I've come to notice that ever since college I run on five hours of sleep. o.o Every day my roommate and I stay up doing artwork/homework/bs-ing till about 3 in the morning, then get up at 8 for classes. I don't even need caffine! Heck, we do laundry at 12 am XD It just seems at night I can squeeze out a few more drawings, or finish another project, stuff like that. Time is precious and very lacking!
I'm just wondering, am I the only night owl around or are there normal people who enjoy 8 hours of sleep a night (Like my boyfriend, I call him an old man for going to bed at 11).

I can't function on five hours asleep. No way. If I'm even able to get out of bed in the first place, I'll probably end up falling asleep sometime during the day. I stay up until around 3:00 AM usually. Sometimes later. But I don't wake up until like 2:00 PM.

:lol: I am a night owl.
I live on about 3-4 hours
of sleep wake up at 7:30 am
after going to bed at 3-4am.
My daughter wakes me up, I
remember when i used to sleep
24-7! Used to love sleep, now
it seems like an unnecessary
thing to do. haha
I can't even think why anyone
would need 8 hours of sleep. D:
After not sleeping that much in
a long time it seems weird when
I know people who sleep that and
more.

I'm either a night owl or a sloth.
There are periods of time where I stay up all night until morning and don't get much sleep, and then there are times when I sleep 14-16 hours a day. I'll probably be a night owl when I go to collge. Partypartyparty and procrastinate assignments like usual and have to pull an all-nighter on the last day. :lol:

I once ran on caffine and sugar for 24 hours without sleep. It was fun but I don't think I'll be doing it again in a hurry. I run on very few hours sleep anyway then I have to go to school which I could fall asleep in but I never do.

I like my sleep, but yeah, if I can get a bit more work done or finish something off, then I'll stay up :3
I usually get around 8 or 9 hours, and I may feel tired, but I can function without caffine. I can push it to 7 hours and still get up in the mornings, but if I get too tired I get seriously bad headaches D;

I normally run on three to five hours of sleep. I work until 10 at night then get up around 4am to work again the next day so I'm used to not sleeping at all. Through high school, I always got like three hours of sleep too so I got used to staying up all night then so I guess it just kinda carried over from there.

I can't say that I can survive on only five hours of sleep, but I am a night owl. It's so hard to go to bed at night, even when I am tired. It's the only time I have to myself to do the things that I enjoy doing. I'm one of those people who has to have their "me" time so it's hard for me to give that up.
When I was in school I got so little sleep. I'd fall asleep between two and four am, get up at six, get home around 12:30pm and nap if I had time, then I'd be babysitting. It hit a point where I had the kids in a routine of taking naps, and I would nap when they did. Then I'd be up until 2-4am doing homework and studying.
I guess I could survive on five hours of sleep if I had to, but I couldn't do it every night. I totally understand about being able to get things done at night though.
Like right now, I'm getting things done online and my boyfriend is asleep in the other room.

I don't need much sleep to get going, just like you. I think I go on about five or six hours if I really have to. :P!
But, considering I don't do much, I tend to just lay around in bed for about 12-14 hours of the day.

Sounds about how my early college years went. x3 Now I can't really go without sleep. I guess that's a sign of getting old? 0.0;;
I'm still very much a night owl though....such as being on Mene at... *looks at clock*..five o'clock in the morning. xD
My natural schedule is pretty much "backwards" I'd much rather sleep during the day and do stuff at night. x3

i'm totally a night owl myself. i sleep when i have to and wake up when i have to, but honestly i'm usually up all night. i like the quiet and solitude night brings, and i'm mostly too active and energetic at night to sleep anyways. i mostly get my rest when i can during the day.

It's awful...I'm 14 and only get about 5-6 hours of sleep on days when I have school, though it's all my fault for being a poor time manager.
Still, I'm awful when it comes to sleep times.
Hell, today I passed out on my bed around 8 pm. And woke up around 2 am; the time now is 3:50..
That tells you something. :lol:

Sometimes I stay up till all hours of the night and have about 5 hours of sleep. I seem to be alright as well though a little sleepy but I manage to get through the day with just about as much focus. I think though that you may get more done at 1 am in the morning because there aren't as many distractions, Sort of.

My sleep varies. I go to bed anywhere from 10pm to 2am, but always get up around 8am. So I get anywhere from 6 to 10 hours of sleep. Yes, 10 hours. I can be really lazy sometimes. Sometimes I take naps during the day too. :oops:

I've been like that all my life - I used to get up at 5:30 for my 7:30 class in highschool - even though I would stay up til 1 in the morning. lol - I was always tired and yet I managed. I still manage - although I do sleep a bit more than I used too - but not by much - now that I'm in college I get up at 6:30 - so I get about an hour more sleep than in highschool lol

It's actually very weird for me. I noticed that, the more hours I sleep, the more tired I am. It makes absolutely no sense, and usually results to sleeping for 5 hours and feeling refreshed, versus sleeping 8 and feeling like crap.
I am such a night owl though. I do not usually feel tired at night, usually during the day. Then I take a quick nap, and I am set until the early morning. Maybe it's cheating, but I function better like that.

I used to be able to sit up half the night and get up and go to work in the morning, not anymore. It seems the older I get, the more sleep I need. Enjoy it while you can.

Lol, I get about 8 hours of sleep each night but that is not enough. DD8 Sucks so much because that is not enough! I drag myself out of bed most of the time at 7 am to take a shower. Then I have go take my sister to school then catch the bus. Once I get to class, I literally fall asleep. Dx

I feel the same way. I seem to be able to get more down at night. I think it's because I work better under pressure... like if something's due the next day, I'll get on my ass to actually work on it. If I have a week to do it, I'll just goof off and not concentrate as much... sort of like now when I'm supposed to be writing a paper. XDD
I usually get like 7-8 hours of sleep though normally. I fall asleep in class if I get any less. Though, I usually end up with only 6 hours if I have a project or paper due the next day. XP
I love sleep though. XDDD I like to sleep alot on weekends and holidays (like 10-12 hours?).

I hate wasting time with sleep, but sometimes I just LOVE sleep.
It just feels so nice sometimes. @@;;
For the past week i've taken a couple of short naps after getting home from school, even though they just seem to make me more tired when I get back up.
My bed is just OH SO COMFY. ><;
If i'm doing something at night, I could stay up forever, but if i'm laying in bed watching tv, I wont be able to stay up too long.
I am definitely more of a night person though, i'm always in a much better mood at night and active then I am in the early day.
I could sleep in until like 1:00PM if my boyfriend wasn't to wake me up.
To whoever can go to bed way late and wake up early normally, you're very lucky!

I really want to have 8 hours of sleep, but my brain won't let me. It just has to think of random thoughts when I want to sleep, and since I have to wake up early in the morning, I end up with like... Seven, six hours of sleep. Then I nap when I come back from school, or even in Spanish class. Which explains why the only class I have a B in is Spanish. *growls*

I've been a night owl all of my life. It seems like the longer I sleep the more grumpier I am. Once I went to bed at midnight and got up at five and I was fine the whole day. The next day I did the same only getting up at six and I was grumpy and sleepy. It's very strange.
