i pretty much played it for three hours.
brother in law started to dance to thriller so i had to watch and not play the game
My Neice started to cry and i told her to stop
and my dad was annoying me so after three hours i fliped the board and said "FUCK THIS GAME!!"
and i walked off.

My sister, her boyfriend, and I have had a game last at least five hours. The power had gone out and we were really bored, and I needed to do something to cheer me up because work hadn't called me to tell me that the power was out. My phone line isn't connected to the telephone poles. It's an underground line, so we can still get calls. Though, they don't know that...so yeah^-^;

Yeah, I don't care much for monopoly. It's just so long most of the time. I'll play it on a computer or game console for a little bit, but I avoid the actual board game.
My brother-in-law gets really upset when he thinks he's losing and he always ends up throwing the board. It's because of that that we don't play it with him as a rule.

Weird/funny moment playing monopoly was when I was playing with my family and I was winning.. then my Dad landed on one of my properties with a hotel on it so he had to fork over all of his money and scrounge up what he could from his properties. It turned out he didn't have enough to pay me so he offered to sell me his horse; his game piece was the guy on a horse. I said he couldn't do that and we went through a good hour and a half arguing whether or not he could do that and how much it was worth...

In the end he gave me a real dollar and I let him keep playing with no debt to me.

Yea I can agree.Monopoly is anoying and last waaay too long..hats why I personallly hate thate game.Yea one of my friends that I know loves that game and every time she comes over she wants to play monopoly!Very annoying!She begs to play that game..I think its the longest game ever made.Is it?

The most distractions come when your trying to play a good board game.

I love Monopoly though. I have regular and the American special thingy... one. XD

I haven't played in around a year because nobody wants to do it with me. Honestly it's not fun by yourself. ^^;

Anyways I'd always be banker cause I like money that way.

I used to play a lot of board games with my family, Monopoly being one of them. I never really liked that game though, I thought it was pretty boring. But it was neat how they made it in so may different versions. I think I had a Pokemon one. xD

I will not talk about that evil vile game. It's horrible. We never EVER finish that game! GAH! I'm going to go and burn the bored now.

Yea and when I did play I never never ever won!Not once..Well There was one time I had won but I don't count it because the other person let me win.so yea...

I love Monopoly, but never finish a game. Sometimes we agree on a time limit before starting, because you're right, that game can last for way too long.

Lol, I actually like Monopoly a lot. But only when I'm winning. xD;;

It's not fun at all when you're losing because the end of that game is always so long and drawn out. It's fun to know that you're going to win and have people drop out one by one. But if you're know that you're just going to lose, it's extremely frustrating to sit there for ages, waiting to go bankrupt. >.<

*giggles* I HATE Monopoly >.> Well, it's pretty fun during big family events -- When you can forget how long and tedious the game is because there are six or seven different people having a good time, regardless xD But as a general rule, it's just... Long and tedious, for me :3

I've had similar problems with Parcheesi, actually >.> My mom, dad, brother and I were playing it once a few years ago -- It was going on two hours I think xD; And my brother gets grumpy when there aren't immediate results and they aren't in his favor >.> So he was having a tizzy fit over the game, my mother was scolding him, I was suggesting we quit, and Dad looked like he wanted to die... When the cat jumped about fifty feet in the air (just randomly spooked out), landed on the board, and effectively ended the game... Sending it several different ways all over the living room xD;;

I have never in my life finished an entire game of monopoly :lol: It just takes way too long. I think the longest I've ever played was like an hour and a half or something like that :(.

I really like Monopoly actually, but I'm also really good at those sorts of game and so they don't last too terribly long anyways. I don't really have a problem with games that last a really long time though either. The longer a game takes, the more chances you have to win, after all. ^_^

But... I love Monopoly! :shock: Seriously best mini birthday party ever was just my sister and I playing monopoly for a few hours (LotR Monopoly). I don't think i laughed so hard in my life. We can get pretty wild, especially when we are alone and bored. Needless to say, a lot of pieces flew :lol: Gandalf kept attacking Gimley for some ... strange reason :lol:

And for the first time in our lives, she kicked my butt in the game! :P

Monopoly ish evil! That game can last forever, it is soooo boring after five hundred hours! How in the world can you ever win the game? it's ridiculous. I think too that Monopoly is evil! D: EVILLLL! I don't like how much time I have wasted on it, when I could of done other bunches of stuff. Like hanging out here in menewsha! Gr....Monopoly should be banned, not even existable. I mean....I guess it is kinda fun in the beginning, whee, money, whee roll, whee moving wierd little tiny silver pieces! Monopoly can be boring but watching someone throw the board off the table after going bankrupt when they landed on a Hotel'ed out Boardwalk makes it all worth it :wink:
