Wow people have gone through some pretty bad and gory accidents as children! I have a few that I can recall...

The biggest one was when I was 7 and having a party at my house. I was on my couch with my friends and when I jumped off the couch I tripped and landed right on my elbow in the wrong way. I completely dislocated my elbow bone so my right arm was in the weirdest position possible. I remember my dad saying that it was only 'meat' keeping my elbow attached to the rest of my arm ><

I have also had a few small accidents as a child. One time when I was like 2-3 (still in diapers) I decided to hop up the stairs like a frog. I was actually able to get quite high somehow but near the top I fell and tumbled backwards down the stairs. It hurt a ton and my parents were very worried.
Another time when I was around 6 during recess I was running and it was very rainy and wet. I slipped and scraped my knees on the concrete. Both my knees were all bloody and nasty. I was carried in the school by a teacher and they just cleaned my knees up and put a bunch of bandages on. I still have a scar ;______;
One last accident I remember was when I was 11 and I was swimming with my family. I was kicking off the wall and skimming the bottom of the pool for fun. My dad then told me a technique he used to go farther. I tried doing this and ended up bashing my head on the pool floor when I kicked off. My whole head was spinning and throbbing for 10 minutes after that.

The funny thing is that i have had so many accidents as I child, it would be impossible to count. However, I guess it's possible to list a few in chronological order, ha ha:

When I was five years old there were small chairs that were like little recliners. When I pull up the foot stool, I tripped and cut myself on the chair. I'm not quite sure how though.

Then in Second Grade, while my parents were at a parent/teacher meeting, my sister and I were playing on the playground. I was swinging on the monkey bars and decided to flip upside down. As soon as I did, I fell and hit my head.

The funniest one was when I was twelve and was running around with my friends. I wasn't paying attention and then BAM! I hit a pole. Thank god I didn't break anything.

As you can see, I've a klutz.

I skinned both my knees (by accident of course) when I was a kid. I wore these weird bandaid cloth thing on them. Anyway, other than that I didn't get any treatment.

Any and all other injuries I have mentally blocked out. Meaning my childhood was pretty crappy, and I basically don't remember most of it.

Wow! Harsh You have been through a lot!
Well when I was a little kid I too did very crazy stuff, but some how I managed to stay alive! Well the worst accident I ever had was my chin.Well my aunts friend bought donut's and I was eager to get some, but no!!!! They told me to wash my hands first! So I did. I ran to the kitchen. It was dark and I could hardly see. It didn't bother me because I was eager to get a donut. So yeah I got a chair (I couldn't reach the counter I am only 3) and then right before that the chair slid and made me bump my chin that caused me a deep cut on my chin. I screamed for help and they all ran to me as if I cut my hand off or something! They rushed me to the hospital right away. I didn't see the harm so yeah I got a cut? I didn't hurt anything. They didn't put those medicines when I fall asleep so I felt them just go inside there and sew it,which tickles! It wasn't a big deal but everyone thought it was. The mark where they sewed it is still there and guess what I never got that donut!

Whenever I wasn't even in grade school, I went to a babysitter or daycare although the person babysitting didn't really have all too many kids. Man was I a meanie back then, just like the devil, because I would get behind some guy upon the slide and bite him because he wouldn't slide down the slide. My impatience is almost as horrible as it was back then, but the only thing that has changed is that I don't bite back and I don't climb trees like I used to.

My accident from falling off of the tree and having everyone not believe me and step upon my fingers to laugh at me was the last time I would ever see a tree to climb upon. I wanted to be exactly like the guys and show them that I could do anything that they could do but ten times better. Well, I was pretty good at it, but the tree limb that I was upon suddenly snapped. It was probably becoming rotten in the inside and no one would have realized it. So it would have fallen with any kid that hung upon it. BOOM. I fall. @[email protected] It was so bad, but then after I realized that I could wear a pink cast. It made everything all better ^^ XD I got to show it off at daycare.

Lol I'm danger prone....

Lets see,
When I was little and had a walker-chair deal thing...
I was walking near the stairs and well I feel down,
I was only 1 and I was down there crying, thankfully I didn't get hurt....
#2
I was at my old baby sitters, and I was climbing up stairs to get to the top of a playground type thing with a slide and swings...
And My foot slipped on one of the stair bar things,
and I hit my lip...
My tooth went completly through my lip and I didn't have stiches, but I still have a scar...
#3
I was again at my babysitter's, and I was rolling and playing around in their living room, and I slipped and smacked my head on their concrete fire-place ledge...
still no stiches >.<
But another scar....
I know I have more I just can't think of them....

o___O;;
Well....I fell out of a tree once when I was younger.
Not really really little, but yeah....

