Accidents you had as a child
Well I have a long long list hehehe I wasnt a terrible kid really I was the opposite but maybe I had back luck ?
Here I go: Accident 1) When I was a baby less than a year old I was eating on my eating tall chair and swinging on it and then it fell down with me on it and there was a crystal pot behind the chair with a plant. Result: they had to sew my head XD (that can explain a lot of my strange behaviors late in life xD) Accident 2) Still a baby on the same chair >.< (they should have throw it away dam it!) and my cousing was running after a dog and tripped with the chair with me on it of course, I was eating or something and I hit the floor and cut off a piece of my tongue =D tadaaaaaaa wonderful, my father was looking for the piece of tongue in a blood bath arghhhhh hehehe (they had to sew it to the rest of my tongue ) hehehe Accident 3) In the playground, I was playing on the slide and I decided it was a good idea to go not sitting but laid on it with my hands at the front to stop the fall...it worked but sadly there was a glass piece on the sand and I cut my hand with it...mom took me to emergency room and they cleaned it, but the doctor was so dumb not to see that there was still a piece of glass inside my hand...the wound healed with the glass inside and I was still complaining about the pain when my dad got crasy abut the complaining and pressed my hand to see what was going on and found something hard inside...took me to hospital and they found a 2cmts piece of glass inside my hand....Jesus!!! Accident 4) this is actually funny and I wasnt that young hehe (13 y/o) I was at a friend's house and she had a pool, we were at the pool, I actually met this friend at a public pool and we both were good swimmers and athlets kind of girls, we liked doing aqua gym and things like that, so well there were her good looking cousins at the pool too and I decided it was a good idea to show off a little of my swimming virtues and did a roll in the water just like I used to at the Olimpic public pool, thing is this pool had 1/2 metre of water....and...I smashed my whole face against the pool floor ..........>_> blood everywhere and me trying not to die and say I was ok.... ok you can imagine... So tell me about your accidents will you? I bet you cant beat me! xD |
The only major accident I can remember was when I was at my grandmas jumping on the couch and I fell over and hit my head on the coffee table. I had to get stiches and still have a scar at the bridge of my nose. No more monkeys jumping on the...couch.

Good lord Trinity! It's amazing your still alive O.o;
I got hurt a lot as a kid, but nothing ever serious. I've been fortunate enough to only break one bone in my life and that was my left middle finger. Let's see. Oh, I remember something! It was some time in elementary school. I had just gotten myself a popsicle. Not realizing just how cold it was, I wrapped my lips around the popsicle and they were instantly frozen to it. I was so surprised that I yanked it off, ripping a whole layer of skin off my lips causing blood to just poor from my mouth. I covered my mouth and ran to the nearest teacher I could fine. When she asked me what was wrong, I took my hand off my mouth to tell her and all this blood fell out of my hand. Poor woman looked like she was about to faint. |
Poor woman, well amazingly I never broke a bone in my life XD
I had a teeth accident too now that I remember, I was at the bathroom with mom, she was looking for something in the cupboard that had a mirror door at the top of the washing basin ans I was there like biting the washing basin's border when she accidentally hit her elbow against my head and my two front teeth were smashed against the basin >.<;;; had black mouth for like months!!! |
Broke My leg Twice xD The first Time was when i was like 5 or something. i was on top of my cupboard Trying to Do one of thoes wrestling moves my jumping from high up. I had landed on the Had wooden bit of my Bed..Ouch
Second time was When i was playing outside. somebody accidentally hit me with a cricket bat..HARD!! |
Oh gosh. I have a few that I've been recently told. Nothing to big I don't think. When I was around a few weeks to months old I was laying on the couch and for some weird reason spontaneously fell off and landed face first.

the only thing i can remember is an accident i had in a market park..
it was when my brother tried to leave me alone, so i ran to chase him because i was a little coward kid.. then i fell, and the big scar on my knee is still with me..XD |

