Oh but the boys yeah it can be disgusting because
once I think I saw one boy with a whole
in his undies. Now, I can't judge the guy I am
crushing on because his pants also do it, but
not as much and he seems to cover it all the time.

However, I guess fashion is important and that
is our high school fashion.

Breakfast 01-12-2008 12:55 AM

I personnely believe , that some people put there pants low for many reasons
Such as..
- Fashion
- Look like a gangster
- comfort

I dont mind people wearing low pants , it's there style of wearing clothe.

Krystyne 01-12-2008 01:00 AM

I HATE seeing people's underwear. In Psychology a couple semesters ago, this guy ALWAYS wore his underwear and pants below his crack AND sat in the front...and the one time he didn't, he had on a shirt with girls' bethonged butts on the back of it. T_T

My psychology teacher told us that part of the origins of low, baggy britches comes from the prisons...where homosexuals wear them like that to let others know they're up for...well...you know. <<; That's just what she said, but I guarantee, if you told guys who wear them like that that little story...

Wynna 01-12-2008 04:36 AM

@ Krystyne- I have never even heard of that before. Interesting though.

Easther_Bunni 01-12-2008 04:52 AM

I agree with the posters before me, it makes guys look sloppy and girls look really slutty. Although it is funny when guys trip or their pants fall down because of it.

@Krystyne: Hahaha oh wow. The guys at my school thinks it makes them look gangster. If they only knew....

Arie 01-12-2008 04:55 AM

Ugh, I hate it when guys low-ride. It's just plain tacky.

Aeisha 01-12-2008 05:25 AM

I don't really look at them anymore. Though I do wonder how they manage to walk properly with there pants around their ankles. It looks horrible and it's even worse when they try to pull them up and straighten up because then it really doesn't help at all.

EvanStone 01-12-2008 06:55 AM

Girls think people being able to see their underwear makes them sexy, and depending on the girl, it does. Usually it doesn't though...

What about those of us who wear tight pants? Don't we get any credit for not showing off everything? No, we get beat up for wearing "girl pants". I guess what my question is, what pants are good pants to wear, eh?

whitebeast 01-12-2008 07:05 AM

You know this could actually make a really good study in Psychology. Just why do people like to show off something that society would dictate should be hidden and be considered private?

People have mentioned that it's gross and it's degrading for whoever who practices it. Men who do it look awful, women who do it look slutty/easy.

Though I wonder if those thoughts are just sex-defined in the present time. Reading up on the gay men in prisons wearing their pants low to hint about their preferences really got me thinking.

Is it possible for men to do it to show their eagerness for sex -regardless of their sexuality/gender- and women to do it because they feel gangsta?

Hmm. Your topic only made me think/reflect and come up with even more questions. @[email protected];

TO MY REPLY THEN...

I'd like to think it's an act of rebellion to the norms. Some call it sexy, dumb or even gangster.

Why be prim and proper when you can be sloppy?

Why wear a belt when you can choose not to?

I think people are tired of conforming and simply wish to do something different/out of the box.

Regardless of the consequences or what people think about them. It's an act of deviance.

Most of the guys I went to high school with wore their pants low with some of their boxers showing, but it wasn't past their asses or anything. Another thing about it was that you couldn't even see their boxers because their shirt was covering it. Might I add, they aren't always oversized t-shirts. I think it's just very tacky when guys wear their pants so low that the waistband is on their knees and it makes them walk funny. But come on now, no one does that anymore. XD We left that behind in the good ol' 90s.

As for the girls wearing low-rise jeans and thongs, I really don't see a problem with that. If they have a nice body and the confidence to go with it, let them wear what they want. Some girls are comfortable in baggy clothes that cover everything, some girls are comfortable showing off what they got. Body confidence does not make you a slut! D:<

As for girls and their thongs showing, it's a confidence thing. You only wear those kinds of jeans that show off the thong if you are really confident about what type of thong it is and how confident you are that it looks good on you.

Don't ask me why, that's just my opinion about it^-^

THANK YOU. I wish I read your post sooner. XD

blu_sour_skittle 01-12-2008 08:26 AM

I hate it when I can see someone's undies, boy or girl. I hate it even more when I can see crack. I can understand sagging the pants a little bit, but there is a point when it just gets ridiculous.

I mean, come one, what is attractive about that? Personally, it SO does NOT turn me on to see the string that you ride up your arse-crack. Nor do I want to see your boxers because your pants are dangling about your knees. No wonder you're always late to class; you can't walk properly.

I may wear low-rise pants, but you can neither see my undies nor my crack. It makes me uncomfortable to think that someone could.

s w e e t 01-12-2008 08:37 AM

ahaha...my most favourite guy loves to do that ;__;
cant help it though, luckily he has a nice butt XDD

Caroline 01-12-2008 08:56 AM

I have nooo idea.
It doesn't even seem comfortable.
Thank God it's all become less mainstream.