And I think I put rocks in my ear in like...kindergarten or preschool or something. xD

Oh, and my sister cracked her head open on one of my dad's table saws, when he had his woodshop in the basement at our old house.
He glued her head with [I think] wood glue. He's a vet so he knows how to do that. xD

Sagitar 01-26-2008 10:21 AM

I have almost drowned a couple of times.. -.- I can't swim. don't even remember how many times.

I have fell from chair and hit my jaw so that my teeth went right through it D: fortunately I don't remember a thing from it.. must have been in such a shock.

Also, when I was in shower once I broke an aquarium, causing nice cuts to my hands that had to be sewn in a hospital.

yeah.. that's all I can remember. I have so many scars though xP

Scott Zombie 01-26-2008 10:36 AM

Um im not sure I have done a lot?
one of them was when i called my moms boyfreind stupid and my mum washed out my mouth with soap it was horrible.

another time was when i was playing with my action figures in the christmas tree and i thought the cat was one of my toys lol i miss being a kid.

daashi 01-26-2008 11:56 AM

Um . . . the one I remember the most.

When I was younger, much, much younger, I had this metal swing set.

Now I was goofing off with a couple of the neighbours kids. I asked one of them to hold the swing so I could to this pathetic little trick. Except halfway through the trick that girl let go of the swing and it slammed into the back of my head.

The wound was tiny, didn't even need stitches, but christ did it bleed! Blood all through my hair, down my shoulders, arms and cheast, both of my hands from trying to stop the bleeding.

One thing I still can not believe even to this day was that a little kid with head trauma, upper body covered in blood had to wait about one and half hours to be seen by anyone, and another half and hour for a doctor to look in on.

dreamerice 01-26-2008 01:15 PM

Well I was a dumb kid, I saw some ice on a slide and it looked so good that I licked it, needless to say i was stuck to it. I was so embarrassed, I didn't want anyone to see me like that so i just pulled and ripped my tongue off of the slide, boy did that hurt. Never knew it could bleed that bad. But I learned my lesson.
There is a Christmas movie with a scene in it that a boy did the same thing. Every time I see that movie it reminds me of how stupid I was

Priestess of Athena 01-26-2008 01:23 PM

I haven't had nearly anything as bad as you guys. However, I did knock my tooth out with my tennis racquet once. I don't even remember exactly what I did, only that I was goofing off, and suddenly I hit myself in the face with my own racquet. Next thing I knew, my tooth was hanging out of my mouth on a single thread and the blood was gushing out. Luckily it was a baby tooth.

The only other accident I had was when I started going down a slide and the pull-strings of my hood somehow got caught. I ended up getting stuck hanging by my jacket which was getting tighter and tighter. Luckily a sixth grader I knew (I was in third grade?) was there and ran over. Otherwise I mighta suffocated 'cause everyone else on the slide was my age and completely clueless to the fact that I was choking. They thought I was just goofing off!

secretdae007 01-26-2008 02:06 PM

I never really had many accidents as a child that resulted in too much injury... which is surprising because I did many dangerous things ^^; The only thing I can remember (and have a memento of) was when I was about 8 or 9, I got a huge gash on my leg...

We were playing sit-down tag in my front yard which just so happens to connect with my neighbor's yard. What we didn't know is that either our neighbors or someone had broken light bulb glass on our side of the yard... So when I slid, I got a huge cut in my left calf. I remember poor brother #3 was watching us and I'm screaming my lungs out for little brother or someone to get him. He had to carry me into the house (dripping blood none the less) and clean it out and bandage it... I probably should have of gotten stitches or something (it was pretty deep and long) but I survived without them...

Uzura 01-26-2008 02:53 PM

@secretdae007: Aw, you can always count on your brother to help you when you're hurt. My brother always did...though most of the time he was the reason I got hurt. Completely on accident though xD

daashi 01-26-2008 04:02 PM

There was another time. It happened during this holiday day care for school aged kids with working parents, that I went too.

It was raining so we were playing inside, and someone pulled out this huge jump rope, and we all started to jump in and out.

After a while of doing this, my feet started to hurt so I took off my shoes. That was a mistake. Even though I took off my socks, I was unable to take off my stockings and the building had polished hardwood floors.

