostly stuff like "Don't care... Doooon't caaare.... Shut up, I don't care!" I tend to be verbally abusive towards games. XD And of course I talk to my pets. ^^ But my cat is deaf and my dog never pays attention, even if you're standing next to him and yell his name. XD |
I'm pretty sure everyone, at some point in their lives, has talked to an inanimate object. I have a habit of talking to electronics when they give me problems. But not just talking to them, I like...full-on argue with them. Seriously.

And I apologize to desks when I bump into them. It's just a reflex, you know? |
I talk to lots of inanimate objects and animals. They usually make a lot more sense than people do. Especially when they say nothing in reply xD
I was out walking my dog once and stepped on a stick and I said "Sorry Mr Stick" then I thought ...why did I say that? o_0 I often talk to my PC, George, too. Mainly telling him how good he is, as I don't want him to crash and die like my previous computer, Fred, did. I used to talk to my old car too. He was called Kevin and he was lovely. I'd stroke the paneling on the dashboard and tell him how lovely he was o_o I got so upset when he was beyond repair I couldn't bear to get rid of him, so I've kept him and he's sitting in the corner of our car park. No longer suitable for driving anywhere other than up and down the drive, but I still pat him and talk to him when I go past him. He's starting to go a little green due to lack of use and being covered in leaves for so long :/ I still love him though. My new car's not named yet or talked to as I don't like him. He's not Kevin ._. |
I named my chickie slippers. <__<;
They look like the panda slippers, but they're chickens. D: Anyways, once I slept over at a friends and I was sure my slippers were in a different place when I found them. They were sort of slanted and under a blanket. So, my friend decided that they were kanoodling all night. XD We yelled at them a lot that day, life if I tripped it's because they wanted to be closer. <3 |

usually ill say it to my handphone ( when i used it as an alarm clock )...id say "alright, dont forget to wake me up tomorrow! or ill throw u into the wall"... |
When I turned off my computer last night, before I walked out of the room I just stoof there looking at it and said..
"Goodnight! No eating my files while I'm asleep. ;__;" And once, after dinner, i was reaching for a cookie for dessert but my parents wouldn't let me, so I swore to myself that I'd get one later when they weren't looking so half-way down the stairs I looked back up at the kitchen, where my parents couldn't see nor hear me and I pointed to the cupboard with the Cookies treasure in it and said, in a sleezy pick-up voice, "I'll see YOU, Later" ;D And I winked. When I finally got down the stairs I just kept thinking to myself. "What the hell was that? o___0;; |

I yell at Photoshop a lot when it isn't doing what I want it to. XD
In fact, I yell at anything when it doesn't do what I want to. I also frequently talk to my dog and my iPoodle. |

I instinctively say sorry to inanimate objects when I bump into them sometimes. I usually don't talk to the tv, but I was watching CSI: Miami a while ago, the episode after Eric Delko got shot, and I kept going "NOOOOOOOO. DON'T DIE. ERIC CAN'T DIE. NOOOOOOOOOOO!" My mom and my brother gave me weird looks and told me it was just a tv show. -_______- |
lols over the holidays all my cousins were over & we watched toy story cus all my lil cousins wanted to watch it.. & i got reminded of how i would tell all my hulala girls dolls & toys that its okay to talk in front of me. & i would close the door & look under it to see if they would move or talk while im gone hahahaha :P

I don't know about inanimate objects, but sometimes I'll talk to my cat depending on what she's doing, eg. "What? Why are you looking at me like that? Why do you keep meowing at me?" etc. (<3 that cat...) Sometimes I'll talk to our dog too, but mostly if I'm the only person in the house and she starts following me around. o.o;

Oh of course! And, like Fullmetal Phantom, I do it mostly like I would talk to a dog. "No..STAY. STAYYY. Good book." or "Cmon..Keep going..YEAH! GOOD WATER! YOU BOILED!" Edit: Along with Lovvy, I very much yell at stuff when it's pissing me off. Especially photoshop and painter xD Do you guys think I'm too hard on my poor inanimate pwogwams? |
