I've recently discovered that red bull is banned in most countries and that if u drink way too much of it, it could cause a chemical imbalance in ur brain and make u feel depressed. my parents took me off of it because i was addicted and needed like 3 daily or else i couldn't function right....what i don't get though is why they don't ban it in the U.S.??? tell me wat do u think about this????

Oh gods, if they banned redbull in America and England I can so see the modelling industry struggling.
No I don't think they should ban foods. I think people should grow the hell up and accept responsability for their actions. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that energy drinks are not healthy if drunk on more than the odd occasion. People need to stop whining and saying "Waaa it's not healthy ban it" and start taking responsability. Look at the labels, that's what they're there for and make a logical decision. Gods, it's because of this whole "Ban this" attitude I'm paying £12 just to get a box of lucky charms!

That's weird that it's not banned if there's strong evidence that it can cause a chemical imbalance. What is the evidence? I guess drinking alcohol can cause problems too though, and you don't see that getting banned. Most foods and drinks seem to be ok or good in moderation, but having too much of most foods/drinks always seems to be bad.
I never drink energy drinks, but my brother does. He drinks Monster though, not Red Bull. It's good that you aren't drinking it as much anymore.
Edit: Are lucky charms banned where you are Angel? What for?

You shouldn't be drinking three Red Bulls a day in the first place! D: Jesus. I don't really care for Red Bull, but if they banned Monster and Rockstar, there would be a rampage! I would be smashing down buildings and stuff. >_<; I guess they don't ban energy drinks in the US because they're not actually killing people, and if there was to be a ban, the pissed off American masses would run amok. Or something. O:

I don't think the government should be a police, telling you what you can and can't eat. Energy drinks aren't banned for the same reason cigarettes and alcohol aren't banned. People would go mad and government would eventually cave in. Besides, people need to get control of their own lives and take responsibility for their own actions, not expect government to do it for them.

Energy drinks aren't really good for you
If your active, then you can drink some, if your not
Then you shouldn't really be drinking it
Lots of people drink Monster at my school though
Its not allowed but they get away with it
._.
And I didn't know red bull was banned in some places

Hmmm... I never really drink energy drinks... but When I was a senior in highschool and it was down to the wire to graduation I was going to school from 9 AM to 9PM (It was an alternative school with a night school program) then going home and staying up till about 2 am every night... and drinking four or five Monsters Just ot function...
But since then I maybe have one every once and a while when I'm out and about and feeling a little sleepy... It's cheaper than starbucks...

Wow, I didn't know places had banned red bull! Not that it matters to me, I prefer a cup of coffee over an energy drink any day. I don't like the taste of them very much, so only very rarely drink them.
I don't see why they should ban it in us or canada. I mean, even healthy things are bad for you if taken in excess. As has already been said, people need to use their common sense and own judgment concerning things. For example, even though I love coffee and could drink it all day, I limit myself to two cups, and occasionally one or two more. Very occasionally.
Unfortunately I notice common sense is lacking a lot these days, so perhaps why they felt the need to ban it in certain places?

Personally, I don't like energy drinks at all.. I don't think there's a need for them. :/ And I won't mind if they ban Red Bull in the US. xD

I've never really had any energy drinks...I took a sip of one once and it tasted nasty so I never drank any again. xD So it doesn't affect me if they're banned or not. I don't think they should be though; people should have a choice whether they want to drink it or not.

My little sister drinks two cans of the the 'Monster' energy drink everyday. I tried it...was very very very GROSS. I nearly gaged. ;______; Energy drinks are horrible, along with energy bars. YUCK.

yeah, i hear that stuff is terrible for you (especially given the fact it's mainly just sugar water and caffeine). i doubt it's the most harmful product ever invented, but the last time i drank it i do remember my heart beating really fast (but arguably i was doing high activity on my body at the time anyways, but my heartbeat was still a bit irregular) despite all this, i don't drink it out of health concerns, but just because i can't stand the taste of it.
