That's an interesting question. XD I've never thought of that before. But...who would want the moon? I mean, if there aren't any resources we can use there, it can't be inhabited, and there's nothing much more we can learn from it (I think?), what would be the point in claiming ownership? ^^;
EDIT: Nissa! That article is amazing!!! I'm especially interested in the lunar colonization they're talking about. WOW. ^^ I'm so terrified of not being able to breathe, though. It's a paranoia of mine. So I'd be too scared that something like oxygen systems would fail and stuff, so I'd be afraid to go into space, let alone live on the moon! i think nobody should own it! we're already destroying the earth and that's enough. and if a country was to own it, it should NOT be the US, because they are one of those nations who care least about the environment and treat it very disrespectfully >.<

I don't believe the moon should belong to any country, as it's not even on Earth. None of the countries would take good care of it, and it would simply be a clone of Earth. -_- And we all know how we're doing down here. So, I say just leave the moon and any other planets alone. It's not ours, so we shouldn't touch it.

really, in all actuality no one can own the moon it's like the earth, does anybody really own it? no gosh we humans, goodness we think we own everything! In all seriousness, I don't think it would be right for just one country to own the moon. If anyone was going to own it, it should be a commonwealth. I am not real sure we should try to ever colonize Mars either. Ethically I am not sure we have the right to do that. |