The worst accidents I can remember with injuries were one time when I was riding on the back of my sister's bike ( I was in kindegarten) and my foot got caught in the rear wheel of the bike. My left foot was nearly skinned and I had the gear shift go through my ankle. I still have the scars on my ankle. You can even see where the shaft came out the other side. *shudders*
The other accident happened when I was in 3rd grade. I was really skinny and there were these 2 huge dogs that had gotten out from a neighbors. Well we caught them and my father being ever so brilliant put the leashes on my wrists and went inside to answer the phone. So heres a maybe 50lb girl with 2 leashes one on each wrist connected to 2 150lb dogs. Well the dogs decided to run down the street and dragged me with them. I was finally able to get teh leashes off my wrists about 30 feet down the road, but my whole front was bloody and my arms were a ragged mess. It took the doctors nearly 30 minute to clean all the gravel out. </3 |
When I was about 4 years old I was holding on the the side of this arm chair and bouncing up and down (as you do when you're young and hyperactive) I tripped and my upper teeth went through my lip and embeded themselves into the arm of the chair. My teeth had gone in so deep that getting myself free was quite awkward.
Then I had a "Kermit the frog" phase. Where I'd hide behind the curtains and leap out at anyone passing by yelling "Kermit the frog of the Muppet show!" @[email protected] Anyhow, I got bored of waiting for someone to pass by so I decided I'd leap out and grab hold of the lamp shade. Jumped out yelling, got hold of the lamp shade, spun around in circles for a few seconds and "BANG!" the lamp exploded and all the power went out. The force threw me to the ground and I also got a massive electric shock xD Last one (that I can remember) I was eating this candy that was multicoloured tiny round balls (I forget the name of it... like smaller versions of skittles, but they smelled of flowers) anyhow, I decided to see how many I could fit up my nose. Being that small, some got stuck 0_0 So my mum had to take me to the hospital to get them removed. She was really embarrassed as she worked at the hospital and she still wont let me forget this xD |

I remember I almost drown once and it was like a movie cause there was a waterfall and I couldnt swim against the current cause I was too small and if it wasnt cause a man saw me and jumped to the water to save me idk what would have happened to me...maybe I would have become a legend XD |
I think it was in second or thrid grade but thanks to my stupidity I accidentally cut my lip wide open inbetween a pair of scissors.
I can still feel the scar on my lip from that episode. XD |

Injuries... i haz dem
Wow, i remember a couple of bad ones... back in the days before everything was childproof and baby safe and what not... I was in the museum of natural history in philadelphia on a school trip and we were all supposed to gather around this video monitor display about dinosaurs and i LOVED dinosaurs back then, so i was annoyed when i could really get close to the monitor. So being the brilliant child that i was i climbed up behind it on a little ledge and leaned over it... well that was the point where i fell and drove my chin onto the pointed corner of the monitor housing. several of my classmates got splashed with my blood, they rushed me to the first aid station and then the hospital but they got me stitched up and if i ever shaved my goatee off i'm sure you'd still be able to see the scar i have.
Oooooh, another good one. I was in this bible camp a long time ago and there was a place on the grounds that had a massive steep hill. It was fun to sled on in the winter and for some reason they thought a homemade water slide would be perfect RIGHT there... So basically they dug a trench out of the hillside, covered it in that slippery plastic that the bottom of those old style kiddy pools were made of (you know the kind, bigger than the hard plastic ones but not as big as the inflatables... odds are you've at least seen one... either way, point is its slippery) well they dug their little trench, laid down the material and started running water down the hill... now to prevent slipping of the material they put large rocks which seemed to be grabbed at random from the surrounding woodlands. So finally my turn comes at the waterslide and i go zipping down it, it was tremendous fun and i loved it so i get to the bottom without incident, i got to scramble up the side of the pit that it ended in and my footing gave way. All of my bodyweight slammed down knee first into the sharp upturned edge of one of the secured stone. it literally cut straight down to the bone. i laid there screaming and cursing while blood ran into the water... it was like something out of one of those religious type end of the world horror movies. so i got home from camp early with a sincere apology and the waterslide was shut down. those are the worst of the worst, i'm surprised any child of the early 80's survived to be honest with you. :D The whole world may not have been out to get us per say but it sure wasnt out to protect us. |