Make a long story short. I went to jump in, slipped, fell face first and landed on my front teeth. They now have caps screwed in my upper front teeth as I knocked out roughly half of each tooth.

evil_one_69 01-28-2008 09:58 PM

Accidents as a child:
1.I have cut off my big toe on my right foot by stepping on a bag of glass that my eldest brother pushed me into.
2.Sliced my thumb open by carving and had to have 3 stitches.
3. slammed the same thumb in a van door having it flattened and in a brace for a while
4.Gym, doing the wagon wheel by someone holding your ankles and you holding theres and not tucking your head in as you are heading for the ground and pinching every vertebra in your back and being in a brace for 3 months.
5. Washing dishes and sticking your hand in a glass that is too small having it break and having to go back to the hospital for 3 more stitches.
6. standing up and giving yourself a concussion hitting your head on a hand dryer (dumb moment in my life)
7. falling down 2 flights of stairs on crutches after being in a auto wreck 2 hours prior to a tornado :(

I think that is the most of them...there is more but they are too embarassing to put on lol

Cable Induced Coma 01-29-2008 01:35 AM

Mmm when I was little me and my friend would go to the park alone..and well one day some left a sled! So we being the bright childen we were..hauled it up onto the play gym area, positioned it on top of the slide. Me being the more daring one, I got onto it first. Unbeknown to me, but the slide got skinny on the bottom. So as I was sliding down, the sled suddenly got stuck at the bottom of the slide and hurled me off of it.

I landed on my stomach which knocked the breath out of me. This had never happened to me before so I thought I was dying..my friend thought I was dying. Complete chaos

D;

Nichaling 01-29-2008 01:44 AM

I always did bake accident XD I'm not a good driver!
But they weren't that bad... just legs full of blood and dirt... and hands too.
I also broke my leg once, climbing a mountain... my hands were humid and I sled -___-
My mother was doing the plane with me in the street, she was running and she triped, feel on me XD I broke one of me tooth and my arm XD

Eileanora 01-29-2008 01:56 AM

hmm, there was the time in 3rd grade, at one of my older brother's baseball games, and a couple of classmates, my cousin and i were playing tag underneath the bleachers.

well one of the other kids started to get rough, and i ended up hitting the top of my head on one of the bolts under the bleachers xD it was bleeding pretty bad, but i actually didn't need stitches.

Markyeo 01-29-2008 07:14 PM

Well, When I was about 5, I think, I once hit the mirror and it crashed (it was a BIG BIG mirror) and it even broke the door! Door are break-in proof door! And it crashed them! I was staring at that for like 5 minutes until my parents started laughing and screaming! XD It was something like mixed!!

Screaming_Biscuits 01-29-2008 09:11 PM

I injure myself all the time. In strange ways too.

Last summer, I was just playing football with some friends, tackle football of course. (I'm a weird girl in that sense.) And I attempted to tackle one of the guys I was playing with, but I sort've failed and he ended up dragging me across the field-thing and made the touchdown.
But somehow I had managed to slice my knee open, and there was blood pouring from it, so bad that I couldn't go in the house, because I would get the carpet dirty, so I told another friend where the bandaids were and had her get them.
So later that night, after I was all bandaged up and had just taken a shower. I took some scissors and did some self-surgery on it. Cutting off all the excess skin around the wound and such.
Really nasty bussiness.
And what do you know? I've got a lovely scar on my right knee now, looks like I had knee surgery
.

Majinkoz 01-29-2008 10:45 PM

I guess the worst accident I had as a child...wasn't really an accident, but it just really sucked!

I was 5 years old and I was at my grandma's house, she had a huge sheep dog, and she was always really nice and friendly. And one day I was sitting at the table eating some barries....which were really good. ^^

And the next thing I know Daisy (dog's name) had her mouth around my foot shaking it. There was blood everywhere, I have a huge scar from it, and it is probably the thing that I remember the most out of a lot of things...even though it was almost 15 years ago it still haunts me.

I don't have a problem with any dogs. But when I went to her house I was just fricking afraid of her and I pretty much never saw her again. She died a few years ago...

Clorissa 01-29-2008 11:33 PM

Well when I was very young (crib-using-age)..
I climbed over the edge and landed on my noggin, causing a concussion.

When I was around 4, I was chasing Ms. Kittykat on my hands and knees, and I didn't duck low enough when I tried to chase her under the coffee table. Three stitches. Still have the scar.

No wonder I'm so fucked up >>
