That's cool...but kinda creepy at night, eh? Has it been remodeled, or does it still have it's awesome 19th century look? ( I like the victorian ones even though they're creepy at night. So pretty~ ) XDDD

I'm not sure when ours was built. My dad told me it was about 50 years old, a few years ago. We're the second occupents as far as i know, and my parents have lived there for about 25 years.

Sensible Scribbles 01-18-2008 08:41 AM

Hmm.. Our house is about 20 years old... ^^

Javert 01-18-2008 01:23 PM

My house was built twenty five years ago, back in the early 1980s. I wish it was an older house, though- I love the way older houses look. Especially Victorian houses. :)

Our house is only ten years old. And we're its first owners. We bought it before it was completed, and we moved in as soon as the construction was complete.

I think my house is somewhere between seven and eight years old. I remember we had it built when I was in seventh grade, because we could finally afford to move into a nicer house than the one we were living in before.

Kazzy1231 01-18-2008 02:33 PM

About twenty,just under or over.

I live in a immobile home and it's eight or nine years old. I don't remember. It's in really good condition though. =]

20 years old...wow that is old

Shrimp_Man 01-19-2008 11:16 AM

I living in an apartment building and personally, I feel that it was built in between the 50s and the 70s just because of the fact that the rooms are pretty spacious and nowadays you mostly see apartments that are basically tin cans because the architects built them more to benefit the owners. Less space in each apartment means more apartments which equals more money for the owners.

I have no idea, honestly. I estimate about 100 years or so.
Meh..

My house was built in 1951. It was originally a small GI house built after the war for a military family. It has oddities because of this that you wouldn't really ever think of. I have reason to believe that my bedroom, the biggest in the house, was oddly used for some type of storage because there's an old latch crevice that's been painted over and a master bedroom wouldn't have one of those from the outside in those times otherwise. Kinda odd.

We built another house onto the side of this one where the large back yard used to be. It's a very nice addition and is only about four years old.

My house was built in the sixties. It's a cape cod style but I found out after I moved in it has aluminum wiring which is bad. I had an electrition out to put safety outlets throughout the house, I still worry about a fire, it was electrical wiring that caused a fire at the beverly hills club that killed 2 or 3 hundred people back in the 70's here in cincinnati ohio. When I was born I lived in a mansion, it was probably built in the middle to late 1800's, it was beautiful and majestic, it had 6 bedrooms, and it was beautiful, but the people in the cemetery where it was decided to build a modern house so we moved into the new modern house, it wasn't as pretty. They tore down this amazing house with it's crystal chandeliers and rookwood fireplaces and mahogany staircase. and leaded glass front door. It still makes me sad to this day.

How old is my house? :o

Well, we built it back in 1999 - 2000, so it's hard to believe that it's nearly eight years old. It seems just like yesterday that we moved into it.

We moved in May 2000, and I was ten at the time, and our eighth anniversary of living here would be this May -- and I'm now eighteen.

So, you could say about half of my youth was spent here; a little less. The other house we lived in was built back in 1982, I think, seven years before I was born. Then we moved here. ^^;

I'm not really sure how old my house is. It can't be that old though. Maybe 40 years? That's a random number though, doubt I'm correct.

Faye 01-19-2008 04:40 PM

My house is pretty old I think.
How old? I'm not sure.
I just know I didn't have electricity in half of my house for more than two weeks because the circuit box thing was broken, and it happened because my mom had to blow dry her hair. -____-;;;

I wish we could renovate this house, but we're renting.
It's always too cold in here during the winter, and way too hot over the summer. Damn windows.

Plus the area's boring, and I have annoying, scary neighbors.

Our stove is broken too. Dx
They need to bring a new one in.

My house was built in 1899, so it's 109 (edit: not 108, silly me) years old by now. It is no reason to worry, the house is absolutely stable, modern, nice looking and well-cared for. Just a random mix of antique and modern, but I enjoy this. Most of the neighbours' houses are as old, though I believe the house I live in is among the oldest if not -the- oldest of them all. (My house's not in the US.)

My condo/townhouse was built apparently in the 60s/70s area. o:

My house was built little over ten years ago. The area I live in is relatively new to be developed but built up fast. The first house I lived in which is in a neighbooring neighboorhood was built about 20 years ago back when the roads weren't even paved here.

Jeanemon 01-19-2008 07:01 PM

The house I grew up in was build back in the 1880's. Creepy old farmhouse with bad electricity and a family graveyard on the hill.

Not our relatives, either. I was terrified growing up. XD

The house I live in now... I'm not quite sure how old it is. Old, though, going by the types of wood used. But after it was damaged in a fire (And thusly rewired very well because of it) my dad restored it, so most of the old decor is gone. The wood that was used though, like for around the windows and the doors, we reused and restored. It's this gorgeous dark cherry wood.

I've got a really elegant staircase, too. I love it. XD

Rananteriel 01-19-2008 07:03 PM

The semi-detached I live in was built between the wars .. so around 40-60 years old, so pretty old but not too old.

My mum wants a thatched cottage, if she wins the lottery :D

heartpoint 01-19-2008 11:38 PM

Lolly 01-20-2008 12:25 AM