Jax 01-12-2008 09:07 AM

I always thought those look hot on a guy, but not too low when it's showing your ass crack. xDDD
Just enough to find the rim of your pands. 8D

Sagitar 01-12-2008 12:05 PM

I don't like it either, but jeans today are so damn low that unless you can find low cut thongs you have serious problems sitting with them xP unless you have a long shirt.. I usually try to wear either one of them.. or just pull my pants up constantly and thongs down.

I hate normal panties, there's something about them that just doesn't fit my ass xD

Metal Pandora 01-12-2008 03:52 PM

Frankly, I don't care if it's a confidence thing. I don't want to see your freaking thong. Sometimes this happens on accident, but most girls do it on purpose.

Back when I was in high school, girls did this kind of thing all the time. Listen, it's fantastic that you have a Hello Kitty thong, but I don't need to see it and neither does anyone else. I used to sit behind this girl in one of my classes that always wore these super low-rise jeans and her underwear would bunch up at the top. I thought it was pretty funny.

tight pants on a guy = very sexy in my opinion 8)

aphrodite remix 01-12-2008 04:00 PM

Naw I like long tank tops/tube tops that I wear under all my clothing, which are normally hoodies, or graphic tees. As for pants, you can normally find me buying anything plaid and in the mens section. If I have to buy girl pants, they're jeans, normally low rise cuz they're comfy, but because all my shirts go past, or at least halfway down my rear I dont' have to worry about showing anything unpleasant.

It is annoying though when I see guys with their pants down their ass, and all yo usee is their boxers. Same goes for girls that have their thongs hanging above their pants... its basically just an invitation, and there are more subtle ways they can hint at the opposite sex.

Thunder 01-12-2008 05:22 PM

I've seen guys do it so much that it really doesn't bother me any more. It's actually rather amusing if they've got interesting boxers. But seriously, it's just not practical and it doesn't make them good-looking. As I said earlier, it's amusing. It makes you look funny, not hot. People are laughing at you because you look like an idiot, not because they're trying to get your attention 'cause you're just so damn smexy. xD

As for girls, I haven't seen any that purposely wore their thongs hanging out. Of course it's happened occasionally where their pants rode too low on accident, but that happens to everyone at one time or another.

I don't wear thongs except for special occasions, so I don't have to worry about my crack hanging out. You can see the edge of my regular panties sometimes though because I do wear lowrise pants and it's inevitable that they'll ride a little too low every once in a while. (Anyone that says they won't and can keep their panties covered every second of the day is a liar. xD ) It's a peeve of mine when pants comes up too far on my waist. I haven't been able to wear high pants since I was a kid. I'd always roll them down, much to my mom's annoyance. It just feels so wrong and bugs me. ._.; Dunno why.

Cheya 01-12-2008 05:50 PM

Many of you guys sound more immature than the people wearing their stuff low and that is a fact. It reminds me of how my sister's kids scream eeeew whenever they see nudity or partial nudity or god forbid undergarments and it reminds me that they were taught SHAME. Later on they will learn all these other views and adopt them without question.

Edit: Oh and I hate granny pants... it makes me feel like a little dork and I never feel good wearing them. They are ugly as sin too and this is why I like thongs, v-strings, teddies, baby dolls and stuff like that--imaginative. Some of the designs and stuff to come out of those will always, my mind, trump regular plain underwear.

Metal Pandora 01-12-2008 06:11 PM

How are they immature? No one's screaming "EEEW GROSS PANTIES."
Just because some people don't appreciate seeing other people's underwear hanging out doesn't make them immature. Everyone has different values.

EDIT: I also think it's amusingly ironic that I was discussing this while my avatar was naked

Dystopia 01-12-2008 07:21 PM

I honestly don't understand the point of having your pants hanging at your knees. No one is interested in seeing your boxers, and how is it possible to move without having them fall down? Wasn't that extremely embarrassing in the past? I guess some people think that it looks cool, and I agree that loose pants are better than spandex, but when I can see all of the boxers, THAT is where I draw the line.

life in red and black 01-12-2008 07:35 PM

At a mall around where I live, a family got arrested because they were banned in the summer from the mall for wearing baggy pants.

It's on Fox news : http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,319485,00.html

I work at different mall and these police and security guys are a bit too strict in their attitude towards the baggy pants. Especially since they stop our customers and make them lift their pants up (or get kicked out) right before they were going to pay for their food (happened so many times). At least wait until they pay us first!! It has scared my parents quite a number of times that our customers would get kicked out of the mall before they could pay... then the food would go to waste.

DJAmai 01-12-2008 07:42 PM

I personally hate the fact girls and guys show off their underwear.
I mean, if they can't keep their pants up walking around in public, who would think they'd keep them on n your house or on the first date?

It originated in prison, it was a symbol that you were gay and single. So.. If you wear your pants down like that I"m going to tell you that, because hopefully you will pull them up and keep them up.