The only thing I can remember that was bad at all was once when I was... I dunno, 5 or so, I was trying to carry my tricycle down the porch steps and tripped, landing on the sidewalk on my head. I didn't crack it open or anything but I had to go to the hospital. |
I just remembered another one.
My brother was on this old exercise bicycle we had in our room for some reason I wanted to get on it and we fought. The pedal slammed against my wrist and it shatterd the bone pretty bad. XD |
When I was youger I used to babysit my nieghbors young children. One of them had a temperfit and threw a baseball at me. It hit me in the mouth, send my bottom lip over my lower teeth and effectivly peircing my lip.
Blood went everywhere and it was all I could do not to kill the kid. I had him pinned down and was ready to swing befor my sanity kicked in. Lucily it didn't leave a mark or anything. Wounds in and around the mouth usually head well, and better yet, quickly. Although that was a lot of blood. XD |
I got home from swimming practice one night and I wanted to get a glass of something but when I was getting into the stubborn I knocked over one of our coke glasses, then I jumped off of the chair to clean it up. (Yeah, I was a stupid child.) I embedded a nice big chunk of glass in my foot, to this day my mom hates glasses.
The worst part of it was that I had a student team working on my foot and they forgot to anesthetize so I was screaming so loud that my mom finally just let me bite her arm until a doctor came in and asked, "why is that child screaming?" He bit their heads off for not giving me a local. Other than that I've been pretty lucky, my brother and I would get into fights. One time he scraped my back with a screwdriver. I guess I'm lucky he was so little because he could have given me a puncture wound. We had one of those cat/dog relationships. He'd bite me, I hit him with a plastic shovel, he kicked me in the head. My parents had their hands full. xD We get along now for the most part. Other than that one time though, I've never been to the emergency room. I did have an hour long nose bleed one time... that's about it. ^_^ Oh, I can tell you another one about my friend too. This girl hit her so hard with a volleyball in gym class that it broke her wrist. She told them she thought it was broken but her teacher thought she was just exaggerating and trying to get out of her test the next bell. She had to take a test with her wrist broken and by the class after that it was so swollen up that they finally let her leave. |
oweeee. I thought you die if you cut your tongue! I don't know how you people manage all these accidents! I've never broken, sprained or in anyway broken my bone in my life so far. Touch wood! And that's 14 and a half years. Once when I was about 7, I was doing some sewing, left the needle in the carpet to get a drink, and then in was eye way in my knee, >.< Wasn't too deep, didn't actually hurt but anyway, we could pull it out by hand/Manually.

There's only one accident that I had as a child that I can remember right now. It was actually a little bit stupid of me too. >->
When I was 3 or 4, I used to climb around EVERYWHERE. Trust me, I mean everywhere. xD I was like a monkey. One day, after crawling around, I decided to try and get up on this huge dresser in my brothers room. I pulled out the drawers, and despite how shaky the thing was I kept going. @[email protected] It ended up falling on me. D: Luckily me mother came in and saved me afterwards. I can't remember if I was hurt or not. xD |
Well, the worst accident of mine was flipping over the handle bars of a skooter and smashing my head into the side walk. I was a bit startled, but felt no real pain until I felt my forhead and found that I was bleeding badly. That scared me, seeing my own blood has always bothered me!
I started crying while I checked myself over for any other injuries and found my elbows and hips were both cut up badly. I was nowhere close to home, but thankfully, my best friend at the time lived just down the street! Result: I was sore for weeks! |

Anyway, I don't have many tragic things happen to me, as I'm overprotective. I swear -- every time I realize someone isn't wearing a seat belt, I shove it in their face so they get the message. It annoys everyone so much. >D But I have hurt myself badly a couple times. Earlier this year - I think in summer - I went to my sister's friend Bryanna's house. She and my sister were riding her scooter, and not thinking, I wanted to give it a try. Of course, I've never, EVER ridden one, so that wasn't my brightest idea. I'll skip the parts. But I did get a horribly scraped knee and some gravel and cuts on my hands and other knee. If only I had realized I couldn't ride a motor scooter.. xD My sister has had the worst painful encounters, I'm afraid to say. She's the one I'm always bugging about seatbelt forgetfulness. This one time at our dad's sister's friend's grandparent's house [O_______o Long chain of people, there..], my sister saw this cute little crab across a pipe. She tried to balance herself and walk across, but the seaweed hung across it caused her to slip. She cut her leg along the miniature blades of the pipe. She started bawling because the sight of so much scared her to . My little step-sister, Sydney, got her off the pipe by informing her that leeches were in the water [it was some lake, I think]. To this very day, you can still see the several scratches strung across her calf. It's.. very disturbing. |

I was ran over by my Grandpa XD but I blame my dad since he was supposed to be watching me :P I was sitting in a pot hole and he backed over me (i was only a year old) the doctors say that the mud saved my life. I also at the age of 2 spilt battery acid on my elbow so I know have a red spot on my elbow |
